@Bridgey8 ohhhh yes... Particularly when I bend down - I think the weight of the baby squashes my lungs even more than they already are.
Had covid a few weeks ago - every time I bent over, I'd start coughing, and then (my pelvic floor being not quite what it used to be) I'd do a little wee. Period pants are brilliant. Aahhhh, the glamour of pregnancy!

Skl2021 · 21/08/2022 22:41

@Bridgey8 I'm getting our of breathe doing simple things 🤣🤦 rolling over in bed or even getting in and out of the bed and I'm gasping 🤣🙊 x

arianasky · 22/08/2022 08:17

@Tofu35 I doubt it tbh the police haven't even bothered coming out just said a stolen car is a low priority even though we have cctv of the criminal 🙄 thank you 💕

@Skl2021 ah it was amazing to see and he was playing ball for once 😂

@Bridgey8 Same I'll have random moments where I feel like
Breathing is a chore 😂

I saw on the Tommy's twitter feed that today is national rainbow baby day. Thinking of you all with your wee (and not so wee) rainbow baby bumps 🌈 xx

flowergarden16 · 22/08/2022 13:26

Happy rainbow day ladies

Just had the most awful morning, midwife couldn't find the babies heartbeat in the Doppler so sent me to hospital. Luckily yo there they found it straight away but was horrendous!

Ten weeks to go. Feel utterly exhausted but the endless worry x

arianasky · 22/08/2022 13:33

Happy rainbow day ladies not long until we have our little rainbows in our arms 🌈❤️

@flowergarden16 oh no that sounds so scary! Is everything ok though? 💕

OP posts:
flowergarden16 · 22/08/2022 13:34

Yes all ok @arianasky he was just hiding behind me placenta and I think the original midwife wasn't very experienced. Bloody terrifying though!

Need a lie down now x

Srx1 · 22/08/2022 13:53

Happy 🌈 day!
@flowergarden16 ohh that sounds terrifying, I'm glad everything is ok

arianasky · 22/08/2022 14:16

Happy 🌈 day everyone 💞💞

Been for my weekly scan and the little monkey is back to breech 🤦🙈 this little one is really keeping me on my toes!! Having an appointment with the anaesthetist over the next couple of weeks just incase 🤦 getting real now x

Prayingformyrainbow93 · 23/08/2022 13:37

Anybody measuring on the 97th percentile? (Or ladies with precious babies who did?) Just been measured for the first time (28+3) and now thinking I’m carrying a giant 😄 xx

barneymcgroo · 23/08/2022 13:57

@Prayingformyrainbow93 is that fundal or scan?

Prayingformyrainbow93 · 23/08/2022 14:35

It’s the fundal height @barneymcgroo xx

barneymcgroo · 23/08/2022 14:38

Notoriously inaccurate - at my 28wk I measured below the 5th percentile. Had a scan - actually measuring bang on.

Prayingformyrainbow93 · 23/08/2022 15:55

Ah really! To be fair my midwife kinda said the same thing about the inaccuracy, but then I start thinking my partner is 6 foot 4 and I’m growing a toddler 🤣 going to have a private scan anyway next week (booked before this) so I’m sure they’ll be able to tell us if she is! @barneymcgroo xx

Annny27 · 23/08/2022 16:18

@Skl2021 oh no!! Little monkey

Have you seen the exercises you can do to try encourage him down? Mine was still breech last week at 29 weeks and feels the same position as I see the bum sticking out. So I am trying not to sit reclining anymore as apparently that's bad as they can go back to breech easily

@Prayingformyrainbow93 my fundal height is bang on but baby is a bit small so bit inaccurate for me but Its useful to see how you grow on your curve :) have they referred you for scan?

barneymcgroo · 23/08/2022 16:25

@Prayingformyrainbow93 Ha! Well with a 6'4" partner, perhaps you are growing a big'un! Do report back, would be interested to see what the verdict is!

Srx1 · 23/08/2022 17:16

@Prayingformyrainbow93 my baby has always been on the bigger side of average, probably because we are both tall . I have a midwife appt next week.

@Skl2021 I have no idea what position mine is in now as I feel kicks literally all over the place but I've been trying to do the recommended things to encourage him to get in the optimal position, such as: leaning on the table, spending some time on all fours, putting pillows behind my back when on the sofa and not slouching in, sitting in upright/forward/open legs position when I can and I have also replaced my desk chair with a pilates ball as it encourages that position. And planning to start swimming soon! Hopefully it will all help 🤞🏻

barneymcgroo · 23/08/2022 18:16

@Skl2021 @Annny27 My first was breech, and I probably did sit reclined a lot then. Less so now - 2 x DS somehow leaves less time for that!
With DS2 I spent a lot of time on hands and knees, a lot of time walking, as was desperate to avoid another section. No idea whether it actually helped, but I thought I'd better try something. I'm 33 weeks with this one, and am none the wiser about which way it is. Anterior placenta means I can't identify anything. I have a scan next week, so should hopefully have an idea after that - still feeling kicks EVERYWHERE!

Skl2021 · 23/08/2022 18:25

@annyyes my midwife mentioned the positions today. I don't sit reclined as I'm so uncomfortable as it is with my rib I can't sit or stand in position for long 🤣🙈 can never settle! He definitely is a monkey all the way through this pregnancy 🙌😂 x

@Srx1 I feel kicks or movement like you too all over and can't really tell which position he is in. It's only cos iof the scans 🙈 wow you have tried alot of things! Didn't have this trouble with my other 2! This baby has his own plans and has done from the start so I'm sure nothing I do will change that 🤣 he was head down last week so sure he will move again! X

@barneymcgroo yes the anterior placenta definitely makes things harder! I just feel random jabs either low down high up or round the edges I can't tell what's what! Hopefully he will be head down at your scan! I wouldn't put it past mine to be head down again next week! He just liked to keep me on my toes been trouble all along 🙊 x

Srx1 · 23/08/2022 19:24

@Skl2021 oh yes I feel kicks on both sides so i though he's transverse but then again I feel them in my abdomen too so who knows! 😄 Yes I've been a real nerd with the advice I got from my antenatal classes haha!

@barneymcgroo oh yes and walking! I've got energetic dogs so that helps ☺️ anterior placenta here too..

sunnyd67 · 23/08/2022 22:09

@Prayingformyrainbow93 at my 28 week (27w4d) appointment my fundal height was 50th percentile. I had a private scan at 28w4d and baby measuring on the 97th percentile, nearly two weeks ahead!! It will be interesting to see what happens at my 31 week appointment, I will be taking my private scan report with me.

Prayingformyrainbow93 · 24/08/2022 10:29

Isnt it strange? To be fair I feel like my bump has “popped” over the last couple of weeks, but I didn’t imagine it’d be on the 97th percentile. My midwife didn’t say anything in terms of what that means in “weeks ahead”, how did you know you was measuring 2 weeks ahead @sunnyd67 ? I’m also going for a private scan on Tuesday so hopefully I’ll get a bit more clarification there. @Annny27 i haven’t been referred for a scan but have a private one booked? Would that be usual protocol? My midwife didn’t seem concerned that baby was plotted so high, just said they use it to make sure baby is growing steadily basically xx
