Oh I'd forgotten about the whooping cough jab @feliznavidad2 ergh. A while still for me

With DS i think it was my boobs that gave me away @Juno231 as they got very big very quickly.

Thankfully it's not the same group of people (one is a family wedding, one friends) so I'm
happy to wear the same dress - if it were the same group of friends I think I'd want two!

@Lexber wow that sounds a super productive day and like you're almost there 🙌🏼 I've bought blinds and curtains this weekend and regretting deciding when we extended to have 2 windows in that bedroom as it's cost a small fortune.

@Minster2012 I'm also on the same page as you with the getting up from anywhere with sound effects. Rolling over in bed is the worst but I've been quite lucky so far, I manage to fall asleep on one side and apart from needing a wee don't stir. Hahah on the MIL thinking she can squeeze info out of DH. I'm not sure why people think they have a right to know.

@Juno231 I think some women just know, like they have a 6th sense and can just tell so I wouldn't take it as an insult 😆

@feliznavidad2 names are so so hard! Our families on both sides have some kind of obsession with naming relatives within middle names etc (usually after deceased relatives) that's fine but it's just not our thing and everyone was in shock when DDs middle name wasn't my late mums name 🙄 DH loves the name Jude for a boy and I really like it but it's my nans shortened name so dilemma 😆 DH has also come out with some outlandish names I'd never expect. I'm back to work tomorrow too after a week off 😭

I can't remember who said but I find the new look jeans mat jeans pretty good fit, mine are from last time and still very good!

@becarefuloutthere congratulations!! So so glad she's here and well and you're doing well too!! She's beautiful💗

@Minster2012 wooo for the third trimester!! Also I saw all that booze!! Crazy!! You definitely deserve a few days rest though after all the guests, I bet you're shattered!!

@paintfairy a couple of my friends suggested from pelvic girdle pain during their pregnancy and it was especially sore when they were walking! It could be that? Not sure if that's something that can happen further on but suppose every pregnancy is different!!

@Minster2012 you are small but every bump and pregnancy is different and your baby girl is thriving so I wouldn't worry at all!! You're definitely one of the lucky ones!! Definitely try and blag a chair at the gig😂

@Juno231 omg😂😂 id have been mortified someone grabbing my belly😂 also I looked more pregnant early on just with bloat than I actually do now with a bump!! The bloat is crazy isn't it!!

Sorry I've been quiet we've been looking at house and baby things! We went shopping yesterday and found a sofa and a mattress so just need to make another viewing for the house so we can measure up before we buy them! Found a lovely console table too and mirror for the hallway so I'm going to order them today, also to celebrate being 18 weeks today I just ordered a dockatot, something I can tick off my list at least!!

So OH took me for a surprise date night last night, didn't tell me where or what it was, anyway it was a Korean restaurant and possibly up there with the best food I've ever tasted!! The starters were like tapas and you could order as you as you wanted then you got 1 main and it was delightful!!

@Juno231 I hate booking anything for middle of the day as it feels like you've no time to do anything else. And as if you have no bump! Clearly it doesn't look like bloat either. 🤣 The jeans are a bloody nightmare. DP ones fit me best @larrythelizard @feliznavidad2 but they just have nothing holding them up? I don't see how they are ever meant to stay there?
I've been nosing on vinted for things. I can make do for a while I'm just worried there'll come a day when suddenly nothing fits and I can't go out. 🤣
Yeah my boobs are an issue too @Minster2012 which means any non roomy tops are a bit snug. As for names- I just lie. I would say we hadn't picked one even if we did. To avoid the whole issue. I can't be arsed with people. We are still no closer to names though @Lexber either. And anything I like doesn't work with our name. I love what @becarefuloutthere has chosen but with our surname it would be ridiculous. So it rules out more than I ever realised. 🙄 Its not even a weird name. My maiden name would have worked with anything.
@Vil10 no idea what it is. Its my thighs and hip joint muscles. Annoying. Its probably normal. Spontaneous date night is always good!

Another groaner here. I've taken to rolling off the sofa to get up. Not because of the bump but just everything else hurting. I'm not sleeping well. I was so anxious last night and it annoys me as I can't make it go away as I'm not really sure what the cause is? Frustrating. The good news is we should have a carpet today and I can sleep back in our room in our KS bed tonight hopefully. I've also had trapped wind since last night and god it's annoying. Its both ends really and reminds me of the beginning! 😡 Just bloated and awful.

@bez91 I'm still rubbish at side 😴 sleeping. And I HATE having to get up for a wee EVERY SINGLE night. My BIL & another SIL always do the naming middle names after relatives, so it was kind of expected for us, however we are like you, not fussed at all & neither are my family so we went with something we chose instead. Doesn't matter what other ppl think 🧐

Also looking at some fabric for a blind for baby's room. We aren't decorating but it has stone brown coloured blackout curtains so I want something a bit nice to at least make us smile a bit & feel "new" what do you think of this fabric?

