@HRA22 i had the IONA privately last week and was measuring 11 weeks. This was also my third scan and I’d measured a day or two further ahead each time. Anxiously awaiting the results! Our clinic emails if low risk and call you if any issues. I jump about a mile every time an email comes through at the moment!

Eeeek… everything crossed for you!!! Will you find out the gender?!

Yes we are. I didn’t want to but my DH really did.

I got my nails done earlier this week and went for a baby pink (very unlike me)…I think I’m subconsciously manifesting :-)

Congrats everyone! So pleased to hear good news stories from you all :)

im having a scan next Tuesday (11w) and a blood test ahead of NIPT/Harmony. I’m then back in on the 18th for results as I’m away through my actual 12 weeks. Is anyone else having the this test either privately or via NHS? It also allows you to find out the baby gender.

I had a scan at 6w5 and 8w too due to a bleed. Baby had actually grown really quickly and put me 2 days ahead, so wonder if the same will happen next week.

I'm having a scan and NIPT bloods next Wednesday. I'll be emailed results within 5 working days including the gender...I'm so excited to find out this time!

Sassy144 · 29/06/2022 09:14

@ElephantGrey101 mine was upside down too, had to jump around etc as baby was doing a headstand 😂 still stayed upside down but managed to get a position that she could at least take the measurements she needed

HRA22 · 29/06/2022 09:42

Exciting! My husband is desperate to know the gender & I’m not so sure. He has been so wonderful though and I wanna give him the option of deciding so he has ‘control’ over something. LOVE the nail idea 🤣

somexcited for you Sassy !! Now the excitement really begins!!

ExpectingaRainbow · 29/06/2022 09:53

@HRA22 it's a tough one as I honestly thing it's such a lovely surprise. My mum always said it's the one surprise in life that is a good thing whatever the outcome BUT it was really important for him to feel like we could plan properly.

I think in the end we made a deal that we wouldn't tell anyone the name we pick out (assuming we can agree on something before baby arrives!) and I can have whatever buggy I want...he may live to regret his decision if he ends up pushing a pink bugaboo around....

Eeejjj · 29/06/2022 09:56

I am due on 7th Jan with my first baby! My first due date was 9th Jan, but baby seems to be growing 2 days ahead

I'm so so happy, so so excited but also very scared! I'm glad I found this app where lots of you are also due around the same time! Definitely in need of some support during this time. Congrats to all of you :)

babyjellyfish · 29/06/2022 09:56

We will be finding out the sex but not telling anyone, same as last time.

In France you only get 3 days to register the birth so we need to have decided on a name in advance!

My mum is desperate to know so she can knit pink stuff if it's a girl, but she'll just have to wait like everyone else.

icedcoffeeplease · 29/06/2022 12:38

Today my hair has started falling out. I’m at 12 weeks and thought the opposite is supposed to happen around now. Has anyone ever experienced this?

fullfatsocks · 29/06/2022 14:15

Hey guys so happy to hear about the good scan news for people 😍 I feel full of worry tbh 😩 I’m a midwife and I just wish I could un-know everything. I have my booking appt tomorrow (10+4) and hopefully will get a scan date from there. Everything was fine at 8 weeks so Fingers crossed. I barely feel sick anymore which is good but still can’t really think of meals and do a full shop - might be a good time to try gusto or something. Still feel tired all the time and cba to do much 😬 We are away just in wales next week which I’m hoping helps me chill and feel better. I’ve booked a NIPT for around 13 weeks just to get a more accurate result, even if we didn’t decide to act on it I think I’d rather know in advance. We will find out the sex, I’d be happy to wait but my partner would rather have a girl so I’d rather him get a head around a boy before birth if needed 😂 also means we only have to discuss one name.

Sassy144 · 29/06/2022 14:38

@Eeejjj congratulations, our due dates are very close 😊

@fullfatsocks it's so hard not to worry isn't it. I'm the same with food, I'd probably be okay if someone decided on meals for me but the question 'what do you want for dinner' just instantly makes me feel icky

Eeejjj · 29/06/2022 15:37

@Sassy144 congratulations to you too! When is your due date?

CaffeineCamel · 29/06/2022 16:36

@fullfatsocks I'm a midwife too, and I kind of wish the same. Really struggling to get excited until I actually see a heartbeat on the 12 week scan because I know that so many things could go wrong. Even after then I know I'll be full of worry after all the later losses I've seen at work. It's so difficult isn't it!

281717O · 29/06/2022 17:23

Lovely to hear about everyone’s scans! I also had mine, baby was being a little gymnast! I was only 11,4 at the time but managed to get all the measurements so that was reassuring!
ahh I love gender talk, I’ve already been searching the nuchal theory haha (it still makes no sense to me) we have a boy, lost a little boy, I’d be honestly happy with either now!!

281717O · 29/06/2022 17:25

Not nuchal!!! Nub hahaha!

Somatronic · 29/06/2022 17:57

I have no interest in finding out the sex. I like a surprise. I don't plan on going crazy with pink or blue clothes etc so I don't think it will affect my planning for the baby much.

Same here! I thinking finding out the sex at birth adds another special moment to the process - although it is harder to find clothes that are gender neutral

babyjellyfish · 29/06/2022 18:39

Here's mine. What do you think, boy or girl?

fullfatsocks · 29/06/2022 18:47

@Sassy144 i think I will try a meal box thing when we get back, might get DP in the habit of it too for when baby’s here (I tend to do the dinners as he gets home from work later).

@CaffeineCamel I’m sorry you’re feeling worried too but it’s nice to “know” someone is in the same boat! I’ve had to swap a nightshift due to something being cancelled and rearranged so now have my booking appt after a nightshift 🙈 I’m sticking with nights as long as I can as I don’t feel days will be any better and I need the money/ the enhancements towards the mat pay calculations. I only do 24 hours thankfully could not cope full time just now.

I had my booking appt straight after a night shift as well! Luckily it was a friend of mine so she didn't mind that I was a zombie!

Eeejjj · 29/06/2022 18:55

@babyjellyfish omg, little leg! That is so sweet! Here is mine, I wonder if the fact the 'nub' on your scan vs mine is an indication of the sex

Wow your scans are both so clear!
im terrible at doing the nub, I’ve been looking at it on the internet to work it out but honestly I have no idea!

Eeejjj · 29/06/2022 19:02

@281717O me and you both! I've been researching for days how to work out the gender haha

Sassy144 · 29/06/2022 21:52

@Eeejjj I'm due 9 January 🥰
