Ladies, if you are on progesterone, do you stop once you hit 12 weeks? No weaning off? I'm currently week 10, I have two week supply left but that's it, I'm worried about stopping suddenly..

@sunnyd67 I got the doctor to prescribe untill 16 weeks as per tommys guidance. Can you ask them about it?

But when you do stop they say just to stop, no meed for weaning off

@arianasky @Skl2021 raging doesn’t even cover it girls 🤬 I’ve been thinking about it all day. Told the GP and she was shocked and asked me to tell them once I’ve heard back from PALS as their clinical guidance says to refer anyone under 13 weeks pregnant to EPU! Xx

@speake it’s soooo frustrating isn’t it!!! You’re so right about the scans coming out of her wages as that’s exactly how she acted. Luckily I kept the scan as I hadn’t got round to cancelling within the hour EPU rang back and cancelled 🤦‍♀️ Positive news is that following an internal examination my cervix is closed. She could see a lot of brown blood with the speculum in and took a swab. We’ll have to wait and see now! How are you feeling about Friday? Xx

@Annny27 I’ve been on progesterone since 4 weeks but have and 3 bleeds whilst on it 😫 even more worrying to be bleeding whilst on it xx

@sunnyd67 I’ve been told 16 weeks also but midwife tried telling me to stop at 12 weeks xx

@aesgriff thank goodness you kept the scan, will be thinking of you tomorrow 💕 Great news too that your cervix is closed, hopefully the swab will provide some answers for you. It is such a worry but you’ve done so well to cope with it all this far! Is it a nurse / midwife that is doing this? Wondering if your GP can refer you to a consultant who could then overrule this woman. Or is there another EPU not too far from you that the GP could try referring you to? Absolute madness that the GP is following their guidelines and it is still being cancelled, can’t fathom it. You sound like you’re doing really well given the circumstances! Xxx

Feeling absolutely terrified about Friday, especially with not having a scan since the one after our bleed at 7 weeks & having had covid. My husband is determined all is fine because I’ve got a little bump but I’m really worried that is bloating because of all the steroids / meds that I’m on and it’s going to open him up to a bigger fall if it is bad news. My own version of your horrible woman at epu, at the recurrent miscarriage clinic, telling me the progesterone would likely result in a missed miscarriage this time is not helping as you can imagine. I so desperately want to believe that no spotting at the moment = good news but after her saying that I just have it in my head that I could have already lost but the progesterone Is stopping my body expelling it. Just so hard to be positive but I am trying. Crossing everything possible & praying for good news 🙏🏼🤞🏼 Xxx

Hi everyone can I join? I had a MMC at 8/9 weeks last year and now 7 weeks through my second pregnancy. I was doing really well mentally until now feeling super positive and convinced it would be fine this time but as I approach the time I discovered the loss of the first one I’m unravelling a bit…. I feel so cross that MMCs exist because there’s no relief even a day where I seemingly feel pregnant and have no bleeding isn’t a day without worry. Starting to panic a bit about how I’ll cope if another goes tits up but also being cross with myself for being negative. I do have a scan booked for next week when I will be 8/9 weeks again… but I’m dreading it. Gah! Help!

@speake ooh lovely lady how strong you are you mean ♥️♥️ MMC are petrifying but if there’s one thing I’ve learnt is that even with progesterone if you’re going to bleed then you will bleed.
There’s no helping that naughty brain that just goes with the wind and leads you to start to imagine that every thing that could have gone wrong will have gone wrong. Miscarriage is so cruel that it gives us these thoughts and takes away the joys off pregnancy. I feel sooo positive for you though ♥️♥️ You’ve taken some control back and started your treatment programme and that is something special that hasn’t been there any other times. Big squeezes to us both xx thanks for the idea about EPU referral to another local hospital.. I seriously will consider that in the future as there’s no way I want to go back to this one ever again!!! Xx

I had a scan last week at 6 weeks all fine but still feel so worried that I'm having another MMC.

It's so cruel, just can't relax.

Have another private scan end of next week should be 8+4 but feels like an eternity to wait and worry.

I have symptoms (tired sick bloat/tummy sore boobs seeing loads) but on progesterone so no idea if it's that or pregnancy. Nightmare xx

I feel the same have my scan Thursday last Monday they saw the gestational and yolk sac so I'm petrified it hasn't progressed and I'll have another MMC 😞

Welcome @Norberta! I was 7 weeks exactly yesterday so we must be due around the same time!

I've woken up with an awful cold today, such a bad head and scratchy throat! I feel bad for my son as I'm just such a zombie today.

@arianasky I feel exactly the same, gestational and yolk sac was seen but when I have my scan a week today I'm so scared that they won't see anything else!

I actually feel a bit less deranged today compared with yesterday I wonder whether I was tired.

Hi @Skl2021 I'm ok thanks lovely how are you? I have my midwife appointment tomorrow - am
In two minds about listening for the heartbeat as I know it can be hard to find and I know I'll panic if she can't?! Then hopefully going to Malta on sat for 4 days if she says I'm good to go. Was tempted to have a 16 week scan when I'm back (when I'm 17 weeks) but other half wants me to try and push through to 20 weeks. Obviously will get scanned anyway if I have more bleeding. Xx

@Bridgey8 good luck with appointment mines in 2 weeks. Yes it's hard I would like to hear it for reasurance but then like you say I would panic if she couldn't find it 🤦 have a lovely time in Malta 🔥☀️ I'm really struggling my anxiety is sky high and I'm crumbling. I hate what miscarriage has done to me. I'm convinced something has happened have a horrible gut feeling. I'm upset and snapping at everyone around me. Can't get a scan this week at least. Feel that were in limbo as symptoms have all gone and it's too early for movements. Just don't know what to do. Xx

@Skl2021 I know how you feel. I am waiting for some CBT therapy to help with worry management but going to speak to midwife tomo to see if I can get anything quicker.I'm just worried about the heartbeat before Malta as if she can't find it I'll ruin my holiday panicking whereas when I'm home I could always just pay for a scan to reassure. Have you felt anything yet? I feel the odd thing but I think it's wind 😂 just keep taking each day at a time xxxx
