Yeah DS also a grunty snory baby @Kate105 so shipped him out!

Thanks for all the PB congrats, can't believe I can get 100kg off the floor!!!

I could fully imagine you with a sledgehammer @Minster2012 perhaps after baby is here though...?! Hopefully all of the magnesium stuff helps.

I don't think I'd have chosen to go away at 33w pregnant @Minster2012 but it was already booked so seems rude not to!

OP posts:
paintfairy · 21/02/2022 18:43

@Juno231 did you snigger at the yoga references? I would have. Every time... 🤣 Yeah go try a pram! I haven't looked at the bee but I assume it's just a more user friendly version for around town? I did like the bugaboo in the shop. Vista would have been my second pick but not many come up 2nd hand (v2).
@kaylsd @Vil10 yeah, I'm not sure much tanning would be going on? You are meant to wear sun block and stay out of the sun? 🤣 However, a holiday sounds amazing and if I could wangle one abroad I would. My friends went to Croatia and it did look lovely, I've never been myself.
@becarefuloutthere drat on her being too comfy!
@Kate105 ahhh, there was I thinking you were having a glorious night's sleep away from TSD, and the birds were singing in the morning. 🤭
@Minster2012 MAFS tonight! And yeah, buying a pram is terrifying. Seems excessive. 🤣 I still keep having very strange dreams too, I just don't know what to think about this whole thing.
As for the BFP on the bus, I was feeling quite nervous about it coming up, and it wasn't even mine! 🤣🤣🤣 I was very relieved this morning. Its strange being excited for people you've never met.
@larrythelizard yeah who would refuse a holiday? Not me. Madness.

Vil10 · 21/02/2022 18:59

@paintfairy hahahah some can look terrifying can't they!! I didn't expect them to actually do one either!! So I didn't know you actually had to stay out of the sun completely?? I knew about being sensitive to the sun but so many of my friends have been away to hot countries when pregnant and we went on a family holiday and my cousin was 32 weeks pregnant, in Spain in august and she sunbathed as normal just sat in the shade when she got too hot and put more cream on! Wooo for a pram!! I still need to fully decide what I want, suppose I have time though

@kaylsd everyone has been saying team pink for me!! So glad your tests came back at low risk, and loveddd the announcement, very cute!!

@Juno231 I read that about the sea!! I do like a little paddle in the sea and walking through it, but a fan of a proper swim but for walking through I'll take the shoes!! Yess I'll definitely be putting a high factor on more often!! Strangely I get fanny flutters when doing the pelvic floors??😂 like a clitoral tickle it seems😂😂

@bez91 ooo breakfast out before scan sounds lovely!! I haven't been to Portugal for years but we always went for family holidays when I was younger! Definitely some side bathing! Frozen penis oh my god😂😂

@larrythelizard ohhh I didn't even think of that!! I'm sure you'll find one though and will be lovely to get away!! Definitely don't refuse a holiday!!

@becarefuloutthere Keeping everything crossed for her to make an appearance tomorrow!!

@Minster2012 im glad you've said it's a good time as I wouldn't know how big I'd have been at that point, thinking holiday clothes are going to be difficult!! I'll definitely be putting more cream in, maybe spending a little bit in the shade but I'm a sun worshipper so maybe half my body in the shade and half out with factor 50 on😂 hopefully your list of things helps!!

Minster2012 · 21/02/2022 19:16

Don't worry @larrythelizard it's def sledgehammer time after the baby is here, get them used to noise yeah??? 100kg bloody hell 😳you are super strong!! Of course not turn down a booked holiday. That would be madness 😜

@paintfairy yes I was like that about the BFP, we do care about each other that's the great thing 🥰so what else are you browsing on eBay & marketplace?? OMG I forgot about MAFS!!

