Hi @winterbabyrose nice to have you. I think quite a few of us here had Jan babies so you have swapped with them!
My tummy has suddenly got tight. All the time so not like braxton hicks (not that I’ve had one) I’m 38 +2. Anyone else had the same? It’s only been since this morning and I’ve lost my appetite (not for the first time this pregnancy) so it’s not from overeating! This is baby 2 for me and I’m more scared this time!

Sleepyquest · 04/02/2022 09:08

@winterbabyrose

Just thought I'd join if possible! Been on the January '22 thread since June (my due date was 30th January) but as I'm now 40+4 looks like I'm having a February baby! Is anyone else in a similar situation?
Not Jan but was due two days ago and fed up!
Snoringmonkey · 04/02/2022 10:24

I need to join this thread!

DS2 due on the 7th. Little tyke is on the 97th percentile, not engaged and back to back! Been losing lots of the mucus plug for days but I’m not convinced he’ll be here anytime soon as I have no other signs. DS1 was 12 days late so I’m resigned to waiting a while longer…

SleepingFrog · 04/02/2022 12:05

Currently 40+1 and no signs. First baby was induced at 40+10 and came 40+11 by emergency c section so I'm not holding out any hope for this week 🙄

Timetobemumanddad · 04/02/2022 16:51

Growth scan today at 38+3 - totally normal - baby’s estimated weight at present is 7lb8oz
Eeek! Got a sneaky peak of her little face again and I just can’t wait to meet her! Her head is very low! Crossing everything but midwife says I will be overdue and to think about a sweep at 40 and 41 weeks LOL

CucumberCool · 04/02/2022 18:37

Have many been told by midwives when they are likely to be meeting their babies?

@Timetobemumanddad my pregnancy sounds similar, I am 38+5, very low and engaged tummy feels a little hard...but no had any indication from anyone if I might be early or late.... Only likely that will be high 7lbs low 8lbs...
We spoke about a sweep but I'd prefer to avoid it if possible!

BabyFeb22 · 05/02/2022 12:03

@PrettyPlatapus I've not been told by midwife but she did say that they can do a sweep now from 39 weeks. Kinda hoping the consultant on Wednesday just says I need inducing as I'm in so much pain from the constant kicks to the ribs now!

becarefuloutthere · 05/02/2022 13:29

@BabyFeb22 yeah mine said the same. Well my consultant did. So I've got my first sweep at 39+1 and another pencilled in for 3 days later! I'm actually quite excited now as can't wait to meet her 😃

Chichimcgee · 05/02/2022 15:45

Hi all, 37 weeks, feels weirdly close but also ages to wait Grin

feb2022 · 05/02/2022 16:02

@Chichimcgee I'm 37 weeks on Monday and I can totally relate... it's going to be the longest 3 weeks of my life.. but also the quickest 😂

penguin303 · 05/02/2022 16:34

Also 37 weeks now, although will be induced at 39 weeks. I am so impatiently waiting at the moment, I get period pains almost all night (mild enough to sleep through) but that’s pretty much it symptoms wise, so really not expecting anything to happen anytime soon.

I am nesting like absolute crazy though. I have really started to run out of things to clean now.. and have bought everything I could possibly need should there be an apocalypse? Obviously all this spare time since starting maternity leave a week ago is killing me.

Rmw99 · 05/02/2022 16:45

It's been a while since iv been on here and not sure who's on the Facebook group.
But I had my little girl on the 2.2.22 ( I love the date) she weighed 6lb 12! Xx

Chichimcgee · 05/02/2022 16:47

My son is 12 and the pregnancy was so different, he was in a weird position and I had no symptoms going into labour, no mucous plug, no braxton hicks, waters didn’t break, randomly started having contractions and he was born bang on his due date.

With such a big age gap it feels brand new but also because she’s where she should be I’m getting so many things like tightening, discharge, braxton hicks and I’m constantly googling signs of labour despite knowing it’s too soon and already having had a baby 🤣

Chichimcgee · 05/02/2022 16:47

@Rmw99 aw congratulations!!

Snoringmonkey · 05/02/2022 18:59

@Rmw99 aw congratulations!! What a lovely birthday, I had my fingers crossed for that date too Grin

My waters went this afternoon, no contractions yet though. Midwife said if labour hasn’t started by tomorrow lunchtime I have to be induced. Does anyone know if I’ll still be able to have a water birth? I completely forgot to ask her! Confused

Chichimcgee · 05/02/2022 19:02

I’m holding out for 22/2/22 Grin

@Snoringmonkey I think you can still have a water birth, they’ll just give you something to start the contractions. Exciting time!!

Dogt17 · 05/02/2022 19:46

@Snoringmonkey with my first my waters broke but I didn’t get contractions until about 15 hours later. When I got to the hospital the next morning I wasn’t far enough along so had to be induced. I wasn’t allowed to go in the water as I had to monitored. So for me being induced meant I could try a water birth. Not sure if it’s been different for anyone else. Good luck with the birth and hopefully your baby will be here soon 😊

Dogt17 · 05/02/2022 19:47

*couldn’t try a water birth

Chichimcgee · 05/02/2022 21:19

Braxton hicks or baby headbutting her frankly ginormous noggin against me?

BabyFeb22 · 05/02/2022 22:27

I'll give you all a laugh.... I've just been stuck on the floor! Back was killing so without thinking I decided to lay on the floor as it's the only way to get back properly straight, managed to drop off for about half an hour. Woke up and tried to move, yeah I couldn't get up and my DP already gone up to bed! I've just had to ring him from downstairs to come and get me off the floor 😂.

Chichimcgee · 05/02/2022 22:40

🤣 oh dear! We’re you like an upturned turtle bless you?!

feb2022 · 06/02/2022 08:26

@BabyFeb22 😂😂
This happened to me in the bath a few days ago, I lay back to wash my hair and then couldn't get back up again 😂

Sleepyquest · 06/02/2022 08:46

I was induced first time and was not able to have a water birth as they have to monitor baby constantly. Sorry Sad

Peachi82 · 06/02/2022 11:11

Congratulations to everyone already having their baby! ❤

I'm 38+2 today and so full of baby and achey and tired.
Was advised to stop with Clexane when I think I might go into labour within the next 12 hours. I wish I had such foresight 😂

Snoringmonkey · 06/02/2022 11:39

Contractions started about 10 last night, established labour at 6am, was 5cm then. Examined an hour ago and have made no progress so not waiting on the drip.. which I’m pretty terrified of.
