Thank you @CurryandSnuggle !! Mine was clear and snot like so wasn't even sure if that was it but apparently it is! How far along are you now btw? I'm 38 weeks today! Hope things start happening asap for both of us! X

PlodandPod · 01/06/2022 11:35

@CurryandSnuggle @MrsTwentyNine I've had mine over the last few days but nothing else since which is disappointing! I'm 38+5 today. Hopeful something will happen sometime soon 😂😬

So much happening! Good luck everyone with a date in the next few days. @curryandsnuggle, I hope things get going for you too.

I'm off work now, just nipping into town for a goodbye work lunch. Then the baby prep can begin in earnest! Hoping to get a call with our csection date today.

Anyone finding themselves more nervous as the date approaches? I hope this baby keeps wriggling like he has been otherwise I'm going to be a bag of nerves.

CurryandSnuggle · 01/06/2022 12:11

@MrsTwentyNine Sounds like mucous plug to me 🙂 Good luck! I’m 39+5

Thanks for the well wishes/luck everybody 🙂

@RoseValleyRambles aww enjoy your goodbye work lunch, sounds lovely 🥰

I have been finding myself nervous too, it’s affecting my sleep as I’m so excited but also keep getting butterflies.

I have just consumed 2 pork pies, a BLT sandwich and 2 sugared doughnuts! I would never eat that normally.

I think the waiting game at the end is the worst bit 😂 are you having a natural birth or induction? Hope all goes well for you!

Octoblockisadick · 01/06/2022 13:25

@sunflower198 I'll put some paracetamol and ibuprofen in my hospital bag then!

@Vimto1991 sorry about your aunt. Maybe go out for a meal this evening?

@CurryandSnuggle can't believe you have the energy to hike! I struggled taking the bins to the end of the drive last night haha

Roxystar23 · 01/06/2022 14:07

Had a growth scan today and ended up passing out - they said it was because I had ended up lying on my back (and placenta) too long and my oxygen supply got cut off. I had a trainee sonographer so things took a little longer plus they were struggling to get measurements. It was so strange - I came around and my whole body was clammy. I then had to see the consultant who told me that my baby has hardly grown in the last 2 weeks and therefore they want to induce me tomorrow. I’m 39 weeks tomorrow, I finish work today and I’m terrified because I’ve never had an overnight stay in hospital before (they have said I could be in up to 5 days before giving birth as a FTM being induced). I’ll be relieved once I have the baby’s monitoring pads on me as I breathe a sigh of relief with each kick or wiggle I feel that baby is still okay. I’m in shock as I thought I might get at least one day after finishing work to do things - I’d planned a girly day with my mum tomorrow but I’ve got to be at the hospital at 7.30am. Nervous and scared.

Whatcanmyusernamebe · 01/06/2022 14:15

Oh gosh @Roxystar23 that sounds like a scary experience. I’m not surprised you are feeling scared and nervous, it must all be a bit of a shock for you. Fingers crossed your induction doesn’t take long and it won’t be long before you have your beautiful baby safe in your arms.

EarlGreywithLemon · 01/06/2022 14:15

@Roxystar23 you poor thing! I came close to fainting at the 20 week scan in the last pregnancy, and at two scans in this pregnancy. It is definitely the lying on your back - at least I was told the same. It’s a horrible feeling, isn’t it?

So sorry about the really short notice for tomorrow. My hospital lets you go home between the pessaries, would yours let you do that? Although, like you, I would have preferred to be kept in and monitored!

MrsNT · 01/06/2022 14:25

@PlodandPod thanks ..have sent a request to join

MrsNT · 01/06/2022 14:26

For those that had a sweep..when do they do it? My midwife hasnt mentioned it at all. Is it done on nhs??

RoseValleyRambles · 01/06/2022 14:28

@roxystar23 I don't blame you! I can manage 2-3 mins at my growth scans and then I have to ask to turn in my side: which I only do because one sonographer told me it was ok. Don't know why they don't check in during the scan more often to avoid such incidents!

I have just been to m&s and bought giant pants for hospital. Going to be so glam...

Prema112 · 01/06/2022 14:37

@Roxystar23 🙁 So sorry to hear that, both the fainting and the lack of growth. I'm glad they are doing the induction tmw and 39 weeks is a great stage to get to- baby will be completely ready. At my last scan the sonographer was showing me the babies kidneys and stomach etc and I was feeling really uncomfortable so had to say that's fine I've seen enough! So funny as at the earlier scans I couldn't get enough of seeing baby on the screen

Will be thinking of you tmw! X

Turniptracker · 01/06/2022 17:02

@MrsNT my midwife said today that a sweep would be offered at my 40 week midwife appointment. But obviously trusts may operate differently x

MrsNT · 01/06/2022 17:04

@Turniptracker is it done to induce labour?

MrsNT · 01/06/2022 17:08

Also my hands are trembling today..like slightly.. anyone get that? Apparently its common before lead up to labour as per Dr google

Flowerbug1994 · 01/06/2022 17:34

Booked in for c section tomorrow got to be at hospital for 7:30 I am on the Morning list. Any words of advice starting to shit a brick. Still panicking over movements even after being in for routine CTG this morning. Anyone else find when they get really anxious movements slow down. Going to go for my high carb Italian as they suggested and hope he picks up whilst am out xx

DaimDillyDoo · 01/06/2022 18:07

Had a successful sweep this morning, midwife had a good rummage round and she said my cervix is ready and she couldn't feel babies head! I've had a bit of a bloody show again.

I do have cramps but had them on and off since the other night. Hoping it starts properly soon.

Clomid1 · 01/06/2022 18:22

Baby girl born on 31/05/22 at 7.12pm. Will be back to update. Absolutely shattered

RoseValleyRambles · 01/06/2022 18:23

Yey @clomid1! Well done! Looking forward to hearing all about it.
