Thanks @Moosh18

Thanks @Moosh18 .

The staff at the emergency gyn ward were wonderful, really kind and I was there just under two hours. No sign of any issues, the bleeding is being caused by a small “ectopy”, she said it was so small it was hard to see. They took bloods and are going to ring me tomorrow to either go back for a scan or another blood test depending on levels. So relieved. Still got cramps but feel reassured having been in.

@winsones I’m from Horwich, Greater Manchester but living in Limerick, Ireland (BF is from here)

Had an external scan today at the gp, but it was only an old machine apparently (doesn’t take photos). LMP indicates I’m 7+4, but the scan showed only a “tiny fetal pole” and gestational sac, no heartbeat could be detected and she didn’t mention a yolk sac. Dr said it didn’t look good, that it should be much larger for this age, but there’s still hope. I’m being referred to the EPU for an internal scan, but to be honest I don’t feel pregnant anymore even though I’ve had no cramps or bleeding, like everything has stopped. Even if fertilisation happened 1 week after we DTD it should appear larger than it does. I’ve never had a baby and miscarried a year ago at 8 weeks. Wondering if our ages aren’t helping (I’m 36 on Wednesday and DP is 41). Finding it very hard to feel positive. Will see if my hcg levels change over the next few days.

To those who had positive results today, that’s fantastic! What a relief! ❤️🥰

To Lifeafterloss, I was thinking about you after seeing your messages disappear 💖 I feel your pain, sending you so much love.

Moosh18 · 27/05/2022 17:58

@PinkTiger86 did they say how long you'd have to wait? I hope all is okay! Don't lose faith! My docs had basically written me off yet as of yesterday I measured bang on and has a heartbeat! Yet a week ago I was five days behind and hcg levels "indicated a non viable pregnancy" x

I’m from Cheshire. If anyone ends up at the emergency gyn ward at Wythenshawe they were fantastic, can’t fault them.

PinkTiger86 · 27/05/2022 18:15

@Moosh18 no dates, I have to wait for the maternity hospital to contact me. Thanks for your words of hope xx

@Moosh18 im the same as you, had a miscarriage on the 5th of April!!
I won’t announce until after 20 weeks after losing our little boy at 22 weeks. We’d told our little boy and it was heartbreaking to tell him his brother had gone so I wouldn’t want the news being accidentally passed to him!

I will tell close family & friends at 12 weeks, I’ve got a few holidays with my sisters etc this summer so they’ll want to know why I’m not drinking haha!

Moosh18 · 28/05/2022 07:07

Has anyone else been getting pulling mild cramps? It kind of feels like tugging or achey cramps, I've not had anything in weeks!!

OP posts:
brogan12 · 28/05/2022 07:09

@Moosh18 yes! It's not really like a period cramp I've been getting but if I move too quickly I get a sharp stabbing pain in my side, sort of like round ligament pain! I thought it was super early to be feeling it this early but when I had my scan yesterday I asked the dr and she said it's completely normal!

Moosh18 · 28/05/2022 07:15

@brogan12 I 💯 had round ligament pain when moving at this point In my last pregnancy I don't have it now but did a few weeks ago!

This is deffo more like a strange crampy pain. It makes me so nervous x

Hi I hope it’s ok to join this group. I’m From Belfast Northern Ireland. Went for an early scan last week and I will be 7weeks this Monday coming

JLH2022 · 28/05/2022 07:30

👋🏻 first pregnancy here, been TTC 18 months, no problems (in theory) from me or DH, conceived first cycle after hycosy. Bit older, I’m 38 and he is 48 so feel on edge constantly!
Had early scan yesterday after some spotting, was told too early to see much, yolk sac not formed yet but they were happy with where I was at an no signs of ectopic.
Now I’ve got some bright red spotting and trying not to panic! No pain and it’s not heavy so trying hard to stay calm.

PurpleSpottedLeopard · 28/05/2022 07:43

Thanks for the new thread @Moosh18

I’m keeping my fingers crossed for good news for everyone waiting for results or scans. Thinking of you all.

I had my first midwife appointment yesterday and it all feels very real now!

Yes that sounds good! How many weeks are you? Have you done the self referral to the midwife yet?