@Vil10 a lot of my clothes are not maternity ones still so I'm thinking just going up a size or two from normal would be fine for a lot of things, all my vests are my usual ones, & especially dresses should be ok which would be my go to if I were going away atm. I was wearing a size 12 normal swimsuit on sat, I'm usually a 10 (but granted a "sports" one so no boob padding as I couldn't get my boobs into anything else!) so I think you'll be fine with lots of stuff 🥰

DKDK123 · 21/02/2022 20:59

@minster2012 thanks for checking in, I'm still hanging in there, just haven't been on much as have reached the moany, teary, feeling really big and fed up stage of pregnancy seriously don't know how there's space for another 11 weeks of growing but feeling so hormonal and shitty these days! But I do keep giving myself a reality check and reminding myself of the journey I've had just to reach this stage and how lucky I am to be pregnant and to have evaded hospital so far. 💕

SWAttempting · 22/02/2022 07:00

Right so life update!

I know I go AWOL and I don't post much but we've had it rough.

DS has had a bilateral ear infection. I have horrid side affects from the whooping cough vaccine in the form of D&V for 6 days which meant constant trips in and out of hospital. OH has had Covid.

But the Nursery is finished. DD hospital bag is done. All the washing is done & put away. DD wardrobe is full from tiny baby to 12 months clothes. Nappy Caddy is done. Toy storage is sorted for both DD & DS!

We've had renovations of kitchen floor, internal doors, electrics etc. so it's been chaos while been poorly!

Now his 18+3!

Have another scan a week Wednesday for my cervix and then my 20 week scan soon too.

How are you all? How are you @Juno231?

@DKDK123 you are doing amazing don't forget that, I can't imagine how scary it is but you are doing so fab AND growing a human with no problems so far and that's what matters 🥰

@SWAttempting wow that sounds intense & you have got soooo much done!! I've done none of that 😜 need to think about doing stuff!! Nursery looks lovely 😊

@bez91 good luck today with the growth scan & have a lovely breakfast

Just trying to watch a bit of MAFS whilst we are eating breakfast, def Wong get to watch it all but talk about doing a huge build up 😝😆

Minster2012 · 22/02/2022 08:56

@becarefuloutthere CONE ON BABY IRS YOUR SPECIAL DAY 😜😜😜

bez91 · 22/02/2022 09:42

@larrythelizard @Kate105 that's one thing that surprised me becoming a mum how bloody noisy they can be all night grunting etc, DD literally sounded like we were sleeping in a farmyard

@kaylsd your IG post 😭 so lovely 🥰

@Minster2012 "breakfast" didn't really happen as a lot of places don't open until 9am so a croissant from costa it was 😂 waiting to go in for the scan now, they have something new where you click a link when you arrive at the hospital (before you leave your car) and can't go in until they text you. Great but by that point we had to park about a mile away and got piss wet through 😂

@SWAttempting very organised. I have about 10 outfits so the wardrobe is bare which will do just fine until we know if boy or girl

I feel like I want to say push @becarefuloutthere 😂 come on baby 👶

Vil10 · 22/02/2022 09:57

@Minster2012 I'm the same! I haven't bought any maternity stuff, I find majority of it is rank, I've just bought a few dresses in a size up! Wish I couldn't get my boobs into it😂😂 a lot of my holiday night time clothes probably won't fit me, like fitted dresses and skirts so I'm just going to buy floaty stuff in a size up I think! And hopefully all my bikinis will still fit as obviously they won't be going round my belly, so shouldn't need to buy much need stuff!

@SWAttempting you have had a hectic time!! However I cannot believe how organised you are!! I'm only a week behind you and literally have nothing😂 a few little bits of clothes, rocker, bath support, but that's about it apart from small things, should I be getting a move on🙄😂 nursery looks lovely!!

@becarefuloutthere come on baby!!!

becarefuloutthere · 22/02/2022 10:03

Haha you're all so sweet trying to encourage her out on her due date 😄 she's like her mama though...always running late! Will let you know the latest after the 3rd and final sweep this afternoon. At least I get to get my nails done today! I totally mistimed them so there's one silver lining! 😅
Good to see everyone still well 😘

