@Prema112 i am sooooo clumsy 😅 I keep hitting my arm off the same door handle as I keep wobbling into it. It’s going to start looking like DH grabs my arm and I’m a bit worried they’ll think it’s abuse when it’s just me being clumsy!! 🙈🙈

@beansprout55 I’m not sure how you are managing, kudos to you!! I went on a three hour walk yesterday and it completely finished me off, let alone ten hours. Are you able to reduce your shifts or finish earlier? And tell DH he can go alone until you feel able to go to bible study in the evenings. Although, if he went, would you be okay in the evenings by yourself?

I have such a stinking cold at the moment. Nose is stuffy, throat is itchy and making me cough. Little bit worried I’m losing my sense of taste so will take an LFT and cross fingers it’s negative incase I go into labour anytime soon! If it’s negative, does anyone know if we can have any type of cough/throat syrup? I’m having vaporub and that’s it so far. :(

@beansprout55 You need to get your feet up and relax. Tell DH if he wants to go himself then fine and you can relax at home. Before you know it there will be a baby here and you won’t have much time for relaxing. Enjoy what you can of the “you” time whilst you can. I don’t think some men get it.

i’m booked in for a massage this weekend. Had the voucher for so long. Excited to use it. DP one handed hip rubs are just not cutting it for me anymore lol

I've been having diarrhoea like cramps all morning but no diarrhoea... anyone know if this is a sign? I'm almost 39 weeks with my first baby so have no idea how it starts 🤣

This is probably a TMI post. Has anyone had painful movements in there bum. ? For the past hour when baby moves I can feel him high up but getting a pressured pain in my bum. 36+6 with breech baby. Also feeling abit nauseous today haven’t had nausea at all throughout my pregnancy

It could be @DaimDillyDoo - lots of peoples start differently. Mine started in the night with DS, I woke to the sharpest lightning crotch ever, went to the toilet to find bloody show, and then I went back to bed, woke to another sharp lightning crotch an hour or so later and then started getting contractions. I didn’t get diarrhoea or sickness that some people get, but it is a sign in lots of people.

I’ve had loose stools though for 2 weeks and nothing yet. Started getting increased braxton hicks, literally every 10 minutes last night.. thought I might go into real labour in the night but nothing. Feel like my body is teasing me 😂

Can anyone who has been through labour before explain what contractions feel like?

I know it's probably not easy to describe, I just have zero idea about what to expect

@CurryandSnuggle - I had really sharp lightening crotch pains last night a few times too - I can handle most other types of pain but these made me wince a bit and suck in air because it wasn’t like anything I’d experienced before (& I thought I had already experienced lightening crotch earlier on in the pregnancy).

Baby has been having a right wiggle all morning today - their bum keeps making my belly move. Think they’re having a little upside down dance party or something. Or they’re trying to find the exit door!? 😁

@unknownscot Best way I can describe them is very intense period pains really. They come and go like period pains do and start ok then get more intense then tail off and you get a little break before the next one

To join the band wagon for contractions - can braxton cause actual pain? I had tightening in my abdomen which I was told was BH and no pain at all, the past two days I’ve had period like cramps on and off. Was told it’s normal at this stage but I’m being optimistic it means somethings about to happen! 😅 although, of course it would happen whilst I am bunged up with a cold and sleep deprived. 😳

@Roxystar23 mine was also having a little party from about 9:30 until about 10:50 today. Little bum shuffles here and there. 😂 I could feel their head in my pelvis and all I was thinking was please descend please descend. 😂

@Vimto1991 my BH started to get more period pain crampy a few weeks back, totally painless before then, sorry 😬

I've just had my 38 week midwife app. They still aren't happy to sign me off for a homebirth, so now I've got a consultant midwife calling me to go through everything. So waiting to see what she says 🙄. I've pretty much decided if they really don't want me to have a home birth, I know I can choose whatever I want regardless, but I'll opt for a c section and get them to book me in. Thankfully she's calling me at 1 today so I'll know what's what then! Just so fed up with issue after issue just because of the size of the baby!

