Also had the realisation today I REALLY need to start looking through our stuff before I start waddling & working out what i need 😂can't believe you are already sorted at less than 20 weeks @SWAttempting im totally in denial about needing to get sorted 🤪

@Minster2012 yes darling although I've said it opposite way round 🤣 warm increases blood flow to the area, give your injection then cold after stab reduces chances of erythema to the site :) maybe try it sometime to see if it eases?
@becarefuloutthere loving the colour of your nails! Hopefully you have a speedy dilation ready for midnight, you never know! She’s just around the corner now 🥺💖❤️

@larrythelizard don’t worry I take my hat off you still continuing exercise! I’ve not done any since pre baby only dog walks & working on the wards where I do between 13k-15k steps a shift 🙈 back on 13 hour day shift for next 3 I’ll be bringing match sticks to help keep my eyes open from the body clock switch 🥱

@Minster2012 my midwife tried her best bless her with the 3 sweeps but baby girl is comfy in there. She didn't read my eviction notice on insta clearly 😂
You're exactly right, I will just care that she's here and well and it's only a matter of days now too, eek 😬 aww thank you 😊 I thought pinkish for a girl 👧🏽 I'm glad you had a nice day and you're making mum friends that's great 😃

Oh but DS came at 33 weeks. Plus. I want to have it all sorted before the 22/24 viability mark. I also wanted to have it all sorted before I'm a whale and chasing around a 15 month old. Can't imagine anything worse than changing around a 15 month old like a whale and needing to do washing etc. etc. @Minster2012 😂

@SWAttempting yes I guess DS coming earlier would make you want it done sooner, knowing lots of losses around here it's a scary prospect for a few of us so I think a lot of us leave being that organised a lot later 😂I've got my box of newborn & 0/3 stuff there, in the study, once drawers are sorted I'll move them 😜I am starting to buy the other bits though to spread cost

@feliznavidad2 this ‘lady’ was asking for advice, for 2 years she’s been trying to get the council to remove the neighbours dogs, because they shouldn’t leave in residential areas and she doesn’t want her kids living near dogs, somebody advised her to buy a deterrent spray from Amazon, everyone else told her she’s nuts

@paintfairy I'm 28+4 today. Funnily enough I was doing yoga with DD on Monday and it said to get into a downward dog position which I was like F that, not feasible... looks like I might need to 😆 yes basically it's to stop the umbilical cord falling out your vag 😂. If you watched "This is going to hurt" that we were taking about a couple of weeks ago, just that in the first episode 😂

@larrythelizard blood pressure definitely ok, it's always quite low. I'm not surprised you're tired lady pulling out PBs at the gym!

@2020mission thankyou ❤️ that's reassuring after my wobble yesterday. I feel a bit like I should take it easy but also try and get some exercise done to encourage baby to move from their awkward position 😬

@becarefuloutthere love the nails 😍 I'm not usually a pink person but I love that shade! Not long for things to start get going if it's Friday then 😊

@Minster2012 I wonder if there have been excessive flying screws due to all the fences blown over. Very irritating! She sounds a good mum friend to have. I have a couple of friends I have met through DDs friends and it's nice when they're your cup of tea!

@becarefuloutthere at least you have the induction booked and you know the end is in sight, little sulk completely normal (DS was 11 days late so I was very sulky!)

Sounds fab @feliznavidad2 I've been trying to sort something for DH's birthday in a couple of weeks but left it a bit late and lots of things are already booked!

I'm not organised enough to have lists @Minster2012 but i did buy the little girl's outfit I had my eye on in Tesco yesterday which may be foolish as obv I'm team yellow...just as well there seems to be loads of baby girls coming!

@larrythelizard is it a cloud Z @Minster2012 that's interesting, I'm not sure why they wouldn't leave them in the car for that! But I think the joie looks to be one of the best support for new babies. Whether it fits in the car I've no idea. The cloud Z looks to be the best of both worlds but they literally are a million quid with the base as well. I didn't realise toddler seats were also just as awkward. Jeez. I don't think they can demand to check the seat at the hospital- if its attached in the car then they'll have to come look if they are that bothered. I have watched the first MAFS!