paintfairy · 22/02/2022 11:17

@Vil10 honestly I'm traumatised for life. 🤣 They look weird enough at 30 odd weeks but no one needs to be seeing it that early. My skin is already terrible with brown spots (always out with the horses and just forget to put cream on my face) so I wouldn't risk sun at all I don't think. And I need to remember to even put cream on here when it gets warmer. I'm useless.
And I agree about the maternity clothes! Terrible. I'm hoping I'll get away with buying bigger sizes too @Minster2012 or just managing. We shall see. DH has some weird obsession about me getting dungarees. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Erm no. I'm currently keeping an eye out for a moses basket for downstairs. Also some kind of bouncer chair thing. I'll likely get a clothes bundle too but I'm wary of buying shed loads of stuff in case the gender scan isn't correct. I'm hoping they confirm at my 20 week scan but even then I'll not be convinced. 🤣 Anything I buy new I'll maybe go neutral ish and wasnt planning on buying tonnes anyway. Just what I'll need the first few weeks. I'll get more after. Knowing baby size and weather changes etc makes it hard to predict really. I'll also get nursery furniture second hand likely but I've nowhere to put that until we have sorted bedrooms out and we are back in ours. Hopefully after next week. Not watched MAFS yet.
@kaylsd your insta made me cry. 🤣
@bez91 yeah piss wet through sounds great! 🙄 Hope it goes well otherwise though!
@becarefuloutthere 🤣 fashionably late. Oh well......

I know we've mentioned this before but the minefield that is car seats? I only really liked properly yesterday. Why can't all seats go in all cars? 🧐 Ludicrous idea. We don't even have a car yet. 🤣 I mean we do, but we are planning on getting a new one before the baby comes (DHs is too small and i have a truck). I also hadn't realised the 360 ones mostly aren't great from birth and neither do they come out of the car. Why is everything so complicated?

bez91 · 22/02/2022 12:16

@becarefuloutthere ooh she'll definitely be late if you're like that 😂 good luck with the sweep!

@paintfairy oh yes the 360 car seats are a definite permanent fixture and bloody heavy. They can also be a pain if one of you is really tall and it is rear facing behind whoever is the tall ones seat if your car is small-average size

Growth scan wasn't the best the conclusion is I've got excess amniotic fluid which is putting the baby on the 97th centile but in theory they’re on the 50th with their predicted weight which is ironic having had DD who they said was SGA. I’ve got everything in my urine that shouldn’t be 🤦🏼‍♀️, the baby is breach and arse down, they were concerned about blood flow through the cord but having checked it again it seems ok. They commented I’m at risk of cord prolapse with the excess fluid and babies position so I’m now being monitored every week between the midwife and hospital🤦🏼‍♀️ they’ve taken 6 sets of bloods to rule any infection out, the good news is my blood pressure is ok 😂

DKDK123 · 22/02/2022 12:19

@swattempting sounds like a rough ride lately but very productive too on the baby front!

@Minster2012 thanks, that's so sweet of you to say and made me tear up (damn hormones 🙈)

@becarefuloutthere no pressure but if today's sweep does get things moving you have until midnight to push hard make sure baby has the awesome birthdate 🤣

@paintfairy car seats are definitely a minefield, I remember spending days researching them for DS not realising just how different they could all be and how they can be tested to different specs! We had the one that clips onto his pram and can be lifted in and out the car for the first few months then switched to the joie 360. 100% recommend a 360, especially once they get bigger and start to refuse the car seat and you need to wrestle them in, it's a new skill set you'll learn 😂

Well I caved and phoned the midwife this morn as I'm still feeling quite shitty and have a headache that hasn't shifted for a few days, she said given my history of severe pre eclampsia I was to phone triage and go to the hospital for tests there incase they need to admit me. Spent 30mins on hold to triage (they must be very busy today, so glad I wasnt bleeding waiting that time to speak to someone!) for them to say it's very rare for pre e signs this early on so I wasn't to go in for tests just take more paracetamol and rest 🙄 I did explain it was the midwife who told me to go for tests to be on the safe side with my history, that I was in and out of hospital being admitted with complications from 24 weeks last time and that in less than 2 weeks time the consultant has me on weekly monitoring and tests for that reason, but apparently nope no need to be seen today just take more painkillers and rest. I mean I really don't think it is pre e yet either, I think its just general pregnancy shittyness taking its toll but when you've got the midwife and consultant hammering down your throat how high risk you are and to report anything asap then triage making you feel like you're wasting their time that they won't even see you to run some simple tests to be on the safe side, it's so frustrating! Silver lining is at least I have the afternoon off work from it so now lying on the sofa watching MAFS.

