Hi 👋. I think this is the right thread for me.... at a guess I am 7+5 but I haven't recovered my periods after my last baby was born 16months ago. Thought I was really under the weather and doing too much then suddenly thought to do a test this weekend. We are over joyed tho my DH had hoped we could try for a while (we have had sex 3 times this year poor chap 🤣).

SzeliSecond · 11/04/2022 15:56

Hello pregnancy buddies :) I'm due 18th Nov. Found out 10 days after DTD which is a marked change from 18 weeks with DS! Been a nervous wreck but had 2 scans and seen heartbeat so getting excited now. Bloody exhausted this time tho, the sorest, heaviest boobs and lightheaded. Already started buying tho Blush hard work this time, 9 years older and 7 stone heavier

RhiRhi1988 · 11/04/2022 16:04

Thanks for the encouraging words @LS1983 @Casper94 @sarahj878

Got to the hospital and they had to cancel my appointment as the sonographer had to go home unwell and they couldn’t fit me in. So annoying as I took the time off work, as did my partner.

Booked in for tomorrow instead. The wait is killling me. So impatient.

netofmums · 11/04/2022 16:06

@Chellooo

Hi Everyone, I've booked myself an early scan on Wed for reassurance really, as (I know a lot of you will hate me for this), I haven't really been having a lot of symptoms...yes my boobs are sore but not more that period boobs, and I've been pretty ok on the food/tiredness front - again sorry for all of you really suffering 😢

Just wondering if any of you have had scans about thr 7+2 Mark? Will I see much?

I had mine today at 6 weeks 5 days, measuring spot on. We saw a little heart beat. It was all so surreal in the loveliest possible way.

I've attached a picture. So you should see something like this or more around the 7 week 2 day mark

Chellooo · 11/04/2022 16:09

Awwww lovely! How exciting x

FlowerJ · 11/04/2022 16:13
@Chellooo I had a scan when I thought I was 8 weeks but actually I was 7w +1 and saw a little heartbeat, it was very reassuring!

I feel like I look pregnant today, super bloated! It makes me think my recent cramps are hopefully my uterus growing… it’s so real! I also saw someone say they had been short of breath? I am 10 weeks tomorrow and feel short of breath, is that a pregnancy thing or because I’ve been really lazy recently?!
Definitely a pregnancy thing! I remember with my DS I couldn't get up the stairs without being super short of breath. Was so strange !

I'm a little behind on messages as we've been away. Lovely to see wo many of you have early scans booked in. I have my fingers crossed for you all.

Congrats to all the new ladies too 🥰
@RhiRhi1988 Oh no that's so annoying ! I bet it's felt like the longest 24 hours for you 😔 Not much longer to go.

I've finally hit the 7 week mark and tbh don't have many symptoms at all. The ones I did have seemed to improve. I'm just left bloated and needing to pee!

sarahj878 · 11/04/2022 16:31

I’m 7+1 and had no symptoms today which am trying not to worry about as up until now I’ve had very sore boobs and a lot of nausea. Coupled with the spotting I’ve been having I’ve been very emotional and am trying to just relax about it all as the dr in EPU wasn’t worried at all.

@RhiRhi1988 oh no you poor thing, glad they fitted you in tomorrow but must feel like a very long wait. Hope it goes well tomorrow.

LS1983 · 11/04/2022 16:32

That's annoying @RhiRhi1988 Hopefully get scanned tomorrow!! Good luck ☺️

Cheetocat · 11/04/2022 16:48

Just got my blood test results back today, my toxoplasmosis levels were off the charts but it was declared to be a negative result and just indicative of a previous infection. Also, my hormone levels are out of whack, it's looking like hypothyroidism/hashimoto's.. I have an appiontment at the hospital on Thursday so I'll ask them about it.

@Bramblecrumble21- I’m sorer today now, they felt fuller and more painful at the 4-5week mark but then less and less, I have spotting a lot so I’m really anxious, it’s another 5weeks until my next scan.

@smiles39- I’m exactly the same all food just turns me unless I’m really hungry, when I done the food shop today I was just grabbing stuff to make some sort of meals but wanted nothing at all. After I eat I get sick for a few hours, like a constant car sickness

SzeliSecond · 11/04/2022 18:43

A couple if weeks ago I was like that with food, now I'm having to leave snacks on my bedside table Blush

NotAdultingToday · 11/04/2022 20:59

@SzeliSecond hello due date twin! You could literally be describing my symptoms!

