I’m going to catch up on everyone’s posts from the weekend in a moment, but figured I should start a new thread asap as we were just about at thread 5’s max already!

Hi, I'm due September 4th!

YouBoggleMyMind · 18/04/2022 12:07

🥳

TotoAnnihiliation · 18/04/2022 12:23

Thank you for being so organised and sketching the new thread out @IzzyLeigh

TotoAnnihiliation · 18/04/2022 12:23

Sketching = sorting. Damn covid brain!

IzzyLeigh · 18/04/2022 12:34

@nearly8 oh wow that’s really interesting that the placenta can move; I had never thought that was a possibility. Your explanation (the uterus stretching and therefore s though. I’m hoping mine shifts out of the way a bit. I’ve been craving feeling movement.
I THINK maybe I felt two tiny kicks last night? I was lying down after dinner and I felt two distinct tiny taps from the same spot about 3 min apart while my hand was on my lower belly. But, then again, I did have brussels sprouts so it’s possible it was gas-related haha although I’ve never felt gas that felt like that! So who knows.
I felt what I thought could have been movements on Wednesday, but those felt much different than what I felt last night. On Wednesday it felt more like the eel/fish feeling you guys have described, whereas last night literally just felt like itsy bitsy taps

@HaresHoping here’s the new thread Smile

@SoOverThisCrap congrats!!! Flowers Cake Glitterball

Welcome @Easymeasy!

@TotoAnnihiliation no problem! I hope I’m not hogging the creating-a-new-thread job if anyone else wanted to do it! I just keep popping on and seeing that we’re at the end of one just in the nick of time
By the way, how are you feeling? Even the tiniest better yet?

IzzyLeigh · 18/04/2022 12:35

@nearly8 ah, my message got weird. Here's what I meant to say in that gibberish sentence:
"your explanation (the uterus stretching and therefore shifting the placenta’s relative placement) makes perfect sense."

OP posts:
HaresHoping · 18/04/2022 12:40

Thanks @IzzyLeigh - I had no idea how to do it with the link etc so much appreciated! Smile

Sounds like you could definitely be feeling movement! Sometimes I've had the eel thing, but much more regularly had taps or butterflies so far. I think it feels differently depending on what baby is doing ❤️

HaresHoping · 18/04/2022 12:44

Also - I didn't ring the hospital in the end about movement as I had a long think and realised with everything that has happened with this pregnancy and the previous two, I have lost all trust in my body. So I want to work on that a bit more, just a personal thing, rather than rushing in just yet. Pretty much immediately after I made that decision I felt baby move. I feel like I need to trust myself and my gut rather than the anxiety, if that makes sense? Obviously once I can detect a pattern if there are any changes at that point I will go in as I can track things then. But I do so appreciate everyone's support, you really helped me get through a tough time a few days ago ☺️

Also... baby has kicked loads today so feeling more reassured again!

TotoAnnihiliation · 18/04/2022 12:44

@IzzyLeigh I'm grateful that you are organised enough to create the new threads, I'd miss all the ladies here if we didn't have somewhere to chat.

I feel a bit better but a far from being well. My brain is currently made of cotton wool and my body is made of lead and I feel like I am swimming through treacle. I wish I could shift the covid headache. Poor DD is poorly but bored senseless. And DH is covid positive too, of course his illness is naturally a million times worse than mine 🙄

IzzyLeigh · 18/04/2022 12:50

@HaresHoping eeee! I hope you’re right that it’s movement! I feel like I can’t get anything done. I just want to sit here with my hand on my belly in case I miss anything haha
And I’m so happy you felt baby move again!

Ah @Carebear99 I missed your last post in the other thread! We both have our 20-week scan on the same day! I don’t blame you for scheduling a scan today though. I’ve been getting really anxious too. Good luck today!

@TotoAnnihiliation You may still feel awful, but at least you know you’re able to bust out some really fun descriptions!
“My brain is currently made of cotton wool and my body is made of lead and I feel like I am swimming through treacle” I love this!

No movements still at 19+3 and definitely a posterior placenta but baby , OK as just had a private scan. I was so anxious. Oh and NIPT definitely right, it's a girl. They even gave me a print out showing her girl bits!

