@laurenGame Glad you got checked!

I'm just one big braxton hick these days, honestly have them almost constantly. Not painful just uncomfy. Hope it's strengthening my uterus for what my DH has lovingly named 'The Big Drop' 🙄

More monitoring today, just precautionary. Tempted to ask midwife to check my cervix too...

MrsTwentyNine · 26/05/2022 10:47

@laurenGame happy you got checked and know there's nothing to worry! Didn't know thrush could do that. I haven't been to get checked as it hasn't "trickled" since but just notice white, watery discharge in my underwear. Waters breaking should be clear / yellow I think? So I'm trying to ignore it for now!
12 days till induction ...I need this baby to hopefully make an appearance before then! 🤞🏽

unknownscot · 26/05/2022 11:44

My GTT is negative 👏🏽
Now waiting for growth scan and discussion with consultant to get booked in for induction x

EarlGreywithLemon · 26/05/2022 11:52

I had my consultant appointment on Tuesday and he immediately suggested moving my C section from 39+5 to 39 weeks: “With your history, we do not want you going into labour”. He asked the registrar in the clinic to go straight upstairs and have the date changed.

All good, except… I called the elective booking lady to chase today, and no one has spoken to her, and my notes haven’t been updated since 18 May. She will email the consultant for confirmation, and will try to rebook me, although all slots earlier in the week are now booked up. Not ideal for trying to sort out nursery for our daughter- she only goes three days a week, so if it’s a Monday or Friday we’ll have to try to get her an extra session. We do need a little bit of notice for that!!

unknownscot · 26/05/2022 12:06

@EarlGreywithLemon
Forgive me - what do they mean "with your history"

X

EarlGreywithLemon · 26/05/2022 12:13

@unknownscot my first birth was a bit of a car crash - failed ventouse, 3b tear, episiotomy, forceps, 2.3l haemorrhage, and then my bladder stopped working (some nerve damage it seems)! Luckily I’ve recovered relatively well (with some issues) but it took many months.

A friend of mine had similar injuries and had a C section booked for 40+1 for the second. She went into labour at 40 weeks exactly, and let’s just say it didn’t go well again. From my talk with the perineal midwife, I understand a repeat third degree tear doesn’t have a good prognosis for continence. So while I know for most people the second birth is better, I’d rather not chance it. Sorry, I hope I haven’t frightened anyone - most people do not have the experience that I (and she) did!

unknownscot · 26/05/2022 12:37

@EarlGreywithLemon
Ah totally understand why you don't want to go into labour yourself.
Surely they will sort that quickly and get you booked in for the earlier date - fingers crossed x

laurenGame · 26/05/2022 12:42

@Vimto1991 they didn't rest for thrush or anything, just said 'it sounds like it' and told me to use canesten cream Confused

Yes our babies sleep during the day as the get rocked to sleep by us walking around.
Mine has no movement pattern 🤷‍♀️ or maybe I'm trying not to pay too much attention to it as it's another thing to worry about. Whoever said last month of pregnancy is the longest , were bang on the money

EarlGreywithLemon · 26/05/2022 12:43

@unknownscot thank you so much! The hospital have been really good so far, apart from this, so hoping they sort it.

Great news on the GTT by the way. Must be a relief not to worry about that on top of everything else!

destiEos · 26/05/2022 13:35

My little boy was born yesterday at 9:29am. He's the softest thing in the world 😊💕

Sorry for AWOL, we're all fine but knackered. I'll catch you up on details as soon as things settle a wee bit, we're staying in for another day at least.

Hope everyone's well and it's all worth it, obviously 🥰
