I’ve had bloody show after what I was told was a largely unsuccessful sweep (she only got her finger partially in). No other signs of labour yet. But I’ve not lost hope ❤️

pregnancydiaries · 01/06/2022 04:42

Congrats @sunflower198 so glad everything went well. Hope you are recovering well. Enjoy these early days ♥️

Yaaaaay @CurryandSnuggle I'm holding out hope that this is the start for you 🤞🏼 keep us updated xx

fpeg · 01/06/2022 05:57

@sunflower198 huge congratulations, so glad it was a positive experience for you!

Fingers firmly crossed for you @CurryandSnuggle hope it progresses on for you now and runs smoothly x

Octoblockisadick · 01/06/2022 05:59

@sunflower198 congratulations, just seen the pictures on fb, he's beautiful. How are you feeling post section this time?

Ooh @CurryandSnuggle fingers crossed!!!

CurryandSnuggle · 01/06/2022 06:59

Thank you 🙂 No labour yet, but at least my cervix is doing something. Makes me feel more positive that it could still happen in the next few days, or that my next sweep on Saturday might be more effective.

sunflower198 · 01/06/2022 07:18

@Octoblockisadick I felt really good after the section, movement came back quicker than last time around...I had catheter removed in the early hours of Tuesday morning and was moving around well and felt really positive.

Only downside was that the hospital were really poor at giving out drugs on time (I had to keep reminding them every hour that nobody had come back to give me the promised pain relief - everybody in there was saying the same thing so maybe short staffed) so I went for nearly 10hours yday without anything since 3am and tbh that made the pain pretty intense so I was really happy to be discharged so at least I can give myself pain relief reliably every couple of hours going forward!

@PlodandPod says page isn't available 😌 wonder why, it hasn't been two days yet

InvisibleDragon · 01/06/2022 07:54

Congratulations @sunflower198 - really glad everything went well and you are both home safe now.

Keeping everything crossed for you @CurryandSnuggle !

Vimto1991 · 01/06/2022 07:59

@beansprout55 haha I had no other way to describe it but it’s a relief others have the same feeling, too, so just pregnancy related!!

@sunflower198 yay!! Massive congrats! So glad to hear all was relaxed and went well and you are already home with your little one!! 🤩

I woke up with bad cramps today - today is the one day I don’t want to give birth (my aunt died three years ago today), so today is the only day I’ll tell baby to stay in!! 😅hopefully it’s just my stomach/bowels, I have been waking up with cramps each morning so we shall see. Only one day until induction!! We were going to have this one day just for us, but then my parents wanted to see me before I am induced and we were booked for one final ctg this afternoon so not as relaxed as planned. 🙈

Vimto1991 · 01/06/2022 08:04

@CurryandSnuggle
congrats on the show!! Hopefully means something will start in the next 48 hours!! Even if it was partial it should hopefully be enough. Mine was completely closed (still enough to make the baby go manic the next day) so seemingly had no affect as it was 5 days ago and I don’t think I’ve ever had a show!

@Prema112 my baby was the same last night haha, but I was blaming myself for drinking fanta fruit twist before bed. 🙈 or maybe it was baby rave night!!

I find it ironic that the week I have daily ctg monitoring baby has been fine on movements. 🤦‍♀️

Prema112 · 01/06/2022 08:08

@CurryandSnuggle That's exciting!! I went into labour a few hours after my show last time!!

I think I've decided to try a sweep at my midwife appointment tmw. I'm due today (can't believe I actually made it to 40 weeks!!) and I think I'd accept an induction at 41 weeks, so would be good to try get things going before then

@Vimto1991 Looking back I did eat an entire bar of dark chocolate just before bed so that may have had something to do with it! 🙈

@sunflower198 Congratulations!!! So happy for you!!

Prema112 · 01/06/2022 08:10

@Vimto1991 How long do your CTG generally take from leaving home to getting back? Mine take about 4 hours, such a big chuck of the day!! I'm gonna make my DH come tmw as it's pretty boring alone

laurenGame · 01/06/2022 08:11

@Northofthebordermum thank you for the wonder weeks app recommendation, downloaded it and looks great.

Ahhh @PleaseSendNoodles congratulations 🎉 you are one of the first people I remember from the June thread 🥰 what a whirlwind of a birth!!

