@Tuesdaysgirl fb.me/g/eRMrb28ZF/HK70rwCY hopefully this link will work for you x

Tuesdaysgirl · 09/05/2022 16:04

@Pamctake2 it did! Thanks so much

Kathno4 · 09/05/2022 16:37

@Tuesdaysgirl thankyou 💕🥰

VolcanicProtectorMan · 09/05/2022 20:22

I’m dreading my scan now because of the screening blood test they do after it. I had my booking bloods on Friday and I felt horribly faint and ill afterwards. Had to lie on a bed for half an hour and be fanned by a clipboard. I’m normally fine with bloods, but she took three vials which surprised me. I’ve been pregnant before though so must have had three vials taken before! I just wish they could screen through the ones on Friday because now my scan is marred by the fact I know I have to have more bloods done afterwards 😔

rickandmorts · 09/05/2022 20:51

Thanks @Tuesdaysgirl, will mention it at my next scan!

BellatrixK · 09/05/2022 21:28

Hello, please can I join? I’ve been lurking, but
reluctant to join after 2 early miscarriages. I had my 12 week scan on Friday and all seemed good! Although, they couldn’t get the nuchal measurements so I’m back for the quad blood test in 2 weeks.

Pamctake2 · 10/05/2022 06:23

@BellatrixK hi 👋 I've also previously had an early MC, definitely puts you on edge that first trimester. How are you feeling? x

BellatrixK · 10/05/2022 07:33

Thank you @Pamctake2 I’m feeling a lot better after the 12 week scan. Although it still feels really weird telling people! And the sickness is actually getting worse! Hopefully it’ll pass soon 🤞

AnxiousJane · 10/05/2022 12:54

@Cocobeau ❤ Fingers crossed for your bloods and that you don't have to wait too long x

AnxiousJane · 10/05/2022 12:57

@VolcanicProtectorMan maybe take a biscuit with you to have after and some squash. If you let them know aswell how your last appointment went. Hope you can still look forward to your scan. I also dread the bloods, I have terrible veins so they really struggle to get blood out. Takes an age and usually 2 different people having a go each time.

VolcanicProtectorMan · 10/05/2022 18:52

@AnxiousJane Yeah definitely good idea with the biscuit. The midwife gave me a chocolate she had lurking in the cupboard and that helped a lot

sarahj878 · 10/05/2022 21:12

@VolcanicProtectorMan hope you’re able to look forward to your scan. I’ve had to have weekly blood tests so far and like @AnxiousJane they often have trouble getting blood out which has resulted in them using the same vein every time. One nurse told me it’s easier if you ensure you’re really well hydrated. Good shout on taking biscuit and squash with you. Maybe take a little portable fan with you too or some dried fruit to snack on while you’re having blood taken?

VolcanicProtectorMan · 10/05/2022 21:19

@sarahj878 Gosh, weekly bloods! Tbf I’ve had bloods the past two weeks. First one was an unplanned one to check for immunity to chicken pox and my toddler had it, one vial, and it was luckily fine (I had covid at the time so had to have bloods taken in my car in the car park!), then booking bloods.

Is the screening blood test for Downs/Edwards/Patau they take after the scan just one vial does anyone know? I think it was the fact it was three that did it, it took a while.

sarahj878 · 10/05/2022 21:44

@VolcanicProtectorManGlad you were ok with chicken pox immunity, it’s everywhere at the moment isn’t it!

Most of my blood tests have been because I’ve spotted regularly and then there was a problem spotted with some of my vitamin levels so I needed some more tests to check them.

I can’t remember from when I had my son how many vials they take at the scan and haven’t got my NHS scan until next week. I had an NIPT done privately this week though and they took 2 vials.

AnxiousJane · 11/05/2022 04:51

@sarahj878 mines the same, I have 1 vein they can find and its really deep in my arm. I had fertility problems with my first pregnancy, so had to have weekly bloods to work out if/when I ovulate and I think they overused the same vein. x

roobearbaby · 11/05/2022 06:46

I had my screening blood test (for downs etc) last week and it was just one small vial

VolcanicProtectorMan · 11/05/2022 07:20

@roobearbaby ah thanks! Hopefully mine will be the same as I seemed to be ok with one vial 🤞

Lou2022 · 11/05/2022 10:44

Scanxiety is so high for me today.. dating scan is tomorrow! Had a MMC in October I'm so nervous!

sarahj878 · 11/05/2022 12:48

Good luck at your scan @Lou2022 must be a very anxious time for you, hope things go well

roobearbaby · 11/05/2022 15:15

Scanxiety is awful! Just try and remember that the odds of everything being ok are in your favour. When we went for our scan, I was asked if I had an early scan, I said yes and she said "ooooo it's going to look so different today you will love it". There was no "hopefully" no " maybes" just solid positivity. It made me feel so at ease immediately.

Good luck and keep us posted ❤️

sarahj878 · 11/05/2022 20:21

Does anyone know if KFC mayo is pasteurised? I have such a craving for a toasted twister it’s unreal

roobearbaby · 11/05/2022 21:14

It will be long life mayo so I would be surprised if it wasn't!

sarahj878 · 11/05/2022 21:22

@roobearbaby thank you! DH went out to get some and they told him it wasn’t which he didn’t believe but played it safe and got me a sweet chilli one instead. Happily full now! I’m getting massive cravings now the nausea has lifted a bit, anyone else?

Lou2022 · 12/05/2022 15:03

Dating scan all went well 😭❤ I'm so relieved! Been brought forward 5 days so due 19th November!

Firework87 · 12/05/2022 15:53

Hi Everyone, just found this page - wish i'd found it earlier. Feel like google is my new best friend! First baby and had all day nausea from around week 5 to week 12, luckily its eased now, to just when i get too hungry. All started to feel very real at the scan when we got a perfect scan photo! Due date confirmed 7th Nov. Everyone keeps asking if i have cravings yet - but i dont feel i have, is that normal or have i just noticed haha