Yeah my midwife said that braxton hicks means nothing 😩there I was getting excited lol. Oh well!!

Just had 38 week midwife appointment and booked in for membrane sweep on 31st May. Feeling so real now!!

@DaimDillyDoo this is how my premature labour started, very much intestinal cramping that then progressed. Fingers crossed for you 🤞

@unknownscot for me I got pain in my lower back and could feel the contractions low down to start with, gradually felt them moving up my abdomen. Each one started with almost a feeling of needing a poo, then spread more around my pelvis into my lower back between my sacroiliac joints. I remember reading it's a very individual thing though so don't know if this will help you, but is my experience x

@unknownscot my last birth I had sore pains in my back. Bottom of my back. I was so confused because I thought contractions were predominantly around the tummy and downstairs regions so I was very confused by this pain. I’ve never really had period pain so I can’t even tell you if it was like sever period pain on not.

my little miss has been a bit sluggish this morning but had a lot of movement last night. She is moving so I’m not overly concerned. They wanted me in for a sweep in 2 weeks time where I’ll be 39 weeks but I’ve said no. Just going to see if nature takes it’s course and she comes when ready

@Vimto1991 only like the honey and lemon stuff I think. It does help a bit though I found when I had the cold. My BH have been painful on occasion but no labour yet so assuming just BH haha.

@Flowerbug1994 I've been getting that! Lots of pressure and uncomfortableness in my groin and bum, not breech here though.

@Roxystar23 I had a wiggly bum sticking out a lot last night too, more obviously visible than it has been for a while.

I'm quite uncomfortable today, feel on and off faint and nauseous and just uncomfortable but can't really explain why. No specific pains as such, just ugh haha.

Also, really strange question sorry but I'm quite interested haha.

Has anyone else checked their own cervix? I got quite used to doing it when ttc so thought I would have a feel. My cervix is very far back so I can't feel it, but sort of in front of my cervix as such it's rock hard. I know baby is engaged, so could it potentially be their head I can feel?

Haven't been on in a while but popped in to see everyone is feeling the same as me! I really thought baby might be coming last night - felt so fatigued, really nauseous, headache and had horrible cramps and lightning stabs - I thought I'd had lightning crotch before but this really felt like it was shooting down my cervix. Still feel nauseous today and (sorry TMI) but have emptied my bowels 3 (!!!!) times today already - where is it even coming from?
Unfortunately no mucus plug loss or anything so maybe this is just a particularly crap aspect of third trimester but part of me feels like she could be here by the end of the weekend 🤞🏻

@Flowerbug1994 @Octoblockisadick just came on to comment on the pressure I've been getting in my bum, to the point that I feel I genuinely need to push something out (sorry TMI). It's such a weird feeling and I'm not constipated. But mine isn't sore just uncomfortable

Ladies who have had babies before, any thoughts?xx

@Octoblockisadick @pregnancydiaries yes mine isn’t sore either just full on pressure where I feel I need the toilet get to the toilet and there is nothing. Am not constipated either. Maybe it’s just one of them things when they are getting bigger I had growth scan yesterday that put him at 7lb 8 so he may be pushing down. Am seeing a consultant tomorrow to book section so will ask him

7lb 8 is such a good weight, what gestation? My next growth scan isn't until next week. Let us know what consultant says, but I guess it's good to know we are all in the same boat.

Ladies it sounds like we are ALL feeling it today in some way or another, and I'm only 35 weeks 😂 xx

@pregnancydiaries that was yesterday at 36 + 5 meeting consultant in breech clinic tomorrow at 37 to book my section which will hopefully be by the 1st of June as it needs doing by 3rd June at 39 weeks but 2nd and 3rd are bank holidays. Will keep use updated am sure I’ll be shouting it from the roof tops if I get a date tomorrow 😂😂

@Flowerbug1994 totally feel you with the bank holidays affecting sections, ours is due the week after but there's no space atm because of all the delays from the bank holiday!!!!! Good luck tomorrow!xx
