@flowergarden16 no bleeding with the low lying anterior placenta. I think it's fairly common for it to be over the cervix in early pregnancy.

sarahj878 · 14/07/2022 22:39

@flowergarden16 if you do bleed try not to worry. I honestly couldn’t even tell you the number of bleeds I’ve had in each pregnancy and every time has been ok xx

flowergarden16 · 15/07/2022 07:17

Thanks @Bramblecrumble21 I'm trying not to freak out! X

ALittleBitofVitriol · 15/07/2022 12:05

Welcome new comers!

@Otterses , that's a difficult situation I'm sorry. hugs

@flowergarden16 was it completely over the cervix or just partial/near? I personally would go straight in with any bleeding, don't want to mess around with possible placental issues. 🤞 it moves!

I feel for you ladies in the heat! Sounds like a nightmare. I'm in Aus so it's winter and cold!

I feel so enormous already and I know I have so much bigger to get 😩 belly feels tight and full and uncomfortable and sore. Feeling my age this week - I turned 38 on Wednesday!

flowergarden16 · 15/07/2022 12:10

@ALittleBitofVitriol it's totally covering the cervix and right anterior sided. No bleeding yet but just worried about how much bleeding there might be if it happens Shock

CurlyNo2 · 15/07/2022 16:37

Hi everyone

Can I join this thread please?

I’m due 24th Nov with baby number 2 (although I’ve been advised I’ll need a c-section so will be earlier).

I had a loss back in Sept last year so this pregnancy has been super anxiety ridden and only just started telling people at 21 weeks. Our 12 week scan showed significant fatal abnormalities so we were advised to have a TFMR at 15 weeks which devastated us.

But we survived… and we are here awaiting our much longed for 2nd baby. I am 38 so really feeling it with this pregnancy, I had my son 6 years ago and felt like a spring chicken compared.

Take care x

roobearbaby · 18/07/2022 06:52

Happy Monday everyone. How is everyone doing?

Beanniebaby22 · 18/07/2022 08:41

Hope you’re all coping ok today if it’s hot where you are. I’m in Northern Ireland so it’s pretty warm here but not as bad as the mainland by the looks of it!

Dontbeaneejit · 18/07/2022 09:19

I've had to have my gtt test this morning so not eaten since yesterday afternoon and actually feeling really rough right now. Have to wait another hour for my next blood test before I can eat. This is not the best day for it! Predicted to be 40° here today 😖

Beanniebaby22 · 18/07/2022 09:25

Oh @Dontbeaneejit that sounds terrible! 😖 make sure you get something decent to eat when the test is over. And keep well hydrated.

Bramblecrumble21 · 18/07/2022 10:13

@ welcome curlynumber2. Hope you can enjoy the second half of your pregnancy. I'm feeling fine. I live near London but, on the border between red and amber weather warning. I'm at work enjoying the air con. Bit anxious about driving home tonight as it could be over 30 even at gone 8pm, when I'll be driving 40 minutes with knackered air con. I have one of those dog cooling mats on my seat and have put a bottle of water in the freezer. At home, we've filled the paddling pool.

When I got my pregnancy test, I planted some pumpkin seeds. It is a nice way to talk to my 3 year old about how growing babies and pumpkins is a slow process. I accidentally grew them up our hedge! I've got 2 growing and one is changing colour. I think they'll be ready before the baby.

@Dontbeaneejit I hate till by mouth. Test will be over soon. Hope it's negative.

Dontbeaneejit · 18/07/2022 11:20

All done now thank goodness. Really felt rubbish with no food in the heat. Praying the results are negative and there are no complications in that area. Ah the pumpkin seeds are a really sweet idea. They're growing well!

sarahj878 · 18/07/2022 14:25

Hi @CurlyNo2 sorry to hear what you’ve gone through so far, hope you can enjoy the second half of this pregnancy.

Ugh this heat is horrible isn’t it! Going to blow up new paddling pool later. I think I bought it for me more than my son lol.

@Bramblecrumble21 lovely idea re pumpkin and looks like growing well!

