@ALittleBitofVitriol Just reading your post about number 4 being the most difficult- on number 4 here!😱 I agree with you on number 3, easy peasy and very quick. Am feeling foolish now for thinking that it just gets easier 😆. Do you feel like you are having a boy or girl this time?

Sorry, didn't mean to scare you, just that each birth is so different it's difficult to predict! My #4 was hardest because he was posterior and born facing the wrong way (ie, the cone was on his forehead not the back of his head) and I had been expecting an easy birth due to #3 🤦‍♀️ It was a homebirth too so no drugs to help! I think it would have been as quick&easy as #3 if he'd been facing the right way. All was good in the end. I have no expectations this time, I'm older and higher risk now and its a big gap since my last so just taking it all day by day.

I think I'm having another boy, we have 1 girl and 3 boys already. Some early symptoms were very familiar to my boy pregnancies. We'd be happy either way. 🙂

@Bramblecrumble21 lovely scan! Awesome when they’re active. I kinda felt I got some of babies personality from just looking at the scan already.

feeling like I’ve been pregnant forever, I usually don’t find out until the 2nd trimester so the fact I’ve just entered it 😯

14+3 now and still bad morning sickness and migraines had me bed ridden for a few days, hard going with 3 others to look after….

waiting for my bloods to come back to see over all health etc, really nervous as the only thing I’m bothered about is the antibodies bloodwork…. Midwife appointment on the 11th can’t come quick enough ….

2in2022 · 07/05/2022 06:44

@73nat @Nervousdave I also have a little boy who’s birthday is December, although he’s going to be 4 this year. Even though I would like a girl and a little best friend, I feel like I’m destined for a house full of boys, even my dog is a boy. I’m totally outnumbered so another boy would fit in nicely. We didn’t find out with my son and I don’t want to find out this time either but my husband does. He’s saying it’s for organisation purposes but it’s definitely because he’s too excited and impatient.

AbbiL0u · 07/05/2022 09:50

@tigger2022 I feel the same! I have started to feel like the bottom of my stomach is hard in a morning now (14 weeks today) so hoping it is that I’m showing a little rather than getting fat 😆

Bramblecrumble21 · 07/05/2022 10:52

@Kathno4 yes, last time the somographer let my DH have a go with the probe at the end and my DD rolled over when I was laughing. Now she'll roll over and pull the covers up in the morning and say she's still sleeping. Haha. Sorry to hear about your symptoms. I feel bad moaning about my headache which are irritating and distracting but not debilitating. My first pregnancy felt like forever. But for me April has gone quite quick. I don't agree that the 6 months wait will fly by, maybe for my DH.

I had my follow up scan yesterday after a trip to A&E last week. Thankfully all was ok and our little bean measured 10 weeks 3 days ☺️ we also got our dating scan, not to 23rd May and I'll be nearly 13 weeks by then. It's good to have a date to work towards next! Can anyone offer any advice on chicken pox - I'm going to visit cousins next week and their little girl took it about two weeks ago. Pretty sure I had it as a child and their daughter is back at nursery. Don't plan on telling my cousins for a while yet so can't ask too many questions. Thanks

2in2022 · 07/05/2022 17:45

@teddy2806 my son had it 2 weeks ago & I had to be around him the entire time he had it. I rang my midwife for advice as my mum wasn’t 100% sure I’d had it has a child. Midwife checked my booking in bloods and said they showed I had immunity. She also said that with me being around my son it is likely that I will pick up the virus (even without being affected in any way) and baby will get some immunity from me.

Tuesdaysgirl · 07/05/2022 19:28

We already have a boy and a girl, so I’m not bothered about finding out but DP wants to. Our first was a surprise.

can someone put the Facebook link up again please? The one on the last page comes up as expired.

sarahj878 · 08/05/2022 16:06

Is anyone else really showing now? I’m just over 11 weeks although baby measured over 11 weeks at the scan I had last week and feel like I definitely look pregnant now. I can’t remember when I really began to show last time. I was also this stage pregnant at totally different time of year so I have no idea what to wear right now lol

roobearbaby · 08/05/2022 16:56

I definitely have a small bump!! I've been bloated for weeks but the last few days it has got much harder! Even my jeggings and leggings are digging in and making me so uncomfortable! Might be time for me to go shopping for some maternity trousers soon!