2020mission · 22/02/2022 12:25

Popped on hoping to hear @becarefuloutthere is in labour 😅 there's still time!

@bez91 how much excess fluid have you got? I had polyhydramnios (AFV around 12cm) and had been warned about similar risks and was told to get into a downward dog position if my waters broke and call an ambulance. It was actually all ok in the end when my waters broke and no one rushed me into that position or anything... maybe because I was already in hospital when it happened though so could be seen to straight away if I had any of those complications. Just wanted to say all was well anyway so if you read up on anything don't scare yourself. It was quite a flood and mess when the waters went right enough! 😂

DKDK123 · 22/02/2022 12:54

@bez91 just saw your update......can't believe after all that news your blood pressure is still OK 🙈😂 Glad they're going to be monitoring you closely moving forward.

kaylsd · 22/02/2022 13:09

@becarefuloutthere what a fabulous date today if the little one comes, cmon we are all waiting to see you 🥺❤️❤️❤️
@minster2012 does cold hot compression help on your sites? Thank you for reminding me about MAFS, was it worth the watch? Thank you for the well wish with the announcement, you can see the shock in DH face 🤣🤣🤣❤️
@paintfairy I never realised you can’t sit out in the sun 🙈 I thought you could do it in short intervals with high factor and cover bump? My closest holiday this year is Skegness with the dog & tattershall lakes in November again so I doubt I’ll be getting much of a tan anyhow 🤣🙈 thank you for the well wishes with the announcement I ugly cry every time I watch it ❤️❤️❤️
@vil10 27 weeks is a perfect time to go away to squeeze a last min baby moon in, you could even return once the babies here and say the last time you was here you was in my tummy 🥺😍 thank you about the announcement sweet! ❤️
@swattempting your nursery looks lovely! Loving the organisation ❤️ sounds like you’ve had a busy few weeks
@bez91 thank you for the well wishes about the announcement 🥺❤️❤️

Just a mini check in ladies, I feel really tired today 🥱 thank you to everyone who saw my announcement on social media last night, every time I watch the video I either ugly cry or just normal cry as it brings back so many emotions how we felt when we first found out 🥺 we’ve been sent to many well wishes and I’ve had so many people inbox me who I never even realised who went through infertility issues or ivf for the their little ones since I was transparent on my post which has surprised me but achieved exactly what I wanted for people to talk about it 🥺❤️❤️

bez91 · 22/02/2022 13:10

@DKDK123 that's crappy, there must be something in your notes. Definitely push them if you don't start to feel any better by the end of the day!

@2020mission it says about the fluid "deepest pool 8.8cm" rescan in 2 weeks to determine best course of action. Did you get put on bed rest? Hopefully baby will move into a better position 🙈

Hospital also just rang me to go in again tomorrow for a glucose test so need to fast, hadn't needed to have it before as not higher risk for gestational diabetes. Also why does it never rain but it pours 😂 nail in tyre this morning, had to call emergency locksmith out to the front door and the little box that attaches to the house from the telegraph pole has blown off so all the wires are exposed, we still have internet for now 😬 now to ring BT. Literally everytime you have a bit of annual leave 🤦🏼‍♀️

paintfairy · 22/02/2022 13:14

@bez91 oh god. How many weeks are you again? Aren't they just full of positive news! I do wonder how many people actually manage to get through it all without being scared to death? Fingers crossed your tests are all OK.
@DKDK123 yes I can see the 360s will be useful later on. So I'm thinking maybe just a normal one for now.
@2020mission what would a downward dog position do? I'm glad it was all fine in the end then!

larrythelizard · 22/02/2022 13:42

I'm just disappointed your medical team haven't considered how cool a DOB it would be today and induced you yesterday afternoon/crack of dawn today @becarefuloutthere!

Deffo better that they get used to noise @Minster2012. How were the legs last night?

@DKDK123 you're doing an incredible job. How frustrating with triage, have they told you to ring back again if headache doesn't shift? Sounds a blissful afternoon off, make sure you drink plenty of fluids

Wow all going on for you @SWAttempting! Nursery looks great, love the wardrobe too!