I braved some air conditioned shops today and got some ideas for the nursery. Now having a spring clean of the house even tho it’s boiling. Probably the worst idea!

Circe22 · 18/07/2022 19:08

Hey all,

In london myself and baking!!!
also been feeling really tired the last couple of days - but that might just be the heat. About to pass the 24 week mark (on Wednesday) , will be relieved about that and might buy something baby related.

love the pumpkin idea @Bramblecrumble21 , such a lovely visual way to keep connected to the pregnancy.

Ive started to play a song to the baby every morning now that they can hear. and making that into a playlist which I thought will be a nice thing to return to.

anyone else doing any fun pregnancy tracking stuff ?

sarahj878 · 18/07/2022 20:17

@Circe22 thats a lovely idea, might follow suit!
Im doing a journal and bump progression photos although only started recently. I’m also doing some art work with my son for the nursery which we will frame.

Hello everyone how are we all? I have been trying to hibernate the last few days! I really really hate the heat!! Work was nice as we have a new dispensary with new air-con, its the coolest i have been! I was sad to finish!

Welcome @greenerfingers and @CurlyNo2

@Otterses im sorry about your news and how you are feeling feel free to talk to us if it is any help

@flowergarden16 how are you now?

@Bramblecrumble21 that pumpkin idea is a great one 😊

@Circe22 apart from the app not really just kind of surviving lol

I did sit watching my belly for about 15 minutes watching my stomach moved as he was moving and kicking. It was quite a novelty as i
didnt have it with ds1.

flowergarden16 · 18/07/2022 21:10

@NotAdultingToday feeling less stressed - think the anxiety gets the better of me sometimes!

Also sweating 🤣

Kathno4 · 19/07/2022 06:35

Hey ladies, just found the thread again after the other one went quiet, 25 weeks tomorrow, feeling a little better just a bit over emotional here and there 🙈🤣
due nov 2, can someone add me please ♥️
midwife and consultants on the 3rd. Looking forward
how is everyone xxx

Cocobeau · 19/07/2022 08:28

Hi everyone. Hope you all managed a little bit of sleep last night in the heat. When my body wants sleep, it sleeps regardless so I'm quite lucky.

@Circe22 I'm keeping a kind of scrap book of photos and memories since finding out we were having him. As well as just all the milestones and firsts, we've travelled lots and done lots while I've been pregnant so it's quite a nice little reminder for us in later years too.

I haven't made any play lists as such, but I do find myself listening to all sorts of music now and telling myself he'll be born with an eclectic taste in music 😂 I also have little chats with him about any memories certain songs induce. I hope to god nobody else can hear me or they'll think I'm insane .

NotAdultingToday · 19/07/2022 08:48

How weird i sent an updated list last night but its not showing on the thread? Never mind

@flowergarden16 thats good! It happens to us all. I sometimws find even just voicing what you worried about helps gets you out of you head.

@Kathno4 welcome back!

All good here, i slept with an ice pack and the fan on last night and actually got a fairly good nights sleep.
Would have been undisturbed if ds1 had not woke me up screaming mummy, because he was lonely 😂 i curled up like a cat at the end of his bed and fell back asleep for a bit.
I keep telling myself one more day to get through and then its cooler (and better stay that way 😂)

@Cocobeau im like that too, drives my husband mad that i can just fall asleep anywhere anytime 😂

OP posts:
Cocobeau · 19/07/2022 10:18

@NotAdultingToday I'm happy for us! 😂More often than not I'll wake up alone and find my husband in the spare room because he's got fed up of watching me sleep contently the minute my head hits the pillow. We should make the most of it while we can as far as I'm concerned! 😄

rickandmorts · 19/07/2022 10:37

Hey all, nice to read everyone's posts and see how we're all doing! I'm questioning all my life choices that led me to becoming pregnant in the hottest 2 days of UK history, I'm dying 😂

I'm 21 weeks and just had my 20 week scan which I was a bit worried about but all looks good. Is anyone still dubious if they've felt movement yet? I think I've felt some tiny kicks but nothing big yet! She said my placenta was at the back so it's not like that's blocking it.

Anyway hope everyone is managing to keep cool xx
