BFPs following IVF to take symptoms & scans

Hi everyone.

I've started this group for us to chat about our symptoms, scans and any other pregancy related issues after getting a BFP following IVF/IUI/ICSI.

It is by no means to leave anyone out of the previous groups we have been in, where we all offer advice and help during an IVF cycle.

We all know hearing people's positive pregancy news can be heart breaking. I just found on the group that we are talking scans, symptoms, signs and positive tests I'm very conscious that those currently mid cycle may get upset.

We can all still give advice but maybe we could use this group as our pregnancies progress.

I've tagged who I remember from the last group, please feel free to add others as they join us on this next phase of our journey or if I have missed anyone.

Hi, hoping I can join this thread. I had my FET 7 days ago. This has been such a journey. How accurate is the clear blue tests with weeks indicator? I've read so much about this. I have tested this am and it says 2-3 weeks but I should be actually 3w4d. And I'm stressing now. I have zero symptoms at well. Just some cramping last night and that was it.

@Whatsmyname100 clear blue said 2-3 weeks for me even at 13 days post transfer. 2-3 weeks means 4-5 weeks according to the packet. So you should only really be getting 3+ weeks after 6 weeks. That’s why I’m not using it again now till I’m 7 weeks as they are not very reliable

Thank you bluehawaii. It does seem to vary. I have my blood test on Friday to confirm. Just hope that it's true. I have zero symptoms, in fact I feel so normal. Just stressed as I have been through this so many, many times before.

@Whatsmyname100 aww yeah it is very very stressful, I still keep waking up and then remembering I’m pregnant and checking my boobs are still sore and running to toilet to check no spotting. It’s crazy but we just have to believe in the possible now

Hope you all doing well ! How far is everybody can I ask ? I am 4 weeks 4 days today ! Tomorrow is my OTD and need to ring my ivf clinic to let them know my results !!!
Any advice on this please -
I am on lubion injections , today is my last lubion injection, do you think I will be getting more of this lubion to carry on in my pregnancy or was this just for the first 2 weeks after trasfer ? I am also on progesterone pessaries 600mg xx

It’s crazy how fast the ivf cycle goes from one failed to another but once you get pregnant the time seems to go in slow motion

@ShareLove hey congrats!! I’m 5 weeks + 2 today and yes time does go much slower. When my cycle failed in December then the new t cycle which started in feb seemed to come so quick and that’s 2 months difference which I would love to fast forward to right now but each day goes so slow! How are you coping with the news x

@Bluehawaii29 hey ! I am over the moon with the news!! I don’t have any symptoms , only tiny bit of cramping once a day , no sore boobs nothing ! But of nausea , maybe in my head haha
I am scared of my first scan , I’m scared that the doctor will find a misscarrige , ectopic or nothing in my uterus .
Once I have been for a scan and seen heartbeat and baby in right place I will relax a lot more . Right now it could easily just be growing in my tubes without me knowing that’s why I really want a scan but not before 6 weeks as there is not much to see before that . I’d love to go at 6+5 then I should see heat beat at least .

@Bluehawaii29 did you start testing early in your tww ? Or at the date given by doctors ? X have you got any pics of what your test looks like now in darkness ?

@ShareLove yeah can imagine very scary waiting for scan. I’m sure it’s not ectopic though. That’s why they position the catheter properly in transfer procedures and it would be extremely rare for something like that to happen so try and think positive x

@ShareLove didn’t test early, day 12 post transfer was when I did my first test and test lines came extremely dark before anything else x

@Bluehawaii29 wow your line is super dark ! Mine is like this today 4weeks 4 days , I hope it gets as dark as your once im 5+2

I started with a new symptom yesterday afternoon.. super sensitive/stinging nipples!! They feel huge even though they're actually very small 😂 I'm having to sit with them out so that my top isn't rubbing on them (TMI) hahah. Good job I'm off on annual leave this week.

7 weeks today and baby is the size of a blueberry 🫐
That's my favourite part, waking up in the morning and checking my app to see what's happening this week.

@ShareLove my scan is booked 13th April. Most clinics make you wait till 8 weeks so they can date you properly, so about 4 weeks after OTD. I also wanted to do scan earlier but don’t think it’s worth it as might make you more anxious if they can’t see it properly

@xreadytoglow aww yeah that’s my fave part too. Mine is currently size of orange seed 😍😍

@xreadytoglow mine are huge now, size 36G maternity bra I had to get. Normally 32E. Was so hard finding right fit

@justawannabemam this is a really thoughtful thread to make. It's quite early days for most of us so it's great to have a thread to talk through these issues.

@xreadytoglow is this your first scan ? I have one on Friday so I think your a day ahead of me. My app says I'm 7 wks +6 days . I had a scan at 6 weeks so they'll check measurements etc.

And I have an appointment at my hospital on 31st for the routines tests .x

@Bryterlayter1 thank you . I just thought if others are still trying and we're talking signs and symptoms it could easily offend. We can all still offer advice and suggestions .x

Hello- do you mind if I join? I wasn't on the ivf thread- it was my third round and I thought I would find it hard seeing others get success on the first try if mine failed again. I got the first BFP of my life last week, but of course the elation immediately turned to more anxiety! I've been obsessively testing and worrying that the lines are not getting darker fast enough, that I seem to have virtually no symptoms, etc. I'm 5w1d today and scheduled my scan as early as I could for Thursday next week, when I'll be 6w3d. I'm so worried something's going to go wrong

Hope the rest of you are doing better than I am!
