Welcome @HarryPotterGeek84 and so so sorry to hear of your heartbreaking loss. That must have been incredibly shocking and traumatic. I hope this new pregnancy brings lots of healing energy for you and renewed hope. So natural to be feeling anxious though. Twinge sensations are very normal - I think if it's crippling pain or you are worried good to get checked out but generally, cramping and twinging in early pregnancy is common and just a sign that the uterus is stretching and accommodating the budding embryo! I've been having cramping yesterday and today too - I'm 17dpo now so hoping it's still fine. Thnking back to my DD I think it did experience on off cramping for the first couple of weeks after my bfp!

@RedElleJ that line progression looks great! Have you only done two tests?! I am amazed at your will power if so 😂👌That's interesting they agreed to progesterone if you bleed! I may call them up soon and see what they think about my situation. Just hoping I don't bleed! Didn't have any with DD and with the two losses I only started bleeding basically when I miscarried. I am thinking my previous mcs weren't as a result of low progesterone so it probably wouldn't help me anyway but it's good to know there are potentially things that can help us depending on the circs.

Argh I am so so unmotivated today and I have so much to do at work. The heat is also just making me want to be outside under a tree reading or snoozing. The weeks are draggggging atm, it's crazy how time slows down when we want it to speed up... April/early May feels like it wasn't that long ago at all but this last week has taken forever, how does that work?!

HarryPotterGeek84 · 16/06/2022 13:54

Thanks both @RedElleJ @MooBugz , I’m so glad I found this group, my DH is lovely but doesn’t really understand and it’s so great to be able to share with women going through a similar thing and not feel quite so alone.

@RedElleJ that’s a really good idea, all going well and I get to 6 weeks, I’ll get in contact with them as mine won’t even speak to you until that point, which I understand.

Keeping everything crossed for us all.

HarryPotterGeek84 · 16/06/2022 14:15

Thanks for the welcome @Skylark1990 ! That’s really reassuring, just trying to think positively but it’s so hard!

I’ve been prescribed progesterone from
the private consultant I was seeing, I did have some on-going spotting and a couple of heavier bleeds in the first pregnancy but he said that regardless of bleeding or not this time, it doesn’t hurt to take it and if anything it makes me feel like it’s something proactive I can do to try and reduce any risks.

RedElleJ · 16/06/2022 15:54

@Skylark1990 I have definitely taken more than 2 haha! I will show my full line progressions when I take my final easy@home tomorrow - I skipped a few days due to worry but I have some kind of line progression there. I was hoping for a dye stealer but I don't think I'll get it. With progesterone, it seems to help those who have had 3 or more miscarriages more rather than those who have just had one. However, there was still an increase in successful pregnancy for those prescribed it after one loss - you can find the info on the recurrent miscarriage page at Tommy's.

@HarryPotterGeek84 Glad to hear you got your prescription. That was exactly why I enquired about getting it. I wanted to be as proactive as possible and be able to say to myself I did everything I could. I hope the EPU do see you at 6 weeks if you need reassurance.

madeinthe80z · 16/06/2022 17:29

Urgh I know what you eating about the time draaagggggging @Skylark1990

Had my scan at the EPU today. Saw a sac in the womb, which is great, it's where it should be this time! She said that there's a lot of lining around it and all looks OK so far but it is very early so didn't see anything else.

Feeling a but uncomfortable as she was rummaging around in there for ages and I am pretty much guaranteed to get spotting after it now so that's something to look forward to 🙄

Anyway, I should stop moaning. For now, it's there and everything seems ok. Positive vibes!

madeinthe80z · 16/06/2022 17:30

Oh there's another typo!

I know what you MEAN not what you eating!

I obviously have food on the brain!

RedElleJ · 17/06/2022 05:50

Morning all,

How is everybody feeling today?

Just took my last, at least I told myself it was my last, easy@home and FRER. I also took a digital - I’m 15DPO so 2-3 is bang on so I’m feeling good today. I have a bit of that left sided cramping again but nothing debilitating so 🤞🏻

@madeinthe80z well that’s some good news to kick things off with ☺️ Hopefully, this is the start of a super healthy pregnancy! How are you feeling today since the scan?