On another whinge ladies, I put on my one fitting underwired bra yesterday. Shouldn't have. It actually rubbed me raw on my skin I have 2 sore itchy red patches under my boobs?! Showed DH & he was like oh yeah don't wear that again. I'm just a big whinge pot atm 😂

She's 4 months next week 🙈 time is flying by but at the same time I'm enjoying her little quirks as she seems like an actual person now haha. Just very hard work!

@Minster2012 yes! She's playing up with her sleep now (bloody regression!) and all of a sudden has started to refuse the bottle 😭 I don't mind but it just means I don't get a break when I need it. I hope it's just a phase 🤞🏼

@bez91 yea it's the whole do we're invited to. It's about 2hours away so we booked the hotel etc last year when I knew I was pregnant but wasn't actually expecting it to stick given the history so didn't think anything of it. The closer its gotten I hadn't given much thought to an outfit either as I was thinking I'd be in hospital by then (its my cousin and they know the history so understand) but the closer we're getting I'm now realising I might just actually be able to go to this wedding and enjoy myself but now on panic mode about the outfit 😂

@minster2012 definitely take a small bump as a win, means less work at the other end to get back into shape! My friend had the tiniest little bump ever her whole pregnancy, but baby was a perfect weight (think she was around 7.5lbs), it just depends on babys position and how your body carries it so definitely take it as a win and love your little bump 😊

@larrythelizard 28 weeks on Thursday and surprisingly its flown by, I remember feeling like I was pregnant forever with DS, this time round I'm like oh shit only 9 weeks till eviction time! But also so pleased to have reached this far without (touch wood) things going wrong. Have weekly monitoring at the hospital as of next week so hopefully little missy will be allowed to stay where she is for as long as possible 😁
Did you cave and get a custom canopy? You'll need to let us see it if you do.

@lexber sounds like a productive IKEA trip, it'll be exciting once you've got it all in the nursery and it all comes together 😊

@vil10 yeay for surprise date night, I need to tell DH to up his game we haven't had a surprise date night in a looooooong time, tho that is in part to having to arrange childcare so it's not much a surprise 😂

Last year I went all out with DS, with a picking plate of fruit & stuff. this year I only realised today & could only get eggs so we are going boring & most likely honey/lemon or I have orange juice & sugar on mine or maybe Nutella

Seriously people- trapped wind! What can I do?! Its both ends. And I've not had this since the beginning? Its driving me crackers as I've had it since yesterday. 😫
What is also driving me crackers is next doors new puppy. Which i didn't know existed until yesterday when they went out and didn't come home until 1.40pm. How do I know? Because it proceeded to scream its head off the whole entire time. Today its been doing it since 3pm and I'm about ready to throttle it. Having said that- I know it's not its fault that it belongs to utter morons. They did briefly have a spaniel puppy once which they gave away. Similar scenario. It also wrecked everything because they didn't train it or walk it or actually put any effort into anything. 🙄 Clearly haven't learned from that......

@Minster2012 what's on the walls? Only then can you tell about the blind? Agree about the bras, and the wees. Aarrgghh how did I not know about pancake day!? 🤦‍♀️ DH actually asked me not long ago when it was and I remember thinking I dunno, sometime in February and I haven't acknowledged that February has passed me by!

@paintfairy haha tbh my friends who have boys are struggling with the sleep wayyyy more than me so be careful what you wish for!

Just to stick up for the boys... little Matthew is fine with sleep so far. Ok he won't go to sleep in his crib at all at night 😂 but he falls asleep on me when I'm breastfeeding and then I move him into his crib. I then have to wake him during the night for feeds. If I didn't he'd sleep from midnight-8am without waking. Any tips for getting him to go down in his crib in the first place is welcome though! Also the good long night sleep leads to awake almost the entire day 😅 swings and roundabouts

@bez91 @Minster2012 we keep saying we don't know but we have decided on middle names and we've both chosen family names - our boy after my dad who passed away and OH dad as this will be his only namesake, and our girl after my mums mum who passed away when I was young and my stepdads mum who I was close with who passed away April 2020 during lockdown.
My older girls aren't named after anyone and there was no pressure to but this time we both wanted to honour family members who mean something (I'm named after my aunt and great grandma)

So all those tampons I was holding onto for months... a local transport firm are travelling to the Polish-Ukrainian border with care package donations so I've put some bits together tampons included which feels like a bit of anxiety quashing 👍🏼

@bez91 yes it's weird I always preferred to be wearing a bra too, supported, now I'm like "I need to free them" asap!! That's such a good idea on the tampons, I shall seek that out too

@2020mission working on the theories we used before you need to crack out of the feeding to sleep bit before the "putting down awake" as they are 2 big things so pointless trying both at once.

So I got lost in a baby monitor rabbit hole last night. @paintfairy have fun with that one 😂😂
