@Hopingforarainbow27 I do occasionally get random sharp pains out of nowhere. Painful enough to stop me in my tracks and hold onto my belly. It passes pretty quick. This is my second pregnancy and it’s happened enough that I not concerned about it, but you know your body better than anyone. If it will help you to check into it, you should.

@arianasky my first pregnancy, I was prone to infection too, it’s horrible! Thankfully it stopped immediately once I was no longer pregnant.

barneymcgroo · 21/07/2022 10:52

No idea on names here - haven't even spoken about it! Still got a wee while to go though.

Clothes wise, got pretty much everything. All hand-me-downs from my other two, and various cousins etc. I have a couple of pairs of dungarees that were my cousin's - she's now 19, and they've done about 8 children on the way.

COVID sucks. Both my boys now have it.

barneymcgroo · 21/07/2022 10:53

Best to keep on top of infections, which it sounds like you're doing. Hope it clears up soon. X

arianasky · 21/07/2022 11:07

Thanks all, it's a pain I'm completely fine then out of nowhere it just appears and it makes me so sick 🤢 we've decided on Myles for our boy 💙

@Hopingforarainbow27 I think I had a sort of a sharp cramp in the night recently due to maybe moving in a weird way
@arianasky wow you are so organised! 👏 well done! I am planning to sit down this weekend, go through everything and make a list of things I need to get and learn about too. 🤞🏻
sorry about your infection!
@Tofu35 😆 that made me laugh.. I'm curious now about these names from a victorian novel!
@barneymcgroo ooh that's annoying, hopefully it gets better asap😐

Skl2021 · 21/07/2022 11:25

@barneymcgroo hope your boys are ok 💙 x

@arianasky lovely name 💙✨ xx

speake1 · 21/07/2022 11:29

@arianasky love the name Myles, we’re planning to use as a middle name if we have a boy 💙 Hope you manage to see the doctor today & aren’t feeling too unwell! Xx

arianasky · 21/07/2022 14:00

@speake1 thank you, we love it too. I have I've been given antibiotics so should feel better in a day or two thank you

@Srx1 I'm awful when I have an idea in my mind I have to get it all sorted 😂 that's a good idea I made a list and I just tick off as I get the item

Glad I am not the only one nearing the third trimester with only a cute outfit to their name 🤣🤣🤣

@arianasky gorgeous name!! I know what you mean about spreading costs out ....at this rate its gonna be an expensive month for us when we start buying haha

@Arwen7 had you bought any boy clothes before finding out she was a girl??

Had my whooping cough vaccine and my arms killine me haha!

Arwen7 · 21/07/2022 16:54

@Annny27 luckily the few clothes I bought are all gender neutral! I can now go get some dresses if I see something cute which is exciting.

@arianasky lovely name!

sunnyd67 · 21/07/2022 18:36

I messaged my midwife on Monday regards to dental exemption certificate, nothing major, it can wait, but she still hasn't replied? Is this normal practice to not get an answer? I am worried in case I actually need something regards to my and baby's wellbeing.

Annny27 · 21/07/2022 20:14

@sunnyd67 that's normal for me, my midwife only works 2days a week but don't worry because if you ever need anything urgent you can call triage - 24 hours and almost instant :)

@Arwen7 awh that's lucky! Yeah you can buy girls bits now 💗

Srx1 · 21/07/2022 21:32

@arianasky sounds good! 👏 I just get overwhelmed with the amount of stuff to do and get 😆
@sunnyd67 mine also works once a week. Although you'd think she's been in since Monday? Unless she's off? 🤔 in regards to the exemption certificate, I got mine via email before I even had the booking appt. Not sure if it's like that everywhere though..

sunnyd67 · 22/07/2022 05:39

@Srx1 I know she is at the surgery Tuesdays and Fridays, so she has been in since, unless, as you say she is unwell.

Lizm1990 · 22/07/2022 07:31

Hi ladies, been a bit quiet works been full on etc. I hope you are all doing ok 🥰 I woke up today with a sore throat when I cough, feels like when I’ve had tonsillitis countless times, I felt conscious yesterday as I usually work either at home or in an office and I needed to travel to Basingstoke and back with a 10-5 meeting anyway I was knackered when I got in but ppl were asking me why I wasn’t staying for the meal I just felt like they thought I was making excuses. I don’t know if you girls get this but when it’s longer days I always feel ill the day after. But I’m meant to be taking my mom out for dinner later for her bday and the cough has got me worried, so I’m gonna send my fella to the shop to get covid tests just incase 🤦‍♀️ Hopefully not though!

@sunnyd67 i got my exemption certificate on my first appt with my appt if that helps.

Prayingformyrainbow93 · 22/07/2022 08:19

I still haven’t had an exemption certificate and I’m 24 weeks tomorrow (bit weird) and not sure how I’m supposed to get it! Did have to pay for my antibiotics for urine infection earlier in the pregnancy too as GP was useless in directing me to how I actually got it! @sunnyd67 so if you find out let us know haha! Xx

Srx1 · 22/07/2022 15:09

Does anyone have a recommendation for a pregnancy pillow? I've been using a normal pillow but I started waking up with painful hips...I don't want to spend loads but not sure if those amazon best seller ones are any good.. they always have mixed reviews..🤔 and I can't get one of those that take up half of bed 😆

barneymcgroo · 22/07/2022 15:17

With ds1 I used a dream genie, I think it was called. But it was looooong, so turning over was a bit of an ordeal - wrestling with an octopus in your sleep...

with 2 and 3 - normal pillow. Between knees is helpful for hip pain, and another on front. I find lying sort of prone, top leg up, rather comfy. Not prone enough to squish the squish, but well settled on that side.

sunnyd67 · 22/07/2022 16:41

@Prayingformyrainbow93 I am 25 weeks, it wasn't mentioned in my booking app or any other app. I went online to find out how to get it, it states that your midwife needs to apply for it, it can be done online and sent through to your email almost immediately or through post. My midwife got back to me this morning, saying she has sent the certificate in the post. Hope it helps.

sunnyd67 · 22/07/2022 16:44

@Srx1 I bought AviiatoR from Amazon, it does its job but I have nothing to compare it to

Srx1 · 22/07/2022 22:29

@barneymcgroo 😂 octopus!! thank you, I will have a look ☺️ @sunnyd67 that is the U shaped one right? Is it very big? Looks massive!😬

Arwen7 · 22/07/2022 23:22

@Srx1 I have the bbhugme and I can't recommend it enough. It shapes so well which supports my bump and in between the legs at the same time. However they are expensive. I did get mine second hand on Ebay though for half the price

Elspethelf · 23/07/2022 07:23

@arianasky I love Myles! I find boy names so much harder than girl names but the name we are considering is Mars which I think has a similar feel. I have loved it since I was a kid. We live in America so no Mars Bars here thankfully but I guess time will tell if I’m brave enough.

arianasky · 23/07/2022 08:42

@Elspethelf oh I love that it's different which I love

@Srx1 I also have the aviiator from Amazon it is big but it's nice and comfy

OP posts:
sunnyd67 · 23/07/2022 10:24

@Srx1 we have king size bed, it takes up half of the bed, so yes, it is quite big 😄
