@Annny27 me too and have three days left of the second trimester!

Tired hot dizzy.

Don't think the heat helps. Very much counting down the days x

sunnyd67 · 19/08/2022 21:49

@Annny27 yes, I have to have a nap in the afternoon. Back to work on the first of September - I am not sure how I will cope. Stairs are a killer, also my back and sciatica is so painful, I had to lay down every 20mins if I'm doing something like cleaning the house, because the pain so intense,

Annny27 · 20/08/2022 08:05

Glad I am not the only one feeling like a walking zombie 😂

@Skl2021 oh bless you yeah I imagine the mum guilt is strong! But they will understand! Are you still having weekly monitoring for baby?

@flowergarden16 yep the heat was gross! I find the heat of the kitchen when cooking a bit too much atm! Me and OH share cooking but on my nights, he has to come finish up the last bits/ serve as I need to sit down with faint ness haha

@sunnyd67 when does mat leave start? Mid october for me! But yes to the afternoon naps! Ouch the sciatica sounds dreadful :(

Annny27 · 20/08/2022 08:06

@Skl2021 for some reason it didnt tag you above ⏫⏫

sunnyd67 · 20/08/2022 08:58

@Annny27 officially on the 28th, but my last day is 14th October, can't wait!!!

Skl2021 · 20/08/2022 09:10

@Annny27 yes still weekly monitoring then maybe a plan of action at 37 weeks unless anything changes. X

Cruz86 · 20/08/2022 11:26

@Annny27 the tiredness has hit me at 29 weeks. Hoping it was just a rough few days but I'm struggling to keep my eyes open in the afternoon!

How's everyone doing?

I had a scare in the week and ended up having my first trip to triage! Had regular tightenings every few minutes and after a few hours, I decided I should get it checked out. The tightenings were very clear on the monitor so they checked my cervix and did a preterm labour test, but both were fine. Wanted me to stay in overnight but I discharged against medical advice 😬 Now feeling like every twinge is baby trying to make his way out too early 😩

Who's prepared and who still has loads to do? I'm in the second camp 😂

Xx

flowergarden16 · 20/08/2022 11:51

Oh @Cruz86 glad you're ok. It's so nerve wracking at the end!

I'm just desperate to get to 32 week scan without having had any previa bleeds. I'm 27 weeks on Monday and my anxiety is sooooooo high.

We'll get there 🙏🏻🙏🏻

flowergarden16 · 20/08/2022 11:52

I also haven't done anything except buy a second hand Moses basket as I'm kind of still thinking that I can't believe this baby is really going to come home. Hope that feeling goes x

Skl2021 · 20/08/2022 11:59

@Cruz86 glad everything was fine 💞 I'm currently debating whether to go get monitored. Feel like he's not moving as much as normal 🤦 but then he moves. Feeling so on edge!
I'm so not prepared. It's starting to stress me out now. I have nothing ready and so much to buy and sort. But I'm just so tired and achy that I can't be bothered to do anything 🙈 haven't even got a hospital bag ready yet. I need a kick up the arse!! X

@flowergarden16 keep thinking positive 💞 u have got this not much longer to go 🤞🙌 x

flowergarden16 · 20/08/2022 12:00

@Skl2021 the movement thing is so stressful ! Like you think you haven't felt them for ages but you also feel silly

When are you due?

Yeah have to be through ten more weeks to get to 37 and then he come come safely 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Skl2021 · 20/08/2022 12:03

@flowergarden16 yes I think I'm second guessing myself. He's moving but I don't know if it's his normal 🙈 so stressful. I'm due at the start of October. Nearly 34 weeks now so should really be organised and I'm on weekly scans so he could come earlier. X

flowergarden16 · 20/08/2022 12:08

So exciting @Skl2021 ! I mean, you can start getting stuff together.

I have an Amazon basket of stuff ready to go, all arrived next day so you'll be fine! Baby really doesn't need much anyway.

So close for you now...

On movements, it's a on hard but towards the end they never mind you calling or popping up to check. It's very natural x

Skl2021 · 20/08/2022 12:13

@flowergarden16 I should have everything ready by now 🤦 I'm super unorganized this time. I still feel a bit like I will jinx everything or something will happen 😣 miscarriage has sucked the fun out of everything this time around. Won't be happy until he's here. I need to write a list and make a start 🙈🤣 time will fly by! Yes I might give them a ring it just fills me full of anxiety. Terrified of going on the machines x

Srx1 · 20/08/2022 14:20

@Skl2021 I feel the same! Although I started buying bits but definitely always have a worry at the back of my mind whenever I get excited about things 😫

About movements, I got worried 2 weeks ago as although I couldn't tell the exact pattern, the baby had a quiet day and couldn't feel him in the evening when i normally do so I called and went to the triage at midnight. They were really nice, monitored us for about 40mins, turns out he still moves although I can't always feel it - because you could hear a whooshing sound on the machine and I couldn't always feel it! I was sure I can feel it all by now! Anyways, everything was fine and reassuring when they explained it all and how there's still time to get the pattern etc. I was 26weeks at that point. I never know anymore what is normal! It is tricky @flowergarden16

Skl2021 · 20/08/2022 15:36

@Srx1 I'm feeling so overwhelmed with everything. I know I need to start but I just can't bring myself to do it 😣 yes last time I had monitoring I couldn't feel a thing but u could hear the whooshing I think the anterior placenta doesn't help 🤦 hes moving alot more now. Always something isn't there 🙊 xx

Srx1 · 20/08/2022 16:19

@Skl2021 I completely understand you! And I have anterior placenta too

Tofu35 · 20/08/2022 19:28

24 weeks today, my app tells me this is an important week in terms of viability (due to lung development). Didn't know I needed to be concerned about this date, but glad I'm here all the same.

sunnyd67 · 20/08/2022 20:30

@Tofu35 Congratulations on reaching viability week ❤️

Tofu35 · 20/08/2022 20:56

Thank you @sunnyd67 another milestone reached xx

barneymcgroo · 20/08/2022 21:23

@Tofu35 That's great news - well done!

arianasky · 21/08/2022 15:54

Hello all hope everyone is good I've been away so haven't been on the thread for a while, I can't believe how quick time is flying I'm nearly 27 weeks now, crazy some of us are literally weeks away from giving birth how exciting 💕💕 I had a 4D scan and he's looking so cute, the day was tainted unfortunately by someone stealing my partners car 🤬 so my stress levels are through the roof at the moment, how is everyone?

Oh no @arianasky that sounds very stressful, is it likely they'll find who did it? But I'm glad you got another peek at your wee boy! 4D scans look amazing xx

It's been a quiet weekend for us, it's a roast chicken dinner tonight and maybe watching a film (or spending an hour looking through Netflix and then giving up!).

Skl2021 · 21/08/2022 18:19

@arianasky lovely pics 😍 so jealous 🙊 xx

Bridgey8 · 21/08/2022 21:22
