I'm in denial and haven't weighed myself @Vil10 @Juno231 - although I'd say my boobs are at least a stone heavier (yes, might be exaggerating!)

Pessary is OK in pregnancy if it's thrush @Minster2012 - dr OK'ed it for me at the beginning.

I'm migrainey today and off with DS. Storm largely passed here but still quite windy so seems a little foolish to go out again (we went out this morning), I'm hoping DH finishes work early and rescues us!

OP posts:
paintfairy · 18/02/2022 15:48

@Minster2012 yeah- agree with @Juno231 it can be thrush. Or it could be BV? If it smells a bit fishy. 🤣 God being female is great. I actually really struggled when I first met DH as my body just wasn't used to that much DTD (any really!). I had flare ups of both. But then it just magically stopped. Obviously being pregnant everything is all over anyway, so I think more susceptible to stuff. Grrr. They actually did do swabs to check me at my consultant appointment. Not heard anything back mind.
@larrythelizard yeah I suppose it is. Feel OK now so I reckon it maybe was ligament pain.
@Vil10 annoying about the results. Downsides of technology! Hopefully someone can make sense of it.

Windy here! I think we got it later than it said. I am going to the horses now and I'm not really looking forwards to that! Hoping its not as bad as it could have been though.
Plumber came this morning. Went into my bedroom to do something with the boiler (wasn't expecting that) and not only is there shit everywhere, there is stretch mark cream on the side and also a massive pump bottle of lube. 🙈 Worse thing is i know him and his OH I've known years. So it's not even like I'll never see him again. 🤣 I haven't yet told her about the baby either.

Minster2012 · 18/02/2022 15:57

A lb a week @Juno231 what??? I might be ok then! And like @larrythelizard said I think it's all boob!

@larrythelizard you are getting so many migraines 😩that's not good

@paintfairy hilarious on the lube!! I wouldn't worry bout it, it will never get mentioned! There's no smell at all. & today it seems better actually so might be ok

Oh @Vil10 I missed the results thing, hopefully they can get back to you quickly & day it's right?? Great on the yoga, def keep going with that if you can

It's ok here but the wind has picked up now, we had bouts of torrential rain earlier then lovely sunshine so went out for dog walk too (short) & chipped kindling in the decent bits so can bunker in now

And we've got steak tonight & it will be mooooooooing 🥳

larrythelizard · 18/02/2022 16:05

😂😂😂 at your pump bottle of lube @paintfairy!!

I suspect I didn't drink enough water yesterday what with being out and about etc and paying for it today. Dozed off whilst DS was quiet watching nonsense on the TV for 10 mins and been chugging the water like nothing else and it's shifting a little @Minster2012

Mmm steak @Minster2012 DH does a really good cote du beouf that I think I shall request for our anniversary as the in-laws are away so no going out for us again this year! Mind you I snuck a bit of someone's steak whilst out for dinner last weekend and I hated it, who even am I?!

OP posts:
Vil10 · 18/02/2022 17:37

@larrythelizard wish my boobs were🍳🍳 definitely dont be going out if you don't need to

@paintfairy hahaha brilliant on the lube being out for the plumber😂 I was once showing my sister something in our bedroom when she came round and forgot the vibrator was out on the side, and obviously she mentioned it😂

@Minster2012 I agree with the others, could just be a little bit of thrush!! Ooo jealous on the steak!!

The midwife got back to me straight away this morning and they were my results! The person who updated them onto my account just got mixed up because the dates of my other bloods were the same so she put that date by accident instead of the date they were actually taken! So all in all I'm happy with the result and they came back sooner than I thought too!

Also anyone else with a nuna it's worth knowing this, so the leaf rocker I picked up from someone on market place, the cushion insert was a bit stained, looked like she'd tried scrubbing it with something and the colour of the whole insert was completely different than it should be, emailed nuna to see if we could buy a new insert and they said we just needed to send a pic of the sticky label that's on the base and that has the product number on, anyway, typically the woman had taken this label off, gone back onto market place to see if I could find any pics with the label in the picture and come across my cousin is selling a nuna rocker too, but she lives an hour away so I hadn't seen it, messaged her asking for the product number and she's said I can have her nuna for free, and sent me the product number, so we've sent nuna an email with a pic of the product number and they're sending us a brand new insert cushion out for free as a gesture of good will!!! How kind of them is that!! So not only do I have a fresh cushion insert, I also have a nuna for free and I'll just either offer this woman it back for a refund or re sell it on market place! Unless anyone on here wants it?? I just don't know how I'll send it😂

Minster2012 · 18/02/2022 18:25

@Vil10 that's excellent news on both the results & the nuna!! Amazing!