I really want my scan its driving me nuts i still havent heard anything!

My friend is pregnant too and due 4 days before me, shes had her booking appointment and her scan and planning her announcement. I just want to know my little one is ok in there!

Ladymama12 · 11/04/2022 21:58

@RhiRhi1988 can't imagine how annoying that was, good luck for tomorrow.
@netofmums congratulations. So pleased all is as it should be. Beautiful little scan pic 🙂

LS1983 · 12/04/2022 10:24

I've lost my baby 💔 Thanks for all the support. Take care and good luck everyone xx

RhiRhi1988 · 12/04/2022 10:36

So sorry to hear that @LS1983 my thoughts are with you Flowers

My scan also didn’t go as I expected.
My tiny dot on the last scan has developed into three larger gestational sacs. But no fetal pole seen in any of them. The sonographer said it was very unusual. I will be going back in another week to check again. But for how far I think I should be by now, it doesn’t look good :(

linerforlife · 12/04/2022 10:51

@AbbiL0u the breathlessness is caused by progesterone. You would think it would only happen later when the baby squashes your lungs but nope, the progesterone causes you to breathe more to get more oxygen in your blood to send to baby in early pregnancy.

GabsK92 · 12/04/2022 11:54

@LS1983 I know nothing I say can possibly ease how you’re feeling now but I am so sorry. My thoughts are with you xx

Feb85 · 12/04/2022 11:59

I am so sorry to hear that @LS1983 take of yourself x

GabsK92 · 12/04/2022 12:00

Anyone here struggling with MH? I’ve got GAD (unmediated atm) and have recently had a missed MC so being in the first trimester is really testing me. I am worried the anxiety is harming the baby but I don’t know what to do other than wait for my early scan which is on Friday. I’m 7+2 and generally feeling rubbish too. Headaches, nausea, complete exhaustion.
Confused

Casper94 · 12/04/2022 12:16

@ls1983 so sorry for your loss, make sure you're taking care of yourself 💐

@rhirhi1988 sorry to hear things didn't go as planned, keeping everything crossed for you 💞

@gabsk92 yes, I'm currently working with my GP to ween down/eventually come off my medication. Currently feeling okay, but incredibly anxious - it's hard to know if it's normal pregnancy anxiety or something more sometimes, isn't it? My GP has advised I speak with the midwife at my booking in appointment to get referred to the MH team for additional support, maybe that's something you could discuss with your doctor too?

xreadytoglow · 12/04/2022 13:31

So sorry to hear your news @LS1983 💔 please take care of yourself.

How worrying @RhiRhi1988 I hope the next scan gives you more clarity and that everything is okay.

I also have a scan later on today. I had some period type pains that woke me not last night but the night before so feeling a bit anxious. I'm 10 weeks today.

Sorry to hear so many of you are feeling rubbish physically and emotionally. It's such a rollercoaster of a journey but will all be worth it for us in the end 💐

Motherofpugs · 12/04/2022 15:28

@GabsK92 I don’t normally struggle with my MH fortunately but this is a pregnancy after loss for me too and my anxiety has been through the roof. I’ve had on and off spotting since 6 weeks and had some more this morning that was more red than brown. It’s so triggering for me from the last time. Anyway, had a scan this afternoon and baby is doing great. No idea what’s causing the spotting but it’s so stressful.

Hopefully your scan will give you some reassurance and all the symptoms are good signs although they suck, I know.

First trimester is so hard isn’t it, all you can do is take it one day at a time.

Feb85 · 12/04/2022 16:11

Wishing you all the best for your scan today @readytoglow

RhiRhi1988 · 12/04/2022 20:28

Thanks @Casper94 @xreadytoglow
Hoping for the best at the next scan but my logical brain can’t help but prepare me for the worst.
Two MC in two months is a lot to deal with, especially if this pregnancy is showing potential triplets.

Hope your scan went well @xreadytoglow

FlowerJ · 12/04/2022 21:19

@LS1983 I am so sorry 😔 Sending you lots of love, look after yourself ❤

@RhiRhi1988 Sorry to hear your scan didn't go as planned. I have my fingers crossed all goes well next week and you have a little more clarity on what's happening.

@GabsK92 Yes a GAD sufferer here too! My anxiety has been so bad since finding out I was pregnant.