Cruz86 · 08/05/2022 17:56

Yes I'm definitely showing now! I'm 14+2 with my second and I feel like I've felt a few odd flutters too 🥰

Bramblecrumble21 · 08/05/2022 19:17

I am showing now. I have been bloated and look pregnant since the beginning.I thought I imagined flutter just about my belly button on Wednesday. I'm 14 weeks today.

rickandmorts · 08/05/2022 19:51

I've just started showing this week too 🥰 I'm nearly 13 weeks. Have my first scan tomorrow so I'm nervous and excited for that!

AnxiousJane · 09/05/2022 03:59

I'm just over 13 weeks and definitely showing, this is my 2nd. Due date 12th November. My son caught chicken pox when I was 7 weeks pregnant, I called 111 for advice and got a call back from a midwife who said as I'd already had it as a child I'd be immune. Anyone else suffering from pregnancy insomnia? I'm also still struggling with nausea although it now comes on earlier in the day and doesn't last as long. I thought it'd be gone by now. I hope all goes well with your first scan @rickandmorts I was also so nervous. I think I'll still be nervous with every scan.lol. Anyone else finding out the sex before the 20 week scan? 🙈

I get up at 3am for work so no chance of insomnia as I'm already awake 😭 it's hell tbh and I can't wait to finish. On my days off I am waking at 4am to go for a wee so that's annoying too! Thank you, I feel really strange about my scan! Like what if I get there and I've made a huge mistake and there's not actually a baby in there and all my symptoms are just something else 🙈 did anyone else feel like this before their first scan?

Bramblecrumble21 · 09/05/2022 08:17

@AnxiousJane I had insomnia in my first pregnancy. Fell asleep okay, but woke at 3amish and couldn't get back to sleep. I had other mental health issues but the insomnia I felt I had the least control on Found myself pacing, bouncing on my ball. I also had sleep paralysis one of the few times I did go back to sleep. I was signed off work. I tried all the good sleep health tips but they didn't do too much and in the end I was prescribed qutiapine which really helpful and I weaned off it when my baby was 6 months old.

This time, I sleep like a log. Thinking of you.

@rickandmorts 3am for work doesn't sound fun at all. I do 3 long shifts a week but wake at 6am. I'm finding I can catch up on sleep over a week though. I'm due a meeting with my manager to discuss risk assessment and materaty leave/annual leave. I'm going to ask if I can use annual leave to do some half days just before maternity but it might not be allowed.

Tuesdaysgirl · 09/05/2022 09:42

I definitely have a bump (12 weeks) but this is my third. @AnxiousJane my nausea is now mainly confined to the evening or if I haven’t eaten for a while. Wish it would go away totally. Sorry to hear about the insomnia, I can get to sleep fine but keep waking up

Cocobeau · 09/05/2022 10:10

I have my 12 week scan this afternoon and I should also get the results of my screening blood tests whilst there (had them at 10+5). I'm SO nervous something is going to be wrong or the results of the very high end. This morning is dragging so much.

AnxiousJane · 09/05/2022 12:27

I had the same with my 1st pregnancy but much later on in the pregnancy. I'd be awake from 2 or 3ish every morning, not good when you've got to get up for work, and worse now if I do get back sleep my son wakes me up between 5 and 6 and then I have a full on day at work 😫. Feeling very blessed to be pregnant though and all going well so far. Good luck to you both with your scans this afternoon. Try not to worry (easier said than done I know!) I was also worried about high risk results due to my age, however mine came back low, big sigh of relief. x

AnxiousJane · 09/05/2022 12:29

@Cocobeau I had bloods with the midwife a few weeks before my scan but they took them again for the screening at my scan and then I received a letter a few days later. Hope you get your screening results today though x

rickandmorts · 09/05/2022 13:38

Just back from my scan. So because I ovulated really late (when I was due on my period) I'm actually only 10.5 weeks and new due date of 30th November. So I'm definitely not showing yet, must just be bloated 🤣. But it was really nice to see it and the sonographer said the little heart was beating away 🥰. Go back in 2 weeks for 12 week scan.

As a side note, does everyone get screening bloods taken? As these haven't been mentioned yet to me?

I feel huge, I look huge. I’m tired.
the end 🥱🤣

Tuesdaysgirl · 09/05/2022 15:05

@rickandmorts i had mine done at the same time as my dating scan

@Kathno4 this will be me too in a couple of weeks I have no doubt!!

another request for the Facebook link please ? Or is there a way around the expired link business?!

Tuesdaysgirl · 09/05/2022 15:06

(@Kathno4 also you look lovely. I just look like I ate alllllll the cakes)

Cocobeau · 09/05/2022 15:40

@AnxiousJane thank you. I did get my screening results which put me at high risk for downs syndrome so they took bloods for a NIPT test which I should get within around a week.