If you can get a spinny one that goes up to category 3 @paintfairy then deffo do that, we're now having to buy yet another one as DS nearly out of his spinny one but I still want him in a 5 point harness so despite being the size of a child OK to be in a high backed booster with the normal seatbelt we've spent another £200 on one! Also FYI I can't remember if the car seat adaptors come from bugaboo or maxicosi but you need two annoying plastic pieces to attach the car seat to the pram.

Bloody hell @bez91 that is a lot! Sure your blood pressure is OK?! At least they know about it and are monitoring you right? Even if it is a pain! Lots of time for baby to turn still?

I'm permanently tired @kaylsd don't know how you're coping with growing a baby and working nights!

OP posts:
paintfairy · 22/02/2022 13:49

@larrythelizard I wasn't particularly worried about attaching the car seat to the pram, as they can't sit long in them anyway? I've seen those adaptor things second hand though.
@kaylsd he does look shocked. Mine looked more horrified i would say, so it's a good job I didn't film that. 🤭

2020mission · 22/02/2022 15:06

@bez91 I didn't get put on bed rest in fact they left me for 5 weeks between scans they were pretty terrible! Thankfully I was fine. I've attached a measurement table to show how borderline your measurement is so definitely don't worry yourself!

@paintfairy it's to prevent a cord prolapse 😬

larrythelizard · 22/02/2022 15:14

If you're not worried about getting the car seat in and out of the car then you may as well go with a spinny one from the off @paintfairy - we have a cybex one and is a 0/1 so suitable from birth.

OP posts:
becarefuloutthere · 22/02/2022 17:02

Sorry for not tagging but feeling deflated which I know is silly as it's only a date but I wanted it so badly 🤪 still only 1cm too so god knows when she'll come. Induction is scheduled for Friday though so at least I know by the weekend she'll be here! Was able to get my nails done today tho 😃

Catching up after a day offline...

@Vil10 yep you'll be fine don't worry!

@paintfairy yes the seats are a nightmare (& it doesn't get easier, do you remember me whinging about finding a toddler seat a few weeks ago?!) if you don't want it on pram def go 360 swivel but most are hard to remove. Ours we don't take out & we used from birth. HOWEVER at soft play on Sunday there were 2 joie 360 swivel seats in the entrance so I guess those are easier to come out?? ALSO is it still a thing where you have to leave the hospital with a child in a removable car seat if leaving in a car?? I know you can take away in a pram of going on foot/taxi etc but I think it was a thing??? We borrowed a removable car seat & isofix for that reason for first journey but then literally he was in our cozy n safe merlin which is 0/1/2/3 (Best Buy ever) from the next day. WATCH MAFS!!

@becarefuloutthere tbh I'd be upset about the date too (& also wondering like @larrythelizard that your medical team should have considered the cool birthday factor) but you won't remember the frustration in 6 months after she arrives & least you'll have a day to focus on too. That colour looks great on you 😍

@bez91 errr yeah that doesn't sound ideal (except the blood pressure til they told you!) what do they need to do to monitor you? Ahhh just noticed your update, and omg I got a screw in my tyre yesterday too so was scrabbling on the floor by tyre...that's my second new tyre in 3 weeks 😣I bloody HATE days like that with the internet etc

Hmmm yeah @DKDK123 I'm def with you on the wouldn't it be better safe than sorry with the testing?? But hope you had a better afternoon

@kaylsd cold hot compression I've not tried? So do I do cold & hot then stab?? It's lovely many ppl have messaged you about struggles, I def think it should be talked about more

@larrythelizard and anyone else who helped with the legs yesterday, last night my legs were better!! Thank you! So I'm gonna be keeping that up (annoyingly adding a glass of tonic water sugar in every night but hey ho!) sorts hope it continues

I've had a full on play date day today with someone I'm getting to know more which was lovely, her boy & X played soooooo nicely & they had another baby in Sep so still would be a nice gap for baby friends too. I'm making mum friend progress 💪🏻(& she said I looked great a lot so that makes me feel better!)