@larrythelizard I bloody better like the taste of the 🥩, I'm so looking forwards to it, DH just gone to the pub for his usually Friday drink after work & I said to him "don't forget I'm waiting for you for food so no stopping out" 😂he's generally only there til 8 or so but I'm starving (see earlier comment on gaining weight!) DS & I made brownie yesterday too 😬

feliznavidad2 · 19/02/2022 07:59

Catching up. Happy Saturday ladies!

Hope your steak was divine @Minster2012 and your umm vagine issues have resolved. I had thrush this week and GP gave me the pessary thing which then proceeded to come out like little chalky pieces for days. 😩 Much more comfy though!

Fantastic news on the results @Vil10 what a relief goes to Google what a Nuna is

Have your John Lewis bits come yet @Juno231? Mine came yesterday and they're so cute. DS indulges me with saying 'awww' at every item 😂 🥰

On the weight talk, I've put on about 7lb and 20 weeks but I am a chubba anyway. Last time I put on 2 stone in the whole pregnancy and weighed less than I started two weeks after DS was born. Don't think I'm gonna be so lucky this time. 🥴

It's my birthday next week so meeting a friend for afternoon tea this pm and then we're away for a few days in the NE for half term. 🧖‍♀️

larrythelizard · 19/02/2022 08:07

My JL bits came @feliznavidad2 @Juno231 I'm mainly loving the tiger sheets I bought for the cot, the rest were all plain bits.

Sounds a lovely week you've got coming up @feliznavidad2

I hope steak was good @Minster2012

Sounds like a result @Vil10!

Trying to drink shit loads of water today, I think even one day with not drinking enough really hits me these days, I'm so rock and roll! Weirdly when pregnant with DS I completely went off water and couldn't stomach it, had to be squash all the time, now I don't like it!

Considering taking DS to the cinema this morning to see Sing 2

OP posts:
feliznavidad2 · 19/02/2022 08:09

Ohhh let us know if it's any good @larrythelizard as considering taking DS next week if it's rainy when we're away.

Juno231 · 19/02/2022 08:34

@larrythelizard @feliznavidad2 my friend took her 2 year old to sing 2 the other week and said it was great, for what it's worth!

@vil10 amazing news on the results 🎉

@feliznavidad2 I chickened out and never pressed buy! I bet everything is still in the cart so might revisit it today... I'm expecting 2 stone gain this time but I started 20lb more than I should be for my height so hoping to limit it to 1-1,5 stone. I won't have much of a say though lol so will just roll with it.

One thing I find interesting though is that of I check the Swedish guidelines their weight gain recommendations are 5lbs less than the NHS'.

Minster2012 · 19/02/2022 08:52

Well we've woken up & the trampoline is still there after being weighted down, but our benches all over and some branches. It wasn't wild here though

Awww @feliznavidad2 afternoon tea sounds lush, I might actually weigh myself tomorrow 😬this pessary for thrush can I get over the counter or have to be a doctor? The steak was lovely mmmmm

Keep chugging the water @larrythelizard & sing sounds great! I wish DS would sit and watch a film. I long for those days 🤞🏻

@Juno231 im not surprised at that with the swedes tbh, they take health much more seriously don't they

Minster2012 · 19/02/2022 08:54

I might take DS swimming today...if k can find a swimming costume I can fit in 😂

feliznavidad2 · 19/02/2022 08:58

@Minster2012 they gave me a standard Clotrimazole 500mg pessary but I'd read online, and I think @larrythelizard said before about not using the applicator to insert it.

