Hi all, looks like we'll be filling up today or tomorrow. I wanted to create the thread early so we can have a link to the new one. Have a nice weekend!

still not got blood tests results back from 16th June 😫 in 2 days that will be 3 weeks. they sure love ramping people's anxiety up !

baby2in2022 · 05/07/2022 09:11

@chardaboo me neither but I didn't with my son either as I'm using a different hospital to the local one it took forever. It's been a month now but if you've not heard it means your low risk so I wouldn't worry xx

chardaboo · 05/07/2022 09:38

@baby2in2022 aww okay ! that makes me feel a bit better then. I thought this hospital I'm at is meant to be good. Maybe they are swamped 🤔. thanks for reasurrance

Toffee2911 · 05/07/2022 09:38

@chardaboo I was told if my results came back high risk then I would receive a phonecall within 10 days so I wouldn't worry!

I phoned my midwife who advised that they were low risk and that they would be uploaded to my notes when the hospital got round to it.. they were eventually uploaded around the 3 week mark 😊

Amphibian94 · 05/07/2022 10:19

Anyone been feeling movement everyday then have a couple days where there's nothing? I'm sure this is normal so early on (18+4) but wanted to see what others were feeling? I don't think they are concerned about reduced movement till 24 weeks are they?

hopefulsunshine11 · 05/07/2022 10:45

I'm the same, so nervous for my 20 week scan. I was extremely anxious for my 12 week, I know I should be feeling more excited as I seen bubs at 13 and 16 weeks and he was fine but the anomaly scan I'm so fearful that something is wrong. I haven't had any movements or bubble like feeling. I have no bump either, although I'm overweight and have a belly so that might be why but I don't seem to have any hardness as such. My scan is next week so just got to try remain positive and calm!

AG96 · 05/07/2022 11:59

@Vg92 First movements can be felt between 16-24 weeks which is a 2 month gap which shows how much everyone varies. Hope you feel movements soon, it's really nice to feel

@Laughingmole Aw great when you feel those movements. I feel them most days now. Will be really interesting to see if your intuition with the dreams are correct! I'm having a boy found out a couple of weeks ago 😁

chardaboo · 05/07/2022 12:08

@Toffee2911 great thanks! il maybe get them on badger notes this week then

Wanderlust16 · 05/07/2022 12:19

I’d gone 2 and a bit weeks so I just called them and they gave me my results over the phone as they were low risk.

The constipation struggle is real. I think I'm pooing every few days, and when I do I REALLY need to go. We're on holiday (island hopping in Scotland) next week, I'm tempted to bring some laxatives just in case 😨

hopefulsunshine11 · 05/07/2022 12:53

@Tofu35 I had to get lactulose from the hospital. It's helped a bit!

baby2in2022 · 05/07/2022 13:02

@chardaboo could have got sent to midwife and they haven't passed them on. Worth checking. Xx

I've found having a cup of warm water with half a lemon juice 🍋 really helps with number 2! Give it a go!

DogsAndGin · 05/07/2022 16:47

@ElephantGrey101 I am the same, and I will be having a c-section come hell or high water! I certainly can’t bring myself to even watch a vaginal birth, let alone consider one for myself!

I have a face to face meeting with a lady consultant to discuss a c-section in two weeks (very unexpected as I wasn’t expecting to be seen til the week before the due date, as is often the norm).

I am feeling confident though - I know that I have a lot of good research, statistics, and remember, after the recent Ockenden Review, hospitals cannot refuse a c-section, although they may refer you to a different consultant. So, stick to your guns, and you’ll get what you need. I’ll let you know how my meeting goes, and what kind of questions or pressure (if any) were posed x

Vg92 · 05/07/2022 17:50

Hi ladies, I have a breasts question. Do you still have sore boobs? Mine do not feel sore or tender anymore, but are quite itchy, mainly around the nipples. Am I a weirdo or it is just just a hormonal change?

Tulip1112 · 05/07/2022 17:50

@Vg92 mine are the same!! I get occasional aching but usually just those pesky nips 😂

HayleyBean · 05/07/2022 18:12

Vg92 - I get itchy nipples now and then and my boobs also mildly hurt now then too! I've been getting some shooting pains down my lower back and butt today. It's been horrible!

Does anyone work for the NHS? Are they allowing you to roll over any annual leave? My department is allowing me to take 10 days over to next year

tasha4eva10 · 05/07/2022 18:21

@DogsAndGin just out of interest how come you don't want a vaginal birth?

I'm having a c section too but for medical reasons. That's been planned since I was 9 weeks pregnant so I think when a c section is planned they do then a lot earlier nowadays

ElephantGrey101 · 05/07/2022 18:28

@DogsAndGin thst is interesting. How did you get this appointment did you have to ask specifically for it? In my first pregnancy I repeatedly said that because of my health conditions I don’t think I can have a natural birth and they kept telling me I would be fine.

Laughingmole · 05/07/2022 18:47

I haven’t had the achy boobs for a while but last night I had stabby nipple pain!
Literally felt like someone had a knife in my nipples!
Can’t say it was an enjoyable pregnancy symptom 😂😂

Tofu35 · 05/07/2022 19:13

Thanks @hopefulsunshine11 @littlecontis I will try any and all remedies to get things moving!

@Laughingmole yes to the stabby nipple pain, it's horrendous! If it's not stabby they're just sore, particularly after I just take my bra off at night. Sensitive wee blighters.

JC84 · 05/07/2022 19:48

I'm so jealous of you all not suffering with breast pain, mine are so sore especially at night - I sometimes can't get back to sleep because of it! I've gone from a b to dd (I was dd before first child but he ruined them!)
I'm getting movements every now and then like rolls which makes sense when that's all he does on the scans and shows everyone a handstand 😂
Isn't it funny how we are all different I am so set against a c section and will do anything I can to avoid it

JC84 · 05/07/2022 19:49

Those of you on aspirin are you all on the dispersable ones?

Orcarain · 05/07/2022 19:58

16 weeks today and I feel horrendous!

Cannot keep anything down! Decided to call my midwife and she thinks it’s stomach bug, I’m not fully convinced. Just don’t feel like eating or moving! Said if it continues into Thursday I might have to get electrolytes.

Just annoying as this pregnancy has been a breeze until now!

PinkFizz1 · 05/07/2022 20:15

@JC84 Yeah I am, 150mg of dispersible aspirin.