Hey everyone 👋🏻 itching to get to my scan on Wednesday

TotoAnnihiliation · 18/04/2022 13:46

Lovely pictures @Carebear99 💕

nearly8 · 18/04/2022 14:45

@SoOverThisCrap CONGRATULATIONS!! Excellent news that all is well. We're having a boy too ooohhhhh yay I'm really happy for you. Oh and no neither did I until I had my 3rd. Had a waterfall waters breaking moment at home around 09:30. With my previous ones baby had come about an hour after my waters went so I went into full panic mode and rushed to the hospital only for them to tell me it was my 'back waters' and I had ages yet and I hadn't started dialating! She was eventually born at 22:23!! With all of my other births my waters have broken in active labour so I'm assuming both sacs burst/are burst at the same time. It really shocked me though as there was literally a bath full of water - having said that my bump was sooooo big even the midwife thought I was hiding a twin in there. That was also the first pregnancy I got stretch marks lol she was only 8lb 3oz.

@Carebear99 Also CONGRATULATIONS!! So very happy for you and your little girl too and nice to know everything is progressing as it should. I also have my 20wk scan on 27/04 - seems a popular day on here for us ladies!! @carebear99 @IzzyLeigh

@TotoAnnihiliation I'm sorry to hear you're still suffering. And of course having to suffer DH and his 'mine is worse than yours' Why on earth do men always take this stance. At least we get constant confirmation as to why it is us ladies who grow and carry the children!!

@HaresHoping How wonderful that you have made the postive step towards trusting your body more. Trauma of any kind can play havoc with our instincts and intuition but your active choice to trust yours more is amazing and I wish you all the luck in the world. As I have said before, it is a little early to be worried about not feeling movements as baby is still so small and you're perfectly right about once a pattern is established being aware of any changes.

@IzzyLeigh I'm going with it being movements too - and don't worry too much about the placenta moving - even if it stays put you'll be feeling those movements soon don't you worry. It really is a waiting game I know to feel those regular movements but when they're keeping you up at night and making your belly shift into all kinds or weird and wonderful shapes you'll feel as though they've always been there lol

@stimpyyouidiot ooooh can't wait for the update - Wednesday's not too far now!!

Oh and another question ladies - if you've already had children what did they weigh and were they on time, late or early?

Mine:
DD1 1 day late 7lb 11oz
DS1 5 days late 8lb 0oz
DD2 2 days early 8lb 3oz
DD3 6 days late 8lb 4oz
DD4 1 day late 8lb 14oz
DD5 10 days early 7lb 10oz
DD6 1 day early 7lb 5oz
Kinda relieved the weights started coming back down after DD4 lol

TotoAnnihiliation · 18/04/2022 14:49

@nearly8 DH is really annoying me. I've sent him out into the garden to mind DD, the fresh air will be good for them.

DD arrived at 35w+1 and was 6lb 4oz. Can you imagine how big she would have been if she stayed put until her due date? Again something to blame DH for, he is a very tall man!

SoOverThisCrap · 18/04/2022 14:55

Thank you all for your lovely messages, I'm feeling much more relieved but I now have a splitting headache. I was very impressed with the place I got the scan done, Window to Womb. My DH and DD were there throughout the scan and I think it was magical, if not slightly weird for DD. I don't think she was too impressed that she won't be having a sister 😂🤣 she did shout out that the baby is a boy because it has a winkie 😂

SoOverThisCrap · 18/04/2022 14:56

@Carebear99 I'm so pleased your scan went well, lovely photos too 😊

SoOverThisCrap · 18/04/2022 14:58

The baby is currently in a transverse position and I've got an anterior placenta. I guess that's why the flutters I feel come and go. Everything appears to be looking good though, now it's just the wait to the 20 week scan on 6th May!

Peauela · 18/04/2022 15:12

Just checking into the new thread 😍

nearly8 · 18/04/2022 15:32

@SoOverThisCrap

I was in hospital for 4 days due to blood pressure issues. No issues at all during the pregnancy so it was quite annoying having to stay in. I was stitched up and my DD will be 6 in November

sorry forgot to answer this - I was stapled - that was an experience!! And I stayed in for about 19 hours - would've been about 10 if I'd had my way but they were being funny with me. Because nothing was wrong with baby I was pleading to just be allowed home but they took sooooooooo long with the paperwork. I hate hospitals.

@TotoAnnihiliation best place for him if you ask me. Do you think it will be another early delivery this time? If it is hopefully he/she won't be so big!

stimpyyouidiot · 18/04/2022 15:32

Dd was 42 weeks - 8lb 3oz

@SoOverThisCrap yay!!! A boy! How exciting.

TotoAnnihiliation · 18/04/2022 15:38

@nearly8 I have a feeling that this one will be early too. If she comes at the same gestation as her big sister it means I'm already half way through this pregnancy!