@fpeg I just love reading your updates. I usually catch up on the thread when it's 4am and I can't sleep because of hip pain and I have to be up for work in 4 hours. Reading your posts full of love for your little one makes my pain go away :) I cannot wait to hold my baby, it will be all worth it 💙

@EarlGreywithLemon I had scary palpitations OB didn't really pay attention to me complaining about it. In the end I used my DP's Apple Watch for a few days and from it there is a ECG app when you get high heart rate I would record by heart rate for 30 seconds.... I was reaching 207 beats per minute 😳 finally OB paid attention, and prescribed be iron infusion as low iron can cause palpitations. After iron infusion my heart rate normalised. X

brookln · 01/06/2022 08:16

@sunflower198 oh my , congratulations how did I miss your post!!!

@Prema112 it’s 45 minutes each way and depends how busy they are in FAU. On Sunday my appointment was at 2pm, we left at 1pm and was home by around 3:15pm as we were the only ones there and got seen before my 2pm slot! But Monday.. was bloody awful. My appointment was 3pm, wasn’t seen until about 4:30, was half hour on Ctg as baby had a nap! So that trip I was out from 2-6pm. 😭 atleast it’s reassurance for us but damn it takes up most your day!

Prema112 · 01/06/2022 08:59

@Vimto1991 I think they quite often forget women hooked up the Ctg at my hospital, minimum for me is 30 mins and last time it was an hour and 20... they said he only just passed then but I looked at the print out and he'd passed at 20 mins 🤦‍♀️

Vimto1991 · 01/06/2022 09:20

@Prema112 do yours have the little icon that turns green once passed? If so, I’d ask for the monitor to face you so could call them over once passed. An hour and 20 is mental! Longest I’ve been on I think is 30/40 minutes due to baby taking a snooze just as I got hooked up. I’d definitley be calling them over after that to find out why I’m still on it. :(

Prema112 · 01/06/2022 09:22

@Vimto1991 No I had a look there's nothing to tell me when he passes so just have to wait for them! I thought an hour was the limit so 1 hour 20 is ridiculous!

Littlemilomoo · 01/06/2022 09:27

Can’t believe it’s June and can say I’m having a baby this month!!

congrats to all those who have had babies so far 🥺!!

I’ll be 39 weeks on Friday and doing everything I can to get baby out now. Long walks, bouncing on the ball, curb walking (look like a right wally doing this around our estate 😂), yoga.. and no cramps or anything. Just the usual fanny daggers and pressure.

I know baby will come when they are ready but seeing everyone’s posts just makes me want them earthside asap !

I have ELCS booked in for 41+3 weeks as I have flat out refused induction, even if I go over due so I have 2 and half weeks to get this baby out else it’ll be sun roof delivery - which I’m more than happy with.. just don’t want to wait that long 🙈

EarlGreywithLemon · 01/06/2022 09:48

@laurenGame glad your heart rate is sorted! This was the case in my first pregnancy, but this time I took iron all the way through and my iron levels are OK. I had a blood test for that 10 days ago. So I think it’s just one of those late pregnancy joys!
Yes, the Wonder Weeks app works very well for some, but a word of warning: don’t get stressed out if it doesn’t “match” for your baby. If never did for our daughter, and I spent far too long originally trying to figure out why!

Katiebaby13 · 01/06/2022 10:40

@beansprout55 I loved the hip massage. He only actually did one side as we stayed up late watching stranger things and I was so sleepy, I love being massaged/tickled, find it so relaxing. I'm going to be asking for a massage every night 😂
I actually had a much better sleep, woke up early still but did a very mini work out and felt great but now I am starting to crash.

Happy June everyone, we made it!!!!

MrsTwentyNine · 01/06/2022 11:04

Think I had the show this morning! Anyone else had the show and waiting around ?! Oh come on baby...show up before induction 🤞🏽

CurryandSnuggle · 01/06/2022 11:18

@MrsTwentyNine Still waiting after mine at 2am this morning lol. I’m currently on a long clifftop hike, hoping that brings on labour 😂

CurryandSnuggle · 01/06/2022 11:18

Good luck @MrsTwentyNine !! ❤️❤️
