Hi, can I join you ladies? Due 17th November 😊

73nat · 04/05/2022 17:34

Hi ladies I'm due 10th November with my 2nd and just found this thread 😊
I've just had my booking appt and have dating scan finally booked in for 9th may! I feel much more worried this time around having not seen baby!
How's everyones symptoms? Xx

SherHar123 · 04/05/2022 21:27

Hi @73nat, that's great your scan is coming up, I totally get your worry. Have you had much nausea? Pregnant with ..wait for it...number 4 🙈😱 here. I've always found nausea reassuring that all is well although I know it's not a guaranteed indicator. Have you told many people you are expecting or going to after the scan?

73nat · 04/05/2022 21:54

@SherHar123 oh wow I'm barely coping being pregnant looking after one you must be wonder woman! I've had bad sickness and nausea since about 4 weeks! And I have a horrendous taste/smell that's putting me off most foods I didn't get it with my first! I've told most people as I looked so ill I couldn't hide it 😂how far are you? X

2in2022 · 04/05/2022 21:59

I have just received my 12 week scan letter for 20th May and also a second letter with an appointment to see a consultant straight after the scan. I’m now worrying over why I am seeing a consultant straight after. I did have a fourth degree tear with my first and was told I’d need a c-section delivery for any subsequent children but my midwife at booking didn’t mention me needing to have a consultant appointment regarding this. So obviously I’m overthinking everything and panicking that there’s been something wrong with my bloods or they know something I don’t.

SherHar123 · 04/05/2022 22:04

@73nat luckily I work so am able to rest then! Ah I feel your pain with the sickness, it's been relentless for me this time around also and I find if I don't eat I feel worse but never actually that hungry. Had my scan last Saturday, will be 12 weeks tomorrow. We've still not told many people. I think because it's our 4th and it wasn't planned (my youngest son is still only 1), I am a bit sensitive to how people will react! How old is your other little one?

73nat · 04/05/2022 22:06

@SherHar123 ah two under two that's exciting! My son is 2 he'll be turning 3 December after baby arrives! It's funny the difference in the pregnancies I wonder if I'm having a girl since it's so different but I see myself as a boy mom! Will u find out ?

Anna783426 · 04/05/2022 22:34

I had a third degree tear with my daughter and am under consultant care for that - I think it's automatic if you've had a tear. I hope the scan goes well!

2in2022 · 05/05/2022 08:59

@Anna783426 ah thank you. That’s good to know.

Hannahbobs · 05/05/2022 10:14

@2in2022 I wouldn't worry about it as I think it would be to do with the 4th degree tear. I had a 3rd degree last time and my midwife at booking said I would be consultant led to begin with and have an appointment straight after my scan. I got the appt letter through though and it's end July!

Bramblecrumble21 · 05/05/2022 10:25

@2in2022, I also was surprised to have an obsectric appointment letter through and was expecting to be midwife led. I asked about it when I went for my scan yesterday and they said if there's any reason at all, they like to meet at talk to you.

It was so lovely having my first scan, date has moved from the 4th to the 6th. Here's the baby fighting against the probe with arms and legs.

My headaches are also better this week. I've been keeping a diary of them so I can identify triggers. Last time they got the better of me.I'm pretty sure it's caffeine, as I've cut down but not stopped. And also screens. I'm concidering whether it's my Asda multivitamin, as the headaches started when I switched to that, so keeping track of that and when I take it/what with. Seeing if taking vit d and iron instead is better.

we’re stranded in Sydney for a while and decided to book a scan for a glimpse and was absolutely in awe to see an active healthy baby. Im so so so excited. the lady gave me an earlier due date, 23rd November.

TFMinx · 05/05/2022 17:49

Had my scan today and my date has changed again: I'm now 13+1 so my new due date is 9th November! I need the list so I can update Smile

SzeliSecond · 05/05/2022 21:19

12 week scan today. Got c section date for 16th Nov :)

SherHar123 · 05/05/2022 21:36

@73nat well it's prob hard to see yourself as a girl mum when having a boy is all you know (at the moment!). We won't find out. I found out with my 2nd, which was a boy (1st was a girl). We didn't find out last time as it was supposed to be our last pregnancy so wanted to keep as a surprise but I always felt like I was having a boy. Will you find out?

73nat · 05/05/2022 22:01

@SzeliSecond omg that's so exciting Asif you know you'll have a baby on that exact date! Congratulations

@SherHar123 oh wow I don't know how you don't find out I couldn't wait 😂 yeah we find our 27th May. I knew It was a boy first time it's funny isn't it! I'm hoping for an easier birth although I'm high risk so everything crossed were your 2nd/3rd easier ( tell me yes haha)

ALittleBitofVitriol · 05/05/2022 22:20

Yay for the happy scans!

I'm 13 weeks now, the nausea seems to have peaked - thank goodness. The tiredness is still there and a new daily headache symptom is pretty annoying... I'm hoping the tiredness eases a bit because my other kids aren't getting the best mum in the world right now.

We'll find out the sex at 20 weeks hopefully, we always like to find out, we have our suspicions (correct every time so far!)

2nd and 3rd were easier... in some ways 😅 sorry, usually they're quicker which makes it easier but there's no guarantees with giving birth! My 2nd was easier than my 1st until some complications afterwards. My 3rd was by far my easiest, my 4th was probably the hardest 😳. I have no expectations at all this time for #5.

SzeliSecond · 05/05/2022 23:41

@73nat I know! Thanks. It's my brothers wedding on the 10th so I was panicking a bit but calm now. Reassuring too as I was admitted to gynae last night with bleeding so a healthy heartbeat was what I very much needed! Still a little nervous tho!

Pamctake2 · 06/05/2022 12:09

If I'm guessing correct I think most of you are on the Facebook page but as more people are passing the 12week stage - just wanted to send a reminder out to anyone that wants to join. Lovely group of ladies and loads of support on there if anyone fancies it xx

SzeliSecond · 06/05/2022 15:50

Hi what is the fb group?

SherHar123 · 06/05/2022 16:18

@Pamctake2 I'm not on the Facebook group but would like to join

SherHar123 · 06/05/2022 16:22

@ALittleBitofVitriol Just reading your post about number 4 being the most difficult- on number 4 here!😱 I agree with you on number 3, easy peasy and very quick. Am feeling foolish now for thinking that it just gets easier 😆. Do you feel like you are having a boy or girl this time?

Pamctake2 · 06/05/2022 16:36

@SzeliSecond @SherHar123 fb.me/g/eQRXEbS1p/alYNFQCe this is the link to the fb group - I think it just asks for your username to get accepted. It is a private, hidden group so others won't be able to see you're in there x

tigger2022 · 06/05/2022 19:03

How can you tell whether you're showing early vs just putting on weight from inactivity 😳

Nervousdave · 06/05/2022 22:29

@73nat hi, I also have a little boy who will be 3 in December! And I would love this one to be a boy as I see myself as mum of boys too 🤷🏻‍♀️ grew up with a bunch of brothers, so boys are all I know 😆
