@Juno231 mega confusing! I guess with only a week left I'll just carry on with mine 😬
Very cute pic! I didn't start taking them until
15 weeks but I think I had a slight bump from 13ish weeks, but I am bigger than you.
@larrythelizard ooh fun, wish I had the patience to wait sometimes 😂 will keep you posted on cervix watch 👀
@Minster2012 omg how bloody frustrating!! But Percy pigs is defo a plus to the journey!
@paintfairy haven't you heard... it's all the rage now 🤪🤣
Yeah you said about Dh. You won't look fat darling, you'll look blooming, big difference and everyone should be lovely to you. If they're not then they're dicks, sorry but true! 😝
@bez91 thank you 🙏🏾 how far along are you? I went up two bra sizes too but managed to stay in my usual ones until the end of the second trimester, I just kept loosening the straps 😆 and whipping it off at every opportunity!

feliznavidad2 · 15/02/2022 21:14

Glad it helped @Juno231 - I bought far too much! 😫 😆

20 week scan tomorrow, despite 'seeing' baby two weeks ago, still got a touch of the ole scanxiety.

Little bump looks lovely @kaylsd

Minster2012 · 15/02/2022 21:25

Omg don't even get me started on the parking @bez91, it was at st james but not in Bexley Wing near the fab big car park, oh no, one of the older winds with NO parking near it so 15 mins driving round there too 🤬

@paintfairy my hurty boobs stopped around 18/20 weeks or so? And you won't look fat, I often think looser clothes make us look bigger

@feliznavidad2 we all know scaniexty is real 😘🤞🏻good luck

larrythelizard · 15/02/2022 22:19

Scanxiety is very real, fingers crossed for tomorrow @feliznavidad2

@Minster2012 I think it's rose tinted glasses really when I had all the time in the world to myself!

Mine were sore and had settled but really sore and itchy last couple of days @paintfairy so I assume growing again.

Also shut up on the fat @paintfairy - we've seen, it's an actual baby bump! What about maternity leggings and a dress? I've just ordered the next 'grow with me' maternity jeans to see what they're like as I don't really fit into any jeans now and I really should wear something other than my trusty lululemon leggings!

You're welcome to some of mine @bez91 I bloody hate them!

OP posts:
Minster2012 · 16/02/2022 07:02

Omg I can hear the storms howling outside 😩

@larrythelizard yeah I kinda see what you mean, I like smaller journeys singing to myself! Just not the mind numbing long motorway ones

@paintfairy leggings and a dress, how we laughed 😜😂 (she doesn't do leggings or dresses @larrythelizard!)

larrythelizard · 16/02/2022 07:33

🤣🤣🤣 @Minster2012 in my defence it was @paintfairy who mentioned a floaty summer dress!

OP posts:
Minster2012 · 16/02/2022 07:39

I think a floaty summer dress would be lovely for storm Dudley 😂@larrythelizard

bez91 · 16/02/2022 07:55

@paintfairy I had a few weeks of agony boobs about the same time, anything touching them hurt! Oooh family get together, you don't sound delighted about that 😆
We have a family get together Saturday, DHs grandma who has lived in Australia for the past 12 years is emigrating back to the UK. We saw her 6 years ago at our wedding as she flew over but she's never met DD (her first great grandchild) so it'll be nice 😊

@becarefuloutthere im almost 28 weeks. I read that as you "whipped them out at every opportunity" which is pretty much the same concept anyway 😆 have you been checking your cervix? I wouldn't even know what I'm looking for!

@feliznavidad2 good luck for today, I don't think the scanxiety ever goes away when you've been down that rabbit hole before ❤️

@Minster2012 what's the deal with the appointment then are they going to ring you? It is a windy one!

@larrythelizard some of your boobs you're offering? 😂

Kate105 · 16/02/2022 08:56

Good luck for today @feliznavidad2 😊

Haha thank you for all the moral support regarding NTL. She's early 30s I guess? And she's a primary teacher in real life which definitely makes sense 😂 there's a very good reason why I never considered primary teaching but I am glad there are people like her who will make the effort for poor deprived TSD, who will have to wait until he gets to school to enjoy crafting, messy play and the like 😂

I do actually think we're getting there with TSD and the sleep, next step is his own room! Because he keeps waking us up just making noises in his sleep... might actually need to start thinking of a new nickname for him if this carries on. I may be maligning him unfairly 😂 although might just keep the moniker but change the acronym to The Spit Demon because omg the dribble is unreal... I just constantly look like a slug has been trailing up and down my jumper 🙈

I'm going away with TSD this weekend (storms permitting haha) to stay with a friend to trial that 🤞🏻dummy run before we book tickets to go back and see the fam in Ireland. Eeek! H is a farmer so it's bloody hard to get him to take holidays (and to be fair, visiting my family in Ireland isn't the greatest joy for him 😂) so need to trial solo travel otherwise I'll never leave the county again!

