Have my 20w scan on Wednesday at 19+5

@Slisha not so much weight - luckily I haven't got any scales but I've defo packed some on and I feel like my bump is waaay bigger than it should be!

@JC84 aww that's such a cute little bump! I love those early bumps! Mine popped at about 8 weeks and made me look about 12 weeks straight away! 😂 my muscles definitely hadn't strengthened since my DS! 😂
Got my 20 weeks scan today and am so excited! I've warned them at work that I'll be next to useless this morning 😂

@Mommabear20 Enjoy your scan! I wish I got excitement for mine I just worry theyre gna find something wrong and don’t actually enjoy or relax until they say all is fine by which point I’ve had the scan and I’m on my way out the door 🤣🙈

@Slisha ive put on nearly a stone already! You aren’t alone don’t worry…I’m hoping a lot is my boobs have got a lot bigger, or maybe that’s just because I’m fatter 🤣🤷‍♀️ x

@Jaaxe same here. Ball of nerves until it's all done. I do start to enjoy it near the end but by then it's mostly done. My husband enjoys them though - he goes in with the 'everything is fine until someone says it's not' approach. I can't do that though.

@Jaaxe I must say, I'm one of the fortunate ones. I completely understand how and why so many woman do get anxiety around scans. I've been incredibly lucky to never suffer a loss in pregnancy or have anything wrong with either myself or a baby (touch wood!). But every single person that has had a negative experience has my full sympathy, I can't even begin to imagine how awful it must be for y'all (quite rightly) worrying for 9 months! ❤️xx

@Mommabear20 that's what's confused me as I have very strong core from riding for years lol
Enjoy your scan, I'm excited for mine tomorrow! Last night I thought oh I haven't felt him for a day or so and he then went disco crazy for nearly an hour 😂

@Jaaxe me too, my boobs are huge and actually hurting during the night so i got up at 1am and put a sports bra on 🤣
@lifechanginglemoncake I think thats a man thing cos mine is the same.

Mine is on Friday. Still a few days to go. I am 19+4 today but still haven’t felt any baby movement. Anyone the same?

Had another scan today I'm currently 17+4. This was to check my chance of premature birth. Saw her moving away and waving 🥰 even saw her trying to push the placenta out the way as they scanned as it's in front of her face haha

Just got back from my scan and it's a boy 💙 He didn't behave himself though so I have to go back in 1-2 weeks for heart measurements, but she said everything looks absolutely fine. @Luckyme2022 I haven't felt any movements at all but everything was fine today, I've got an anterior placenta so that could also be why

Had our scan too this morning, all is well, such a relief!! We’d had a gender scan a few weeks ago so knew we were having a boy but she confirmed again, it was the first thing she saw when she started scanning 😂 she was like oh yes he’s not shy! 🙈😂

@MissC07 that’s great news to hear. And wonderful news that your little boy is all fine. ❤️ How long did your scan last?

I was told that if you want your baby to be more active during scan, have some cold drinks or eat chocolate / sweet stuff before the scan. This will help making your baby move so it’s easier for the scan. Perhaps you can try this next time.

I had a private scan before and was informed I have posterior placenta. Hopefully will feel the baby moves soon 🤞

Anyone had the experience bringing more than one person to your 20 week scan? My in laws are in town and wonder if they can come with my DH and me for the scan.

@Luckyme2022 I think it depends on the hospital but they should have information on their website. At my local one they only allow the partners to come, not even siblings are allowed! So I had a private scan last weekend where up to 5 people can go

@CP22 thank you 😊 Gld your scan went well this morning too! Our's put his thumb up at us as if to say 'everything is fine' 😂

@Luckyme2022 It lasted about 30 minutes I think. Annoyingly we didn't get any pictures as she couldn't get a clear view of his face so we'll hopefully get some when we go back in a few weeks. She had me doing squat jumps in the room, that was interesting/entertaining for my OH 🤣🤣

All fine at my 20 week scan today too. Much relief! Still team yellow and she was great telling us when to look away.

All these updates are making me excited about my scan tomorrow!

Just back from my 21wk scan. All fine and healthy, she looked at absolutely everything and walked us through what she was checking. Couldn’t believe the detail they went into. She also checked the blood flow to my placenta which was fine. Also double checked and she’s definitely a girl!
Got some pics and got my whooping cough vaccine too. Phew!

Just got back from my scan and it's another little girl!! We're thrilled!!! 💖 our poor little boy is well and truly out numbered now 😂

So happy to hear all the scan results. Congrats ladies. Looks like we have a lot of baby girls here 👧

@tasha4eva10 @MissC07 thanks for the info. I might give my hospital a call to ask more questions about the number of people who can attend and the length. Can’t wait to get my scan done on Friday.

Congrats on all your scan results ladies! Lovely news. We have ours on Friday, and whooping cough on Thursday.

Two new symptoms for me!

1. Baby brain. I am turning into a complete imbecile. I wrongly beeped a woman at a roundabout today, it was her right of way 😳 then I put my car into drive not reverse and nearly drove through my friend’s living room 😳😳


2. Nesting. I have purchased an upholstery cleaner and tomorrow I am blitzing the whole entire house.

Anyone else experiencing these?

@JC84 crikey! 2 years without a week off! 🏆 that’s incredible!

Crazy isn't it?! We worked all the way thru covid and then got rid of my useless assistant and have only just replaced her a year later. At Christmas I get Christmas day off and sometimes new years day and we work every single other day in December as it's manic for us. I am looking forward to missing the stress of Christmas and enjoying more time with the boys but I have to get everything prepped before I go 🤯
