Hi, hope you all had a good weekend, I'm going to be 11 weeks tomorrow, so happy to be almost done with the first trimester! We told all of our loved ones over the weekend, it was lovely, everyone is so happy. Anyone else not planning to baptise their baby but still having god-parents? We're not religious at all but we're both raised Catholic. I wish I could do something for them to make it feel more official once baby is here.

I’m planning on a naming ceremony, but it will be a humanist ceremony as neither myself nor my partner are religious. That’s the plan, at least. You could incorporate some of that into what you want.

I’ve tried to stay off the forum this last week. It’s felt like the longest week, as I wait for my next scan.
I love hearing the news of you all having scans and seeing your Babies heartbeats, but not going to lie it’s been difficult this week.
My last scan showed three gestational sacs but no clear fetal pole in any of them. Obviously very worried it’s another miscarriage for me. I guess this time I’m more mentally prepared because I recently had a miscarriage early Feb. But the thought that it could have been three babies is so hard to think about.

I have my follow up scan to see if there has been any growth tomorrow. Praying there has, but deep down I feel it’s bad news. I don’t feel pregnant any more. I have slight tender boobs, but think that’s the side effect of the progesterone. And with potentially three, I feel I probably should have more symptoms than I do.

The waiting game sucks!

Thank you @TFMinx, so glad you’ve had some good news! 💕 I still feel pregnant and eating a lot/have some growing pains and feel nauseous at times so taking those as positives! 🤞🏼

Ahhh so exciting @Cheetocat & @xreadytoglow, and happy 11 weeks for tomorrow! Do you have your scans booked in? 😁 mine is 26th and I’m a mix of nerves and excitement!

I’m really sorry but not sure on the godparents side but I’m sure there most be an equivalent to do something like that without a formal baptism? It’s a really lovely idea 😀

Well, that's my miscarriage confirmed. It's been such a stressful week, I'm almost relieved we at least have an answer.

Best of luck to everyone else, wishing you all beautiful, uneventful 12 week scans and a safe transition into the second trimester, with fewer symptoms and less anxiety.

I'm 9 weeks tomorrow, feels like a more "proper" number now each week 😁 I can tell I'm going to be waiting for the postman each morning for my 12 week scan letter ...

@abbiL0u Yes, mine is not til the 6th of May! A good bit more to wait because they wait to do until 3 weeks after testing the blood for chromosomal abnormalities here in Portugal and I just did that on the 14th.

@Reddoritos welcome and congrats 😀 Love the name haha We are close in dates, think I'm due around the 30th 😀 Although I seem to have been given dates between 28th-1st so who knows 😂

@FlowerJ thank you! Yes, mine was the same - between 28-1st, I went for the earlier because I think my cycle is usually shorter (and I'm impatient lol!)

@Nervousdave Woooo super exciting, hello date friend 🤣 I read you can have your dating scan between 8-14 weeks so hopefully you will get a good look at baby on Friday, let us know how it goes! 💕

Those of you approaching second trimester. Does it get better?? I am walking around in constant daze, having to nap sometimes twice a day, awful headaches and the nausea! Don’t get me started on the nausea! I need the light at the end of the tunnel…

Not good news for me today.
My three sacs still have nothing inside. They have grown slightly vs last week but that’s all.
Have to wait 1 more week for another scan but wishing I could just move on now :(

@GabsK92 I'm still only 8+2 but with my other 2 things definitely improved massively after 14 weeks.

@Reddoritos I'd been tracking mine for sometime and they just vary so much. So I'll be interested to see what date they actually give me haha

Got myself in a flap because my RHR dropped massively and my symptoms were disappearing already. But had my early scan today and everything is fine thank god 😍 measuring ahead at 8+5.

This is a weird one, but how is everyone feeling about money? We have always been fortunate enough to be able to save a little every month, but I’m worried with bills going up and my wage (eventually) going down due to maternity/returning part time about how life will be and if we will be okay. How’s everyone else feeling about this?

@AbbiL0u I worried about this a few weeks ago but buried my head in the sand. I feel as though we are ok financially, and I'm thinking when I am getting my full pay, I'll put what I have been spending in petrol (a crazy amount as I changed jobs to one with a comute then petrol prices rose) into savings which I will plan to supplement my reduced pay....I do get a little angry when my DH buys stuff