Minster2012 · 16/02/2022 08:57

@bez91 they saw me yesterday, sorry wasn't clear, they said if it comes through again saying to go then it's a mistake & they will call me. Also here with boobs to spare 😂

becarefuloutthere · 16/02/2022 09:32

@bez91 haha no one needs to see my swinging tits 😂 no idea how to check my cervix so I'll let the midwife crack on with that this afternoon! Aw your family get together this weekend sounds lovely 😊
@feliznavidad2 best of luck for today, I'm sure all will go fine 🙂
@Kate105 good luck for this weekend! Hope TSD passes the test and you manage to enjoy the weekend 🙏🏾

paintfairy · 16/02/2022 09:54

@bez91 I'm now hanging out of the 32dd wireless bras I bought from matalan. I had to go down a back size as they seemed to come up looser. But I usually wear a 34c (very occasionally 34d depending on my weight at that point and the make). I'm not one for attention and his family are well meaning but ott and excitable.
@feliznavidad2 i am dreading my 20 week scan. And I only had one on Sunday. So it'll be less than 3 weeks. But I was still ever so slightly nervous Sunday and I only went to the hospital last Wednesday and knew it was all OK then. I don't think it ever goes away. Good luck. 🍀
@Minster2012 true about the loose clothes. You just look fat all over then. And 🤣🤣🤣 yeah the clothes. @larrythelizard Its not that I won't wear leggings (have previously under tunic tops etc) but my bum and thighs just aren't something anyone wants to see in them! And no i don't usually wear dresses either. But if it's really hot I did think floaty dresses is probably the only option. Easier than shorts and as cool as possible. I have some thin holiday ones that might work for home etc. But I'll need to get something for leaving the house! God knows what I'll wear to the horses. Its all so difficult. 🤣
@Kate105 good idea on the trial run!

The joiner is here today putting the wardrobe outsides up. No idea when the next stage will be done but at least after today we can look to move back into our room and begin to sort the others! There's so much crashing about, the poor dog has glued himself to me.

larrythelizard · 16/02/2022 10:02

Yes have some of my boobs @bez91 they're definitely more of a hindrance than anything else!

Sounds a lovely lovely weekend you've got coming up @bez91

When on Mat leave I gallivanted around the country a bit with DS and it was fine, I knew it would throw his routine out a little bit we rolled with it, you've completely got it @Kate105!

My parents are a bit much in terms of looking at me so I get it @paintfairy but wearing a tent probably won't help! It's one of the things I hate about pregnancy, that people think they can comment on your body. When I was about 6 months pregnant with DS a stranger lady was all like 'oh are there 3 in there?!' - completely unsolicited! And my bump was still relatively neat at that point. Fucker! I had to explain to a childless friend that it wasn't nice to comment on pregnant women's bodies 🤯🤯🤯

OP posts:
paintfairy · 16/02/2022 10:09

@larrythelizard honestly I find it baffling. I have never touched or commented on a woman's bump. Friend or not. And I would be horrified if they did it with me. DH actually leaned down and spoke to it yesterday and I was like- what are you doing? 🤣 Mainly because it took me by surprise. I don't mind him doing it (though I need warning) but anyone else- no!
I'm not sure his family would (although who knows, but not yet until its bigger you'd hope) but they are huggy people. I'm not. They are nice though, I'm just one of those prefer to sit in a corner and hide types. 🤣 I'll feel really awkward if people start commenting. 🙈

DKDK123 · 16/02/2022 10:35

@Minster2012 I can't believe you had sex 4 times in your weekend away, we're lucky to manage sex 4 times in 2 months at the moment 🙈 I had a high sex drive first time round but wasn't allowed sex, this time round I've not been told I can't have sex yet but I have zero desire for it right now anyways, total sods law! And how irritating about your appointment yesterday what a waste of your time! 😤

@Juno231 sounds like a good haul you were given, hand me downs from friends are the best! Takes a lot of financial pressure off you and its like Christmas looking through the bags to see what you've been given, I love it when friends pass stuff on!

@feliznavidad2 great luck on the physio appointment! I might check out that app, so far I've been lucky with DS and this pregnancy with pelvic floor, but I feel I shouldn't tempt fate at my age and should actually start to do some pf exercises! Hand hold to get you through the scanxiety today.