Technically I think you're meant to speak to GP/health care provider but my pessary was just a standard Canestan one that I could have bought OTC. 🤷‍♀️

paintfairy · 19/02/2022 09:00

I don't know how you all found stuff on the JL site to buy, there was nothing i even wanted? 🤣 I have bought some second hand snuzpouches though. The extent of my buying is still minimal.......
The lube likely will never get mentioned but how embarrassing. Suppose it could have been worse. Doesn't make it better that it wasn't stood with the other bits on my bedside table, it was kind of pulled out into the middle and there all by itself! Making a statement. 🤣 We'd used it the day before.....
Struggling with constipation again around here! 😫 But once I get a carpet down (going to the shop today) I get my my bedroom and bed back! 🥳 I said I only wanted to be out of it a few weeks. It'll have been 4 months. 🙈
Next task is pinning people down again. The plasterer is booked for April but the joiner isn't giving me a date and now making noises about June for the banister and hallway work. Firstly that gives us little time after to sand woodwork, paint, and decorate etc. Secondly I have to take the old banister out to have the plaster work done because of where it is. And no one seems to think 2 months without one is any kind of safety issue. 🙄 I mean usually it's not ideal anyway, but I'll be fat! I might see if I can find someone else. Ffs. We delayed the plaster work for there, to tie it in altogether but workmen just don't seem to be able to cooperate, notice or not. And he's still not giving me an actual date until I've now picked flooring for downstairs. Which seems mental. It'll not take from now until June to bloody get laminate. 🤬

@Minster2012 I hope the steak was worth it! I love steak. None for us this week though.
@Vil10 I'm glad the test results confusion is sorted. One thing less to worry about.

feliznavidad2 · 19/02/2022 09:01

Found this @Minster2012 www.medicinesinpregnancy.org/Medicine--pregnancy/Clotrimazole/

Kate105 · 19/02/2022 09:13

Hello sorry it's been a busy few days and not much news here really! Off to Bonny Scotland with TSD when he wakes up and eats! My god the amount of shit you need to cart with you for one extra tiny human is insane!

Juno231 · 19/02/2022 09:49

@paintfairy haha the juxtaposition of lube chat and constipation made me think for a second you'd used it for pooping 🤣

@Minster2012 Swedes are a bit crazy with it sometimes, setting strict weight limits for pregnancy seems a bit OTT. One of my swedish friends proudly told me the other day that she only put on 10kg (so a normal amount?) because she was so careful to eat only healthy stuff and all i could think of was that it was a shame she'd been so focused on that 🙈. My friend is stationed in the Netherlands atm and is pregnant too - the midwives there scared her shitless saying how she's so high risk due to being overweight... She was barely 26 in BMI! All the risks they stated don't even get mentioned here unless you've got over 30 BMI.

@Vil10 I forgot to say - I haven't started the yoga yet! I'm going to my first class tomorrow and am pretty excited tbh. I'm glad you enjoyed yours - I'm sure you'll enjoy it even more in person as you'll get to make mum friends too!

paintfairy · 19/02/2022 10:08

@Juno231 if it works for pooping I could try it? 🤣
Carpet shopping abandoned. Emergency roof fixing of the Wendy house instead.

bez91 · 19/02/2022 10:13

Morning ladies! 3rd trimester starts today 😬 On the weight, I haven't dared weigh myself. Most is in the bump but perhaps a few more pounds elsewhere too.

@Vil10 wow can't believe you are 16 weeks already that seems to have flown, all good on the results actually being yours!

@Minster2012 lots of 🍆 also upsets my vag equilibrium 😆 the Clotrimazole will do the trick, I found some this morning that was prescribed ages ago I think for DD as a baby as she has a sore bum 🤦🏼‍♀️

A pound a week @Juno231 🤯 ah I may have to weigh myself to compare myself against that! Sounds like you've picked up a few bargains with the nuna etc! That sounds about right with the Swedish guideline, we're an obese nation for sure! Me inc right now.

@larrythelizard are the migraines becoming less frequent now? 😩 everyone seems to rave about this sing. I just look it up, DD enthralled with Encanto and every song atm which is a welcome break from Disney princess songs!

