Thank you @Lionnose and @feb2022 She lays in a zig zag as well so she has head down then body on my left side abd her feet on my right 😂

feb2022 · 01/02/2022 09:16

@BabyFeb22 that's exactly what this little lady is like, constantly got a little wiggling bum under my left ribs and kicks to my right 😂

2under2howscary · 01/02/2022 09:22

I've updated a few, but forgot to update on here.

Had my DS on 23rd jan! Waters broke at 5:20am and I had him at 6:39am. I was already in hospital with pre-eclampsia and Obstetric Choleostasis so luckily was transferred to delivery Suite super quickly and partner was allowed in - even though I was covid positive.

Now just over a week old and he's amazing. My 15m old does keep trying to feed him sausages, play and stroke him with his ham hands though! Hah

Good luck Everyone xxx

Also; I was covid positive, but both boys and my partner didn't catch it off me

Hi ladies

Can I join you all? I'm booked in for a C-Section on 25 February. Still living in denial that it is less than 4 weeks away!!

Winterfellismyhome · 01/02/2022 15:30

Hi All!
First time posting but due 16th Feb ❤️ wasn’t expecting to get this far as my first baby was born 36+1 now I’m 37+6 feeling like a ticking time bomb 😂

Timetobemumanddad · 01/02/2022 20:49

Hi, another late edition and Labour symptom spotter Grin due on the 15th of February. Midwife is sending me for a growth scan as fundal height measurement not changed since 36 weeks however I have had 4 different midwife’s consecutively and baby is fully engaged. Been told not to worry - of course naturally you do but I’m just seeing it as an opportunity for a sneaky last peep before baby girl arrives! Hope everyone is well - any one else having shooting pains up the front and back if sat / lay in certain positions and lots of braxton hicks ?? :)

apricotoreos · 01/02/2022 21:08

This is my first, could any more experienced mums than me tell me if this is normal? Past few days I have had clusters of what feel like period cramps in the evening, normally lasts for a couple of hours and then disappears by around 2 am. They are painful but really irregular and no real pattern other than the time of day. No blood, baby is moving fine. Braxton Hicks? They havent hurt before the last few days. Feels like a silly thing to contact the; midwives about. Im 39 weeks so I know he could come any time now.

catinthehat12 · 01/02/2022 22:39

@apricotoreos I can’t tell you if it’s normal really as this is my first too, but I get period pains for a few hours most days and have done since about 36 weeks. I often get them at night. They are mild enough that I sleep through them and only notice them if I wake up to wee. I get all sorts of period type cramping these days, some in waves but mild and sometimes continuous cramping pain that can really be quite sharp. None of which sticks around long enough for me to be concerned. Movements are still good and I have either a midwife appointment or a growth scan each week (alternating) that hasn’t picked up anything concerning. My thoughts are that it’s just part of those last few weeks of pregnancy and your body getting prepared. Would be interested to hear from others too though!

C-section booked in 5 days!! Because baby is breech and tried everything to turn her around, but shes a stubborn one 😂

kisaki333 · 02/02/2022 07:59

Hi ladies! My little girl also arrived last week. She was due in Feb but actually came on 27 January so not even sure if this is the right thread for me anymore! She was born at 37+1 via c-section. Everything went well and we are both doing fine it's just that she is really small (only 1.9kg at birth) . In my case the growth scans were quite accurate, as they estimated her to be 1.8 a week prior to birth.

MollyQueenOfSocks · 02/02/2022 09:23

I've been so delirious this past week I can't remember if I updated it nor!

After getting admitted and treated for clots with covid, baby was delivered by elcs a day earlier than planned on 27th January at midday.

It's not been easy since then. On top of recovering from covid, he has a tongue tie and wasn't getting any milk. He developed Jaundice and his weight got static. Baby blues have hit me incredibly hard (I believe in part because of how ill I am, feeling like I failed to feed him in the first day or so) and although I am much better I still have covid symptoms, one of which is an awful cough which after a csection feels bloody awful!

Not the lovely relaxed experience I envisioned but I am so in love with him, regardless of how hard things have been so far!

Our little ones are birthday buddies! My boy was also 37+1 on 27th :)

Congratulations, and I hope your little lady thrives Thanks

haidri · 02/02/2022 12:57

Hi ladies I'm 39 weeks tomorrow & suddenly experiencing contractions in my lower back and till the thighs.

My mucus hasn't released & nor have my waters. Baby's in head down position and I've got an anterior placenta.

Has anyone experienced these severe pains in lower back?

apricotoreos · 02/02/2022 13:18

@haidri This was me last night! I was convinced I was going into labour and then it tailed off again at about 4 am. No position was comfortable and it was radiating down my legs as you describe. No advice to give I'm afraid, only sympathy.

Big congratulations to all of you who have brought your babies into the world so far! I hope you are getting some lovely cuddles with them.

PissedOffNeighbour22 · 02/02/2022 14:37

My CS has been moved forward by a week due to transverse unstable lie and a risk of cord prolapse. I'm booked in for this Friday now so hopefully it will all go ok.
My DD has come down with a cold despite neither of us having it (yet) and she doesn't go anywhere we aren't with her, so that's great timing. She sneezed straight into my mouth earlier so can't see me not catching it.

haidri · 02/02/2022 18:15

@apricotoreos so what was the pain? If it wasn't labour what was it? 😖

Winterfellismyhome · 02/02/2022 19:05

Congratulations @MollyQueenOfSocks

Congratulations everyone! Lovely to hear your wee ones have arrived safely xx

I think I'm in the grips of a little last minute panic: I made the moses basket and bedside crib up this morning with freshly washed bedding and suddenly felt the terror of the reality that I'm going to have a small person in them in less than two weeks time and I have no idea what I'm doing and what have I done?!

Anyone else experienced similar?

Dogt17 · 03/02/2022 08:12

@KiwiDramaQueen not sure if this is your first or not. This is my second, I’m due in less than 2 weeks now and full on panic is setting in. I just don’t feel ready at all lol in fact I’m not ready. I’m hoping to be a lot more prepared after this weekend so hopefully he stays put at least until after then! 😆

BabyFeb22 · 03/02/2022 09:16

@KiwiDramaQueen FTM and the exact same happened to me yesterday! We've recently moved so everything was in her room but last night we decided to actually sort it out and put the cot up (Moses basket has been in our room since moving) but yeah the cot being built I just sat on the floor and burst into tears 😂 I also did the same when I packed the hospital bag, think it's the reality of it feel like we've been waiting so long that in my head I'll be pregnant forever 😂

Golden179 · 03/02/2022 10:24

36+4 lost my mucus plug had contraction for few days and very noisey belly how you all doing

Golden179 · 03/02/2022 10:29

Back pain and contractions then cervical pains 3 days then plug came out then chilled for 2 now mild contractions and a lot of bubbling

becarefuloutthere · 03/02/2022 12:15

@Golden179 what's your midwife or labour ward said?
@KiwiDramaQueen yes! More and more now that's it getting closer 😬 also due in two weeks roughly and FTM so the reality is setting in. Last day at work today and then I need to finally pack this hospital bag 🙈

winterbabyrose · 03/02/2022 13:12

Just thought I'd join if possible! Been on the January '22 thread since June (my due date was 30th January) but as I'm now 40+4 looks like I'm having a February baby! Is anyone else in a similar situation?