@bez91 sounds like it'll be a lovely family get together at the weekend with her seeing her first great grandchild in person 💕

@larrythelizard one of my work colleagues who hasn't seen me for a few weeks actually squealed across the room "Oh my god look at the size of you, you look so big, it's adorable!" I was too taken aback to lecture her in appropriate comments to pregnant ladies 😂

@paintfairy with DS I remember random old ladies in shops just coming up and thinking it was OK to touch and talk to my bump 🤯 luckily I do most of my shopping online now so haven't experienced it this time round.

The glamorous life of pregnancy continues, after months of being constipated its now decided to swing the other way and I'm non stop on the loo 🙈 Can't think of anything I've eaten that would have caused it and everyone else in the household is fine so I'm guessing it's those lovely pregnancy hormones causing havoc again. Also feel like baby has moved way up higher in the past day or two so it's probably the release of pressure on the digestive system that's got everything flowing so to speak 🙈 it does however mean extremely squished lungs so breathing is now an issue. Pregnancy is definitely not for the faint hearted, where is this magical glow thats supposed to happen 😂
Also had a call yesterday to say I should have been at a midwife appointment 🤔 I said no, I had one last week and my next one is on the 7th then weekly from there. Apparently they added a new appointment for me after my one last week only no-one actually told me about it 🤦‍♀️ Didn't realise being psychic is supposed to come with pregnancy too! She didn't actually say what it was for or if they're arranging a new one and I didnt ask so unless they phone with another time and date I'm just waiting till the 7th, I figure the less I see them the less chance there is of them telling me its time to pack my hospital bags and be stuck on bed rest 😂

feliznavidad2 · 16/02/2022 12:06

Scan went well, all looked okay and measuring as she should be... had a cervical length scan due to previous LLETZ procedure and that was normal too. 😮‍💨

Feeing very relieved and lucky. Photo on IG for those on it. 💕

Juno231 · 16/02/2022 12:23

@feliznavidad2 ah excellent news!! Was the baby cooperative?

@DKDK123 haha I'm reading your shit update whilst stuck on the loo with the squits....

@paintfairy can't wait for people to touch my bump 😂

Speaking of scans, I'm starting to realise I had one two weeks ago and won't have one for another 7.... That's nuts! Atm I don't feel the need to book a scan in but let's see if that changes in a few weeks time.

feliznavidad2 · 16/02/2022 12:24

@Juno231 yes - more than on previous scans 😂 and they visualised everything they needed to, did the cervical length bit 😒 and then went to back to check the heart chambers as she'd moved following me doing a wee.

larrythelizard · 16/02/2022 13:07

Fantastic news @feliznavidad2!

Pregnancy really is non-stop glamour @DKDK123. Also didn't know that psychic was a pregnancy symptom, hormones do all sorts but that's a new one on me! You're doing well though, day by day without being confined to your bed!

Maybe they'll just do a quick hug then you'll be free to sit in the corner @paintfairy? I'm yet to tell my aunt and cousin who I'm quite close to - I can't quite work out why!

It's such a long wait from 12 to 20 weeks @Juno231 - you must have a 15/16 week MW appt coming up soon? Hopefully they'll let you listen to the heartbeat and then you'll know things are OK.

OP posts:
Vil10 · 16/02/2022 14:51

@becarefuloutthere Hahahhaa cervix ripe and ready😂

@Juno231 oh I'd love for it to be 8 weeks! However we can't decide on a sofa and bed, but yet here I am ordering things like placemats that really don't matter😂😂 I think we'll probably move in and live there whilst decorating! We'll just do the painting ourselves and OH's friend is a painter/builder/roofer so he said he'll come and do the hard bits like the stairs etc! And our other friend does epoxy/resin floorings etc so he's going to do a sample board for us so then he can make us a new worktop and bathroom flooring, I'm so grateful the amount of tradesman we have as friends that can help us!! Yayyy for first bumpie! I literally had nothing then got to 15+5 and suddenly I had a bump and now I literally feel like I'm getting bigger by the day, still no boob growth though dammit

@larrythelizard did you Google the nuna??

@Minster2012 wow what a joke!! I hope the Percy pigs softened the blow!

@paintfairy jealous of your boobs going up 2 cup sizes!! Show off your bump!! I've tried a few bigger clothes on and found I just look frumpy, however we're at a wedding night do on Saturday and no idea what I'll wear!!

@feliznavidad2 so glad everything went well with the 20 week scan!! You can relax a little more now x

@bez91 sorry to hear about the rib still being painful! I'm like you and hate taking painkillers, hopefully the hot water bottle might help soon🤞🏼

@Kate105 good luck for this weekend!!

@DKDK123 definitely think the glow up is a myth!! I just feel tired constantly!! I'm sleeping so so well but feel shattered by 3 in the afternoon!! That would've wound me up about the appointment!! They can be so incompetent sometimes can't they!!