@paintfairy whoooops 😂 yes usually need free reign of the house to balance the system if boiler work, I've fell foul to stuff being lying about. Not massive bottles of lube mind! Ahh no the storm got you? We've been lucky, just some of the fence that borders a field broken so we may get the horses in the garden but that's be quite cool and they'd be contained 😆

@feliznavidad2 sounds a lovely week off! I am off next week too, no plans really apart from also meeting my friend for afternoon tea one day. Need to get them in before end of March and being forced to take them

Minster2012 · 19/02/2022 12:10

Oh god workmen are a bloody nightmare @paintfairy, i think you always have to agree to the earliest date for anyone cos if you try & be more organised & tie together someone's cat will die or something which will mean someone will cancel 🙄maybe try the lube for the constipation?? 🤪

I shall get some of the canneston type thing later then after swimming thank you @feliznavidad2 & @larrythelizard, I've never had thrush before so a bit new for me...plus need to lay off the 🍆having had it again last night AND this morning it's not helped 😂

Yeah that's pretty extreme @Juno231 & not healthy in fact, a bmi of 26 is considered too high??? No hope for any of us then. I'm sure you'll really enjoy the yoga 🧘‍♀️

@Kate105 it's actually mental how much stuff a child needs for trips. We regularly say this. It doesn't get any better either, as they get used to getting dirty feral the amount of clothes changes PLUS entertainment you need is insane

I've just booked another spa day for Easter Saturday, so I've got a massage & leg thing in a couple of weeks then this one is a pamper day which I'm really looking forwards to ❤️😊

Minster2012 · 19/02/2022 12:11

@bez91 yes the third trimester!! Boom! I was looking the other day when ordering my vitamins when that was...last leg 🦵 now for you!

@becarefuloutthere is it another sweep today? 🤞🏻🤞🏻

becarefuloutthere · 19/02/2022 12:38

@Minster2012 yeah it is, a home visit today so she's coming at 3. Just thinking about where to do it...downstairs loo or bathroom? 🤔 I hate climbing the stairs so thinking downstairs loo but we'll both be on the floor won't we. Should I suggest the bed? I don't wanna do it on my sofas, we got new ones this week! 😅 I know she'll put a sheet or whatever down but we'll need some height won't we, so it's gotta be bed I guess.
Ooh love a spa/pamper day, sounds fab hun! I never did book that massage in, may do it next week if no sign of the wee one.

@bez91 yay to third trimester, where shit gets really real!

Minster2012 · 19/02/2022 13:00

@becarefuloutthere I'd def go bed as opposed to new sofas!

2020mission · 19/02/2022 13:04

I'd agree and go with the bed @becarefuloutthere although nothing should be coming out at the time so you should have no mess to worry about. Can't believe the midwives come out to you for sweeps down south - I had to go to the hospital for everything including the sweep! I only got a home visit when it was the midwife after the birth. She checked my stitches for me and I went to the bed for that rather than sofa and there was a risk of mess there due to the postpartum bleeding 😅 I really hope you get the 22nd as her birth date 😃

Vil10 · 19/02/2022 13:14

@Minster2012 @feliznavidad2 definitely! Feels like ive been waiting ages because you usually have them done at your 12 week appointment!!

@feliznavidad2 I don't think 7lb at 20 weeks is bad?? I'm only 3lb off that and I'm 17 weeks on Monday, so if the rule about 1lb a week is true then I'll be the same! Ooo afternoon tea sounds lovely!!

@larrythelizard I'm the same as you with the water! I'm usually good with my water intake but this last week when it's cold I drink less and I've been suffering with headaches from it!!

@Juno231 I definitely enjoyed it so hopefully you will too!! Yess I'm going to go to the class either next week or the week after, now that I know it's not that hard I feel more confident!

@Minster2012 glad the steak was good!! I could murder one but we've decided to wait until after the babies been born and go to our favourite steak place so I can have it just the way I like it and hopefully it'll taste better for waiting so long!!
Jealous of your spa day, might have to book myself one in soon!!

@paintfairy oh god house stuff and workmen sound stressful!!

@bez91 I know tell me about it!! 17 weeks on Monday!! It's flying! Wooo for 3rd trimester!!🥳

We've just had loadss of snow this morning!! Makes me not want to go out anywhere but unfortunately we're at my sisters for a couple of hours later for her OH birthday then a wedding night do! Positive side though, we have a private scan booked tomorrow for 16+6 and I cannot wait to see how much baby has grown since 12+5!! And it only leaves me with just over 3 weeks until my 20 week scan (and my birthday)

We've also been looking at internal doors online today as well and what fire to get, we're making a full day of it next weekend and going fire, bed and door shopping!