Wishing everyone a happy and positive Friday x

Can I join? I've been ttc #2 for 4 1/2 years and it's been 2 surgeries, 6 ivfs and 3 miscarriages (natural conceptions) in that time. I'm 4 +6. My 3 miscarriages have all been before 6 weeks so that's a big milestone to get past for us. I've got a scan booked at my miscarriage clinic for 6+3 I think. I'm on steroids and intralipids and had humira too, so hoping that's what's going to make a difference this time.

MooBugz · 17/06/2022 07:18

Hi @seven201 of course you can and so sorry to hear about the trouble with ttc that's so sad having to go through so much but it sounds like it's made you stronger. How old is your first?

So just over a week for your important milestone how are you feeling, sending you lots or positive vibes from all of us

Hey all! Congrats on such lovely lines and a nice reassuring 2-3 @RedElleJ ! And I'm glad the scan showed what it should @madeinthe80z , super reassuring. ❤️ Welcome @seven201 and so sorry to hear of your losses that must have all been so heartbreaking to go through.

I'm 4+4 today and 18dpo and just did my lasts tests too haha well I say that. I think I might do one more Digi with weeks in a week or so to see if it goes up!
Both looking good, a proper dye stealer on FRER and 2-3 weeks on clearblue so feeling positive!

Now to stop worrying and just enjoy the ride! 🥰😅 What will be will be but I am so hopeful for all of us xx

MooBugz · 17/06/2022 07:56

Awww @Skylark1990 your tests look great! I'm so tempted to do a digital as I've only done the 3 FRER but might wait till I'm ready to tell people and do the cool one that says 'Yes +' I think that might be a FR digital but thought it looks cool that it says yes lol.

Glad you are feeing like you can enjoy the ride now although I'm sure there will be some wobbles along the way with all of us but I think we're onto winners seems to be a really good team here🤞🏼❤️

Skylark1990 · 17/06/2022 08:36

Thank you @MooBugz ! I've been having some quite horrible anxiety lately and not even about the pregnancy, so need to try to relax and figure it out. I think it's maybe transferred anxiety from the pregnancy,or perhaps due to the hormones etc. Hope that passes soon!
Good idea re the "yes" test! Although be careful as I think after about 9 weeks sometimes we have so much HCG it stops the tests working and they come back negative. 😅

MooBugz · 17/06/2022 08:50

Oh thanks for the tip I might need to buy one this weekend and take a picture of it the instead 🤣

I my the anxiety you have eases it's very hard to relax I know I can get myself worked up and I'm really bad for overthinking sometimes. I was driving to work today and found myself taking deep breaths which I find helps if I ever get overwhelmed then the deep breathing seems to help relax me. I used to get panic attacks from random bouts of anxiety last summer which thankfully hasn't returned!

Morning All!

@RedElleJ@Skylark1990 some very lovely lines! Congratulations! I finally cracked and bought some proper tests yesterday and it’s looking good, I’m starting to believe it! Too nervous to do the digital one yet - going to try and hold off until Monday.

Is anyone planning to test until they see a 3+? I’m not sure as it was nerve wracking last time and I don’t think I got mine until 6+5 from memory.

@seven201 that sounds like a traumatic journey you have been on, wishing you all the best and positive vibes for this bean and getting to that milestones.

@madeinthe80z great news on the scan! It must be such a relief to see everything progressing as it should! Fingers crossed the spotting is light and clears up quickly!

This was this morning’s test 😊

RedElleJ · 17/06/2022 09:43

Hi @seven201 I am so sorry for the experiences you have had with TTC. It sounds like you have a lot to try and help you through these early weeks so I really hope that this is the start of an incredible baby #2 - sending lots of love!

@Skylark1990 Aww that dye stealer looks amazing and always nice to see 2-3. I genuinely thought I would only see 1-2 today so I am buzzing! I have also never had a dye stealer so this mornings was fab - I know they don't mean much but its started my day off well so I'll take it.

That is great advice @MooBugz re anxiety - I swear I read somewhere that it is impossible or near enough impossible to be anxious/stressed when taking and focusing on deep breaths. I do them at night if my anxiety is high as I can some horrible symptoms like palpitations, etc. Not had them in ages though so fingers crossed it stays that way!