@Juno231 it is such a long time to wait!! I thought I'd be fine but ended up booking a scan last week for this Sunday when I'll be 16+6 and then only 3 weeks to wait until my 20 week scan!

Well I had a dreamy facial and neck and shoulder massage this morning, I feel like my skin was so dry and dull, I definitely needed it!! Picked up my nuna too and the woman was so so lovely, only lived 5 minutes from my mum and she said if she comes across anything else that she's selling she'll message me directly and see if I want it!! So nice of her! Going to do some organising of clothes this afternoon and look for some house stuff then I think a bath and early night is on the cards for me! I'm supposed to be helping my sister paint her living room tomorrow but not sure how long I should be doing it for? Nhs says painting is fine but then other websites advise against it? Anyway she's taking me out for breakfast first to say Thankyou for helping and then I have my midwife appointment in the afternoon!

Juno231 · 16/02/2022 14:59

@Vil10 oh I missed that you got a nuna!! I have one too from my friend the other day. Nice on the facial - my skin has been so dry and blotchy lately so I could definitely use the same. We struggled to buy a bed and sofa so don't envy you that one.... Ended up with a bed from feather and black and love it though :)

@larrythelizard it doesn't help that my next scan is at 21+6... You're right about the heartbeat though, although I'm not holding my breath as lots of places don't seem to check it at the 16 week appointment?

larrythelizard · 16/02/2022 15:10

@Vil10 I did google, looks cool, we have a standard bouncer thats already a hand me down, I might see how chill this baby is before splashing out on other bits like that.

I think in terms of painting @Vil10 as long as the room is well ventilated you'll be OK, if he more cautious of your back than pregnancy tbh

@Juno231 I'm dowsing myself liberally in hyralounic acid based products - between early pregnancy and winter my skin is TRASH (oh and the Botox I loved so much has obv worn off but no more of that for a while!) I only know about my trust and they deffo did it, hope yours does too 🤞🏼

OP posts:
becarefuloutthere · 16/02/2022 15:42

@feliznavidad2 great news 👏🏾
@Vil10 it's not ripe or ready but we managed a mini sweep so hoping it starts something off soon 😬 if not, we're going again on Saturday! Sounds like a nice day and good plans for tomorrow too x
@Juno231 I'm sure if you ask at the 16 week appointment they'll listen for it. I thought it was standard at every MW from that date. On the skin front I'm using a hyraulonic serum thingy before moisturising which is quite hydrating. @larrythelizard what other ones do you use? I've just got a serum that apply day and night after cleansing.

larrythelizard · 16/02/2022 17:17

Ah bugger @becarefuloutthere she's going to keep you waiting a little longer! I like the Cerave hyaluronic acid serum (which is the consistency of a moisturising cream) and also the Frank Body hyaluronic acid serum (which is more liquidy and in a bottle with a dropper)

OP posts:
Minster2012 · 16/02/2022 17:39

Trust me @Kate105 TSD will make his own messy play don't you worry 😆god the dribble I forgot that too 😫you'll breeze the trial this weekend don't you worry

I had a giggle about your swinging tits @becarefuloutthere im exactly the same! I wore an underwired bra for lunch today 😹I got back & promptly took it off, my tots enjoy swinging free now! I think @Juno231 is right they are still growing 😳😳😳

We better hope the weather this spring/summer is nice for all those floaty dresses @paintfairy (which I don't have!) I'm still living in jumper dresses during the day then if I have to dress up a wrap dress or like todays lunch I have 2 maternity dresses. Don't engage in a hug, if they go in, just step back & say "sorry I'm a higher risk pregnant so can't hug"

@larrythelizard oh god the stranger saying that I hate it! I really don't like ppl looking at my belly still feel really self conscious about it. Well pregnancy is one way to stop a Botox circle forming 😂

Loving your clothes haul @Juno231 I get a lot second hand & sell on a lot of DS's clothes to find his new ones. That's my child spending pot & DH knows that he doesn't complain that way. The scans is such a long time. It was another reason for me wanting a gender scan, obviously we could've not done the gender but DH agreed it's a lonnnng time between scans where you don't actually feel anything so it's nerve wracking

@DKDK123 my sex drive is a bit higher I've found, but obviously we were told we couldn't to start with, I don't think I'll be doing 4 times like that again as I swear my foof has only just returned to "normal" size!! She squealed "you look so big" omg what's with these ppl. I think not needing to see the midwife is great for you, you are doing so well ❤️

Jealous of your tradie friends @Vil10 send them up here first!!! Also jealous of your massage & facial, I've got one in couple of weeks and trying to book another for April atm. I'd do a couple of hours painting in well ventilated space then reassess

Come on baby @becarefuloutthere 😜sgss obviously dead snug 😂
