I’m 7+2 today, still spotting and keep being reassured by EPU that brown is old blood and not to worry. My symptoms have lessened, I’ve managed to eat more today, felt less nauseous and my breasts are less sore and it’s making me panic. I’ve got a scan on Thursday and time is going very slowly waiting for it

Kathno4 · 12/04/2022 23:52

Thinking of everyone going through a tough time 💕

Second half of my booking in appt tomorrow, I’ll be coming home with my notes 😍 and will soon have a scan date!! 11 wks today

Really stressing over family stuff going on at the mo so really need this as a way to look forward…

Casper94 · 13/04/2022 07:33

I'm 8+1 today and this is the first day since about a week after conception that my boobs aren't sore - I know I should be happy but I can't help but worry - also woke up last night with horrific cramping but I think it's constipation rather than baby 😅

Feb85 · 13/04/2022 07:46

Aw lovely that's wonderful news @xreadytoglow

Cocobeau · 13/04/2022 09:27

I had my booking appointment on Monday and because I'd mention pretty frequent cramps and a tiny bit of spotting, she sent me for an early scan which I had yesterday morning. Quite a nervous wait thinking there might be something wrong and then also to be told it would be internal - was not expecting that. But everything checked out well and she put me a couple of days ahead at 8+3. I got such a relief being told the cramps are just my body making space and a secondary relief of finding just the one baby cooking. It feels like it's a long wait until the 12 week scan.

roobearbaby · 13/04/2022 13:02

TMI but I am usually a sufferer of stress related IBS which means I go to the loo at least 3 times a day, normally. Since getting my BFP my IBS has cleared up and I am now going about once every 2 days. I know it is normal but it is very odd!

Ladymama12 · 13/04/2022 13:59

@xreadytoglow so happy for you 💐💐💐

Bramblecrumble21 · 13/04/2022 16:02

Exciting news - I have my appointment times through for my 2 us scans. Dating one will be in may nearly 14 weeks and the first scan I will have. It was the same with my first.

I have found my food preferences are very different than with my daughter. With her I loved porridge and chips, so carbs. Now I love fish, meat and tofu(so protein). Yesterday we had KFC. And I just wanted the chicken, nothing else. So according to old wives tale, it's a boy this time. Also, I have more facial hair.

Kathno4 · 13/04/2022 17:37

Booking in appt done, I know the midwife, she gave me a good sweep 2 pregnancies ago 🤣

She’s sent a fax for the scan, I’ll know the date soon 🥰 have ketones in my urine so got to keep an eye. Previously had to have IV fluids because of them last time, hoping to not have to be in over Easter weekend

Cheetocat · 13/04/2022 17:47

Having tests and a scan tomorrow, so excited! 10w1d today.

So we had our early scan today, I'm 7+2 and the scan shows as 6+2... trying not to over think it as we saw a lovely little heartbeat 🥰

Bramblecrumble21 · 13/04/2022 20:10

Aw, that's great chellooo, that doesn't sound miles off to me....

netofmums · 13/04/2022 20:56

@Chellooo

So we had our early scan today, I'm 7+2 and the scan shows as 6+2... trying not to over think it as we saw a lovely little heartbeat 🥰
At my scan on Monday I asked the technician if everything was measuring normal and she said they expect to see anything up to a week either way as measuring is tricky and not always very accurate at this stage. She said they generally recheck at your next scan (circa 12 weeks) as things are much more accurate then.

I am the worst possible person to give this advice as I don't practice what I preach, but definitely try not to worry. Very normal for measurements to not be bang on at this point.

tigger2022 · 14/04/2022 07:22

I had another scan this week! It was lovely to see the bean again but it was at the fertility clinic (basically they scan you to check that you’re pregnant and discharge you back to the NHS) and I had some really weird feelings in there. As I was waiting, there were other ladies leaving their appointments crying, who must have gotten bad news, and I felt SO guilty being there. I have imposter syndrome but for pregnancy, I feel like someone deserves this more than I do. Is that weird? Does anyone have anything like that?

Casper94 · 14/04/2022 07:58

@tigger2022 I think that is a completely normal way to feel. I actually feel similar but in a different way - I was on the pill and got pregnant and it makes me feel guilty as hell when I know there are women out there who struggle or have been trying for so long, makes me feel like I don't deserve it as much if that makes sense?
I think these are probably all normal emotions to feel, pregnancy is such an exciting but terrifying time and our minds just like to play tricks on us a lot.

Side note I know this is TMI but I have no one else to share the excitement with that after 3.5 weeks I have finally had a decent poo 🤣🤣

tigger2022 · 14/04/2022 08:23

@Casper94 I can relate though sadly haven't reached the same milestone yet hahahaha

Casper94 · 14/04/2022 08:25

@tigger2022 my friend got me onto kiwis which I never knew helped and they have worked wonders!! Also I've stopped taking my pregnacare cause I think the iron is blocking me up so gonna get some separate vit D and folic acid to take today!

tigger2022 · 14/04/2022 08:34

I've just about come to terms with the fact my body has picked a favourite and it isn't me! 9 weeks today and SO excited for the 2nd trimester... it feels within touching distance! According to the app, bean is officially a foetus and no longer an embryo. Well done in there kid 😂

Cocobeau · 14/04/2022 10:09

@Casper94 it's so weird how different bodies react to pregnancy. I've gone from going twice a week at best (and often with the use of a senakot) to needing to go the moment I wake up every single day.

Is anyone else getting what I'm referring to as anti-cravings? There's no foods I'm especially wanting, I think mostly due to feeling nauseous 90% of the time but there are things that I was basically addicted to that I no longer want at all such as tea and chocolate. I have no desire to eat my daily kinder bars and there are two Creme eggs that have been sat on the side for a week. These would normally last 2 minutes.

Brailsbaby · 14/04/2022 10:15

@Cocobeau I have exactly this nausea and sickness all day the only time it’s better is when I’m asleep, but as soon as I wake up I feel awful again. Have suffered with binge eating for many many years, but since being pregnant there is nothing I fancy/ can keep down. Just feel awful.

Feeling really anxious today too, as I am being sick so much and with my first pregnancy that ended in a miscarriage I had HG for the first 6 weeks (lost baby at 10.5). So I’m scared because I know from my own experience symptoms don’t really mean anything… I was doing well and quite relax but today feeling overly anxious 😥

OtiMama · 14/04/2022 10:22

@Cheetocat hope it goes well for you today.

I agree on just taking vit D and folic acid, it's all you really need. Seems to be so many negative side effects to the full pregnancy supplements.

I've got my NHS scan next week, had all my booking, bloods, urine test etc. on Tuesday. Having a scan what may be early because they don't know how many weeks I am so would rather do it early then leave it and find I'm gone 12 weeks. Just ensures I can have the full tests. I will be shocked if I am 12 weeks, I am expecting to be less and have to go back for another scan.

Also counting down those days til second trimester. Although last time I felt better at 12 weeks but then rough again 14 to 16 weeks. This time I don't feel as sick but I still do and just fed up of how constant it is.
