Thanks everyone for your congratulations, it's good to be here with familiar screenames. Realised I was pregnant when I was on holiday with friends, good bout of nausea on the 4 hour drive home!

Hi all, I’m here xx
So frustrated I just had a call from EPU cancelling my scan on Wednesday 😳 told me I’d already and a scan at 6 weeks and there’s nothing they can do. I just don’t understand xx

Just joining the new thread! 12 weeks today can't believe we have made it this far roll on Thursday for my 12 week scan!!

@aesgriff so sorry there messing you around 😣 just don't understand why they give scans and then pull them away it's totally out of order. There meant to help us and reassure us. Shouldnt matter how many scans u have 😡 xx

@Skl2021 @arianasky I honestly feel so targeted by one member of staff there. They’ve said as they’ve confirmed it’s not ectopic there’s no requirement to offer any more scans. I just don’t understand how the GP can book it in with one member of staff, then the other comes in looks at the diary then feels that she can take it away from me. This is the 3rd run in I’ve had with her now and she’s constantly berating me for getting upset or requesting support. Told me she doesn’t recommend private scans either? God I just feel so shit xx

@aesgriff definitely report her seems like she targets you. If the others can ok a scan for you she shouldn't be able to come and then cancel it. I would take it further xx

I am new to this thread but wondering if I can join? I am finding pregnancy after loss much more difficult than I thought so wanted to be around like minded people!

Currently 11+5 and got my 12 week scan this week which is giving me major anxiety

@aesgriff I would make a complaint about her if I were you, she sounds horrible and if she's working in EPU she should be caring not cold and rude! 😡🤬

Hi everyone hope you're all ok. I'm feeling sick and tired and generally grumpy!

@arianasky @Skl2021 I’ve sent a complaint to PALS. I hate complaining but I’m so hurt by her actions. Fancy cancelling an appointment that I was clearly entitled to have because she recognised my name. My OH feels that she’s trying to make a stand as she didn’t feel I should have had one at 6 weeks xx

@aesgriff no absolutely your doing the right thing! She is out of order and needs telling. She shouldn't be making you feel that way. Terrible behaviour for someone working in epu with women going through terrible times. Hope they do something about her! 🤞 Don't let her get to you your stronger than that 💓 xx

@aesgriff sorry but wtf! I can’t understand why someone would be so cruel, the process stated on the NHS website is literally to contact your midwife / epu if you have bleeding. You’d think she’s paying for the ultrasound time on your behalf the way she is acting & as if she’s telling you not to get a private scan, your not left with much option when your epu are so useless. What are you expected to do for some reassurance in her opinion!? Good on you for making a complaint, sounds like someone is in the wrong job! Hope you hadn’t got round to cancelling your scan for tomorrow yet & can still go along 🥺 As you can probably tell I’m furious on your behalf, things are hard enough to deal with without a busy body member of staff to contend with on top! Big hugs & praying your spotting stops xxx

@aesgriff I had spotting during week 6 and am now taking progesterone as a result. Has the GP prescribed you this? It's new guidelines

@barneymcgroo my first trimester symptoms are just starting to kick in, I'm very envious you're at the other end now! Forgot how tired I get, 6pm and I could just go to bed 😴

@Tofu35 Oh I remember... Was oddly very very much more tired with my first two pregnancies. Could fall asleep at the drop of a hat, any time of day. Afternoons, playing with my son, found myself eyelids dropping constantly!

@aesgriff How bloody rude!!! I'm fuming for you. I'm glad you complained but it's certainly not what you need right now is it?!
Hopefully you get some sort of apology!
