Is anyone else doing this on their own? I've woke up to a message saying he doesn't want to be there and he doesn't want his family knowing. I raised my youngest son on my own who has autism and learning difficulties even though I was with his dad the first few years. He was useless. So I know I can do whatever I have to to make this work. It's just disappointing. Hope he can live with himself. Now I know his decision I can focus on what is important!

tigger2022 · 02/04/2022 07:16

@LS1983 yes I’m doing this on my own x

Daunted, but fierce!

LS1983 · 02/04/2022 07:51

@tigger2022 we will do better on our own 💪🏻

Cheetocat · 02/04/2022 08:53

Someone who just decides not to have obligations is probably not a good influence on little ones anyway. I'm sorry. You're both stronger than I'd be.

@LS1983 sorry to hear that, must be a very difficult time. You and @tigger2022 are very strong!

sarahj878 · 02/04/2022 13:11

Is anyone else struggling to drink much water first thing? I had a big lie in this morning and then couldn’t manage any until about midday. I drink more than 2 litres a day but wondering if it matters I go quite a while without any 🤔

Chellooo · 02/04/2022 13:41

Hi Everyone, can I just get some thoughts on Paracetamol?
I'm 6 weeks and am absolutely loaded with some viral thing going about- entire throat feels bruised so can't swallow, and a really raw tickly cough that is killing me and giving me the worst headache.
I'm trying to avoid any medication but I just need something to take the edge off and I know they say Paracetamol is fine every so often but how much is too much? Like is one or 2 a day OK until I'm over the worst?

sarahj878 · 02/04/2022 14:06

@Chellooo I was told by dr when I had COVID that paracetamol is fine but not to take ibuprofen. Hope you feel better soon

sarahj878 · 02/04/2022 14:07

@Chellooo ps. I was told could take as per packet instructions, up to 8 in 24 hours

Chellooo · 02/04/2022 15:11

Brilliant, thank you! Nothing worse than feeling horrendous and not being able to take anything!

Casper94 · 02/04/2022 15:14

@sarahj878 there was a mix up with the referral and it took them so long to get back to me but they've booked me in for tomorrow at 11.15! I'm hoping all is okay - still getting some cramps but nothing has got any worse so I'm taking that as a good sign

Casper94 · 02/04/2022 15:20

@chellooo paracetamol is the safest pain relief in pregnancy and you can take them as per standard instructions - 2 tabs every 4-6 hours but no more than 4 doses in a 24 hour period. I had an awful viral cold last week and caved after 3 days of waiting it out and I'm so glad I did because I felt awful!

So assuming I’m due in November.
Had a bit of a rollercoaster ride so far and praying everything is ok
Had a MC on 8th Feb
A few weeks later I was testing positive (I hadn’t actually taken a test after MC to check if negative due to follow up scan showing all clear)
Was back and forward to the hospital,
HCG taken 208
Then dipped to 148 48 hours later. Was told it was failing.
398 - 72 hours later
826 - 48 hours later
1874 - about 65 hours later

Had multiple scans which didn’t show anything until the last one a day after the last HCG result. I was told she can now see a sac in the uterus.
Have to wait another 2 weeks for another scan to check in.

I guess i’m wondering, anyone else had HCG levels dip and then go up again with a positive outcome?

It’s only been 5 days since my last scan but it’s such a nervous time waiting for the next one. Especially as Ive caught covid now and feeling pretty pants.

Yutes · 02/04/2022 16:17

Well…I’m about 9 weeks and now have covid. PAL so just hoping for the best

RhiRhi1988 · 02/04/2022 16:33

Hoping your Covid is not too bad x

LS1983 · 02/04/2022 16:58

@Yutes Get well soon x

louise891 · 02/04/2022 18:03

Hi! Just found this thread 🤪 I'm 6 weeks exactly today and due on the 25th Nov baby #4. 👶 currently no symptoms except tiredness 😴

boringperson123 · 02/04/2022 18:40

I’m 7 weeks and have covid too. And had some spotting earlier today :/

Kathno4 · 02/04/2022 18:47

Checking in, been in haven for a week. Had a brill time and came back last night, pushed through the nausea and tiredness til today I feel terrible! Getting days where I’m eating enough for a family of 4 then other days barely able to snack, getting a call Monday to arrange bloods. Cutting it fine as I’ll be 10 weeks on Wednesday. Anyone else feeling huge 😄

Cheetocat · 02/04/2022 20:26

I don't think I'm going to show for quite a while since I already have a chubby belly. I'm still full from lunch hours ago, I want to eat a salad for dinner to nourish the little fetus and I have no room for it!

My boobs aren’t sore anymore. I’m not sure what to do. Maybe I’m just feeling sorry for myself because I have covid Sad

It's so normal for symptoms to come and go. Covid is so frustrating, I didn't have bad symptoms but it made me so exhausted mentally and physically, take care if yourself!

@Yutes my symptoms come and go. I'm 7+1 and they have never been consistent. Try not to worry.

Casper94 · 03/04/2022 08:11

Scan is today at 11.15, been up since 6 and like a crazy woman I've baked a cake to keep myself distracted 😂😂

Kathno4 · 03/04/2022 08:54

Best of luck @casper94 been thinking about you 💞 what a great way to stay distracted, been up since 6 and eaten 2 crème eggs and about a dozen crackers 🥱 would love to get back into bed but with 2 toddlers and a preteen it’s just impossible 😩hope everyone has a good day
