@rickandmorts

Blimey I'm panicking that you guys are all a lot more organised than me?? From the NHS calculator I'm nearly 9 weeks. Not had a booking in appt or early scan or anything. I filled in a form on that pregnancy notes website the other day and I'm waiting to hear back. It was a massive shock to get a positive test last week so I'm still trying to get over that and randomly keep bursting into tears but my DH is being great and supportive. Only thing I've noticed is a bit of tiredness and I can't drink coffee anymore 🤮
Don't worry you're not the only one 🙂 I'm nearly u weeks and haven't booked in yet with midwife, no scans or anything. This is a surprise 3rd for us so we are still getting our heads around it too. I just keep panicking about coping with 3 and finances !
FlowerJ · 06/04/2022 23:32

Sorry @rickandmorts that should have said 7 weeks.

I've had the weirdest headache today. It's been manageable but felt like a weird sinus/pressure headache.

Anyone also have a weird 'tight' feeling across their lower back and lower belly? It's not because of bloating as that's only in the evenings for me, this is constant. Feel like I have a tight rubber ring around me.

Bramblecrumble21 · 07/04/2022 06:41

@rickandmorts I'm 10 weeks tommorrow and have not had a booking appointment or early scan. X

fuckwhatshouldido · 07/04/2022 09:52

8 weeks and not even made contact with anyone yet.
Have been having a fair bit of bleeding last few days though so not sure all is well anyway. Got a scan booked for a bit later today so will hopefully find out what’s going on. I’ve had 3 previous MCs as well as 3 DC so I’m not feeling overly hopeful but we’ll see.

HRHFandango · 07/04/2022 10:06

Feeling considerably better since the worst of covid has passed but have booked an early scan for Sunday to check all is OK in there (will be around 8 weeks).
Still dehydrated and sensitive stomach due to the sickness last week.

GabsK92 · 07/04/2022 11:05

I’m struggling to figure out how many weeks I am. I keep getting different results from different pages. First day of last period is 21st feb and date of conception is 6th March. I have been away on travels from DH since then (unless it’s a divine conception I guess you never know!). But I have a long cycle of 32/33 days so I get DD as everything from 27th nov to 5th December. What is the correct way of calculating??

fuckwhatshouldido · 07/04/2022 11:10

@GabsK92 I think it’s the NHS due date calculator that asks how many days your cycle is…that might be helpful!

Kathno4 · 07/04/2022 11:27

@fuckwhatshouldido best of luck today hope everything goes well will be thinking of you.

Guys I’ve actually found something I can eat without being nauseous after… you know those packet pastas (Tomato and herb, leek etc) I’m literally surviving off them now, that and flavoured water with no fizz 🥲 the joys …. Anyone else sweating soooo much like feel like I’m stinking constantly my poor OH😪🤣

Cheetocat · 07/04/2022 12:32

@Kathno4 I've been sweating too, had a nap with my OH after his night shift yesterday and had to peel myself off the side of him because I was so clammy, pregnancy is really charming! Grin

Hope your scan goes well @fuckwhatshouldido

@FlowerJ I had similar tightening. It was like I'd pulled a muscle or something right across my abdomen. It's gone now though.

fuckwhatshouldido · 07/04/2022 12:55

Scan did not go well so I’ll hop off the thread. Very mixed feelings. All the very best of luck to you all with your November babies ❤️

rickandmorts · 07/04/2022 12:55

Ahh thanks @FlowerJ @Bramblecrumble21, I feel better now. Was panicking that everyone was a lot more organised. Just feel overall very unprepared about the whole thing 🙈

xreadytoglow · 07/04/2022 13:50

So sorry to hear that @fuckwhatshouldido take care of yourself 💐

SonicHg · 07/04/2022 16:21

I’ve had a telephone appointment at 6+3 and will go in for bloods and a scan at 13 weeks pregnant.

Currently always starving but covid has messed up my tastebuds and put me off food. Everything tastes like ketchup gone off. If I could eat anything I’d love a burger

AbbiL0u · 07/04/2022 16:36

So sorry @fuckwhatshouldido, lots of love and positive thoughts to you ❤️

LS1983 · 07/04/2022 16:57

@fuckwhatshouldido omg I'm so sorry 😢 take care. Sending a big hug x

Cruz86 · 07/04/2022 17:41

So sorry @fuckwhatshouldido 😞 It's such a tough thing to go through so make sure you look after yourself xx

Cheetocat · 07/04/2022 18:07

Have any of you already purchased anything for your November baby? I don't know when it would be realistic to start.

OP posts:
smiles39 · 07/04/2022 18:24

@Cheetocat all I’ve bought is little West Ham newborn booties to announce the pregnancy with to my parents next week. I won free tickets to a baby show last weekend so thought why not let’s go. As a first-timer, bloody hell, it was so overwhelming. Didn’t buy anything but gave me a good idea about what’s essential and what can wait a while.

AbbiL0u · 07/04/2022 18:33

@Cheetocat I haven’t bought anything yet with worry of jinxing, but gush at baby clothes every time I see them (although I always have Grin), I can’t wait though! The few people we have told have asked when they can start buying things too, but I’m not sure when it will fail safe enough…

Kathno4 · 07/04/2022 18:46

I’ve bought 1 baby grow, and hat/mitts set, saving things to accounts to buy… but have 2 under 3 already so have much of what we need. Only thing needed is a new pram and cot (which can wait til next year)

Ladymama12 · 07/04/2022 19:27

@fuckwhatshouldido im so sorry. Thanks for saying goodbye to us. You'll be missed. Take care and sending lots of hugs.

OtiMama · 07/04/2022 19:50

@fuckwhatshouldido sorry to hear about your scan, sending you hugs.

@Cheetocat I haven't but this is my second so probably won't need much. First time I think I got some bits from 12 week scan. I feel this time I probably won't until 20 weeks gender scan. If it's a girl i will then go shopping 😂 and if its a boy probably buy nothing as I kept nearly all my sons stuff! I do need to get a double pram but undecided whether to get the bits to make mine double or to get a different brand double.

FlowerJ · 07/04/2022 20:01

@fuckwhatshouldido So sorry to hear your scan didn't go well 😔 I hope you are doing ok and sending you lots of love and baby dust.

I've not bought anything yet, previosuly weve waited until 12 week scan before buying so not to jinx anything. Then waited until gender scan so we knew exactly what to buy.
Tbh we aren't going to need much this time as we have a lot of stuff already and if we don't find out the gender I won't even be able to buy clothes 😂

FlowerJ · 07/04/2022 20:04

Does anyone have any recommendations for shops that have a good range of neutral clothes? I really struggled last time finding neutral baby clothes. Either the selection was shocking or they were gender neutral colours but still in girly styles 🤷‍♀️
