17 weeks and I think I'm losing/lost the baby

Had another thread about midwife not finding the heartbeat and how I'm having a scan tomorrow, but I'm having cramps today in my lower back and down my thighs as if I'm about to come on and really sharp pains in my right hand side. I'm convinced I've lost the baby and my body is starting to catch up. I have tried phoning my midwife I don't think she's working today as no answer, I'm too early to go to the ward. What can I do? Or do I have to just sit tight until tomorrow?

I'm so sorry OP. You poor poor thing.

Sadly, the signs aren't great, as you said, but they can't say anymore definitively until the proper scan tomorrow.

It's not the hospital doing anything wrong either - I was in this exact position where only the small mobile scanner was available as it was out of hours & I had to wait until the next day / EPU availability.

Staying in hospital is the right thing to do, especially to manage your pain, and in case your bleeding gets worse.

Take it one step at a time OP. Many of us here have been in your position & send you love & strength. ❤️

I’m so sorry for what’s happening OP. But for what it’s worth you’re definitely doing the right thing staying put in hospital. I miscarried at home at 16 weeks pregnant and having it happen in my own house and with no medical staff present made it all even worse.

I've been through this myself, as so many of us here have, and I am so sorry for the pain, stress and worry. I hope you can get settled at the hospital and you get decent pain relief and maybe something to help you sleep.