@2020mission @bez91 prolapsed cord? God. Is that directly related to too much fluid? I knew it could happen but not why. Although round here you'll be waiting at least 8 hours for an ambulance so unless you can downward dog for a very long time or somehow get in the car like it, you'd be struggling!
@Franklydear I hate it when that's get deleted. I was invested in one the other day and really wanted to know the answer and it got deleted! But basically the sons friend stayed over, wasn't collected and his mum had vanished.

So far I've bought:
3 sleeping bags, 2 long sleeves vests (neutral), snuzpod, snuzcloud, accidental pram. That is it. I cannot think of anything worse than having to get rid of loads of stuff if it all goes wrong, which seems pessimistic, but I just don't want to deal with that. So I'll carry on getting things very slowly i think? No mad plans on clothes though in case the scan is wrong. 🤣 I'll get basics for starting and then buy more later. Plus people buy you things. I also need to think about other stuff that I haven't (stuff for me, hospital bag, baby changing bag etc). I also need some kind of nursing bras and tops don't I? Gah.
@larrythelizard a baby girl outfit. 🤣 But yeah, plenty of girls about. Interestingly (or worryingly even) I'm on an ivf mn post and also another group for babies born about the same time as mine. And these are all getting scans about now and they are all girls? 🤔 To the point it seems physically not possible? 🤷‍♀️ So either the scans are wrong or men are exiting the world......

I think that seems fair enough @paintfairy on the buying things slowly. I need to concentrate more as heading into the third trimester 😂I'm not planning on buying any nursing tops as I think you can wear vests & jumpers & it depends on weather I think so I'm gonna leave that til she arrives. Interesting that MN is slowly killing the men off, who'd thought 😂our car seat is a cozy n safe merlin. Im going to ask my midwife about the leaving hospital car seat thing, it was def a thing I think

One question I do have- do people wash baby clothes in something different? Like non bio or whatever?

I think as long as you have a safe way to get baby home @Minster2012 it shouldn't matter? You could take a sling/baby carrier/even pram to get baby to the car?

@paintfairy hmm I think it's the sirona but a few years old now. Latest one to go in is a Joie. Such a ballache!

In my NCT group with DS, there were 6 boys and 2 girls so it works the other way too!

@paintfairy accidental pram makes me laugh. I can't blame your OH being panicked when you told him you were pregnant - after all the dining table needed clearing 🤣🤣

@SWAttempting Christ on a stick! Are you not a teeny bit worried your 20 week scan will tell you it's a boy 😁. Jealous all your drawers for nappy changing are even set up!

Had 5 builders over last week to have a look at the house, hopefully quotes will be coming in soon. If we skip the loft conversion for now we're hopeful that we could get the house sorted before baby is here.

Got a midwife next Thursday but don't think I'll get to hear the heartbeat, so I asked OH if I should book a private scan in to break up the 9 week wait. He was very keen so that's now been scheduled for 5th March.

No bump yet, not much to report at all from a pregnancy pov. Definitely think I've been putting on a pound a week though 🙈

@becarefuloutthere love your nails! Can't remember the nursery though as I still struggle to keep track of who is who on insta 😅. Are we thinking this could be a March baby if you're only 1,5cm then?

@kaylsd ooh and I LOVED your announcement. If you don't mind I might reuse some of your wording for mine as I've been struggling to convey the struggles in a tactful way. Saying that - I don't know if OH will let me! He's had a couple of his male friends ask him how long it took and his response has been "oh just a couple of months" 🙄🙄🙄.

@paintfairy maybe it is the end of males 🙈 it's usually a combination of things that increases chance of prolapsed cord, increased fluid alone doesn't necessarily mean more chance. In my case they said that accompanied by the fact baby is arse down so more room I suppose for it to slip past. You seem pretty organised, I don't think you need to go mad! I have about 5 outfits as did DD and she's still alive 👍🏼

@Juno231 I can just about manage downward dog I just feel like I'm squashing baby 😆 I do feel anxious, had a bit of a meltdown yesterday. Just a waiting game. Had the other set of bloods this morning to rule out gestational diabetes. I'd be annoyed if so, not high risk group and I've got afternoon tea booked with my friend for Friday.
Feeling really off it today and fatigued, so going to have an afternoon on the sofa, not sure if that's because they've taken so much blood this week but I can't put my finger on it. Glad DH agreed to another scan, why do men do that grrrrr I've said before it's as if they think its a nod that they're a 'top shagger' or something 🤦🏼‍♀️