That is a lovely test @HarryPotterGeek84 - I would like to get a 3+...I have one left so I better use it haha! But I didn't realise that it can take that long to get it...I was going to test same time next week but I don't know if that is a good idea now.

seven201 · 17/06/2022 10:59

Thank you for the welcome everyone! My daughter is 6 now - we wanted a 2 year age gap, so that's looong gone!

I've got a clearblue weeks indicator I might use at the weekend. I sent off a finger prick HCG blood test one and it came back as in range for 4 weeks, but was on the lower side so I had a panic and sent off another one last night to check it's going up. I've never seen a dye stealer like that - I would be over the moon with that!

madeinthe80z · 17/06/2022 12:20

Thanks @HarryPotterGeek84 it was good to see it in the right place. I've got another scan in 10 days so I am hoping to see everything I should then as I'll be almost 7 weeks 🤞

And yep, I have done 2 digitals so far showing 1-2, 2-3 and have another coming from Amazon today as I need to see that 3+ now I am over 5 weeks! I've left my morning pee in a tub upstairs (gross!) for when it arrives but it's taking longer than expected so I'll probably just leave it until tomorrow now as I don't want to waste a test or get a dodgy reading, I was good any only bought one!! (The 20 extra cheapies don't count 🙊)

madeinthe80z · 17/06/2022 12:21

@Seven201 what's this finger prick test, I don't think I've ever heard of it?!

seven201 · 17/06/2022 13:22

@madeinthe80z it's this medichecks.com/products/pregnancy-blood-test
Not cheap! They also do another that also tests progesterone levels if that's something you'd like to monitor. I'm only doing it as I like to know early on if I'm going to miscarry again and I'm on so many drugs I think they'd hold off a bleed anyway. Probably a waste of money!

madeinthe80z · 17/06/2022 14:30

Ooh well I didn't know you could do that!

I just took the plunge and started my midwife referral process, need to take some deep breaths! ....

RedElleJ · 17/06/2022 14:48

Feeling a bit anxious this afternoon - had some period like cramps and the last two times I’ve had to go to the toilet I’ve passed some strange discharge with a slightly brown/grey tinge to it 😩 I am trying to convince myself it could just be left over from the implantation bleed I had a couple of days ago but it’s really hard not to stress out. Really hope this isn’t the start of the end already.

I didn’t know about those blood tests - I don’t think I could afford to do them unless I saved up specifically for them in advance but it’s really good to know what’s out there.

Well done on starting the referral process @madeinthe80z - taking deep breaths with you 💕

HarryPotterGeek84 · 17/06/2022 15:35

@RedElleJ Sorry to hear about the anxiety, it’s such an anxious time that even things that are normal can cause such worry. It may not be much help but in my first pregnancy I experienced that type is discharge a lot in the early days and some cramping. The EPU said it was completely normal and just the baby firmly bedding in - I spotted practically daily until about 11 weeks, old blood and fresh, and they just said that some women experience it their whole pregnancy.

Definitely get in touch with them, it helped me massively with my anxiety the first time around.

Sending lots of positive vibes and wishes xx

RedElleJ · 17/06/2022 16:05

Thank you so much @HarryPotterGeek84 that does really help. I hope bubba is anchored in then cause I'm too much of a stress pot to deal with it otherwise haha! It was just really odd and frustrating as it was in the toilet bowl rather than on the toilet tissue so I couldn't even really inspect what was going on. I am pretty confident it was discharge though - didn't look like tissue, or at least what I would expect tissue to look like.

I would call the EPU but, and I can't believe I am saying this, I can't find their damn number and I can't find it anywhere online.

I do know a sonographer who has said she could sneak me in after hours when I hit week 5 to check things over but I have no idea how much good that will do. I think I will wait for the early scan referral and go from there.

It sounds bad but I know this early on there is nothing that could be done so I just need to be patient and hope that it was nothing to worry about. x

seven201 · 17/06/2022 17:40

@RedElleJ and @madeinthe80z I probably shouldn't have mentioned them! Sorry. There's usually an offer code online somewhere, but they are very expensive. You can get them delivered to your local Holland and Barrett for click and collect too now I think. Prob best to avoid them if you can!

@madeinthe80z that is exciting. Well done on starting the process.

@RedElleJ I don't know your history but when I had my dd I had cramps often for the first two weeks. I also had 3 bleeds in the first trimester. It's such an anxious time.
