@Kate105 I did that too when DD was a baby, literally thought she would bleed to death as it didn't stop bleeding for about an hour 🙈 its awful but silver linings not being reported to SS 😂 and TSD will never know!

@Juno231 ooo really I never associated fevers with it, that sounds awful for you 😞 hopefully the pains will come good and she'll be taller than me as I'm small. Yes I remember now the NIPT, I think pregnancy brain is creeping in.

@becarefuloutthere happy last day in the office, that's exciting. Do you have anything planned whilst on mat leave pre baby or just making the most of the peace, quiet and relaxation?

Pregnancy rage this morning at DH, do any of have to threaten your DHs with things? 😆 I've asked him for 3 months if he could get the car seat out my car to have a look at it as the harness doesn't always tighten and gets stuck, I could do it myself but seeing as I'm carrying his child I thought he could. This morning I spent 20 minutes messing about with it in the pissing rain and gales to get DD to nursery, had to climb in the boot to take it all out to fix it. So I've removed it from the car and told him I am not doing any travelling with DD in my car until he looks at it, he can do the ferrying about tonight as I'm car seat less 💁🏼‍♀️

@kaylsd I still need to finish the second season but am so excited about the third! The NIPT results should take 5-7 business days from today. So next Tuesday-Thursday? When is your 12 week scan booked in for again?

New season of Ozark is out this week I think 🎉

@becarefuloutthere I haven't done any perineum massage as I didn't with DS and I only had a graze with him.

@bez91 my DS has had years of bad growing pains in his legs. It got a whole lot worse when he started primary school and they had to sit cross legged on the carpet. He finally grew out of them a year or two ago. Hope your DD is feeling better

@Minster2012 I'm hanging in there just! Freedom day tomorrow! I woke up at 1am last night with a bit of back ache and period pain and thought maybe a couple of tightenings. Enough so I downloaded a contraction timer app and then fell back asleep and have woken up still pregnant 🤨 I have decided this evening would be a really, really good time to give birth, if she can wait till midnight I can go to the MLU up the road 🙏🏼 but I mean beggars can't be choosers, I'd give birth in the car if I had to 😂

I'm not enjoying this chat @Crazydoglady123 @bez91 I need to know that TSD will be sleeping through from like 4 months (could maybe stretch to 6) and that will be it forever. I really don't need to hear that things don't improve until your child is 35 😂

Spent this morning googling "how much paracetamol can you give babies in a week" and feeling glad that SS are so understaffed that they will never be able to check my internet search history, should they ever wish to investigate poor little TSD and his wonky finger... he's still bloody up half the night and we are firing through the Calpol like there's no tomorrow. If I wasn't dead before now, I definitely am as if this morning. RIP me. Family flowers only, donations care of TSD to help fund the development of Pro Plus Calpol

@Kate105 well I'm hoping for you that TSD is different to my DA. He was THE BEST sleeper as a baby/toddler. It was probably from about 4 my sleep went downhill. He is 10yo and STILL wakes me up most nights either "mum, I'm hot" "mum I can't sleep" or sleep talking/shouting 🙄 Oh and never feel guilty about Calpol...it's your best friend 🤣

Girls I'm so so sorry I've been terrible at keeping up. My parents and brother all had covid so lost my support network for 3 weeks so i spiralled down. I'm going through my birth trauma therapy and it's awful, so difficult but it will make things better.

@kaylsd it doesn't start today sadly, two weeks tomorrow! Today is just last day going into the office (I commute to London)

I hate that @becarefuloutthere - with DS I essentially stropped out a week earlier than planned as they all pissed me off too much!

YES @bez91 I've taken to just half doing it badly and then he gets all like 'oh I would have done that'....like fuck you would have done!

@Kate105 DS didn't sleep through until about 6mo and then until he was about 18mo he'd wake up once a week ish but since then he's been golden and asks to go to bed often...I'm hoping he stays like this!

@kaylsd Afterlife is on our list, we've got a bit obsessed with an Australian reality construction show called the block 🤦🏻‍♀️ so need to finish that first.

I had the second half of my booking in appt yesterday, had to be weighed and whoops I'm heavier than I thought 😬😬😬 (all three times I've got pregnant I've been intending to go on a diet). She took a million test tubes of blood for various things and now I'm just waiting on letter for 12 week scan. Trying to decide whether to have the flu jab or not, erring on not as we're coming out of flu season and I'm not really going anywhere anyway!

I'm pleased that This is Us is back, I love it, saved the first two episodes to watch back to back but now it feels like a long wait until there's more!

@larrythelizard I had four blood vials taken on Monday and one yesterday so surely I must've lost weight no? 😂. I hear you on the weight loss, I wanted to be a stone lighter for this pregnancy! Maybe even 2 stone.

Had my flu jab back in sep so that's done and dusted but must admit I had no idea about the whooping cough after week 20!

@larrythelizard yeah it's like let me go not stressed to the hills thanks! It's a blessing and a curse being able to wfh!
I didn't get the flu jab either as I knew they'd end up bringing the booster forward so I just had that instead and they've stopped asking me now.

@becarefuloutthere whoop last day commuting yeahhhhhhhh!! Will they try turn her? Do they do that now?! No idea 🤣

@bez91 yeah pretty often tbh, usually it's just laziness & forgetting but I've def started to ramp up my demands for call to action as I'm just sooooo knackered atm. I had awful growing pains as a tweenager, to the point my shoulders got mysterious bruises on them after exercising, was awful for my parents as I guess they got a lot of questions about potential abuse but now they think it was likely my blood clotting disorder

@Crazydoglady123 😂🤣woke up still pregnant!! Yay for freedom tomorrow but let's hope you don't give birth in a car eh? Awful mess to clear up I would imagine

@Kate105 voice of reason over here...DS slept soundly for a good two years. The toddler years have slightly changed that but he just wakes up, needs us to find a teddy or answer a stupid question then he goes back to sleep. I'm sending lots of virtual caffeine to you & I've heard all the SS officers in your area are off with covid anyway so don't worry

You were up at 6 @Minster2012 so I think that's very productive. I'm currently working in my oodie in an effort to not have the heating on so much. Have they checked your iron levels recently?

Attempted to clear up some paint I sprinkled on the bath when painting in the summer with some 99.99% rubbing alcohol. That's definitely how to make the nausea worse 🤢🤢🤢🤢

Alice is doing SO well @becarefuloutthere thank you for asking. She was weighed on Monday and is 14lb 12oz now 😁 still a little dot in 0-3 months clothes still and she's 5 months and 1 week now lol x

Downs results. Can I ask what other people's were? Mine is 1 in 3500. Whilst this isn't high, its not exactly risk free either. I'm not sure how worried i should be? I can't remember what anyone else said theirs was?

@larrythelizard if that was the case then they're deffo just being greedy because they told us about the house they want and where it was etc so obviously I found it this morning and it was less than the asking price of their house and our offer is over their asking price so they have plenty of money, I'm getting agitated😂 rubbing alcohol🤢 don't be doing thst again!! @paintfairy You got them back quick!! When was your scan again? I can't remember other women's results so I can't be of any help sorry!! I'd still say it's a low risk, but us pregnant women worry about everything right?

Okay so STILL NOTHING from the estate agents, I'm honestly about to lose my shit!! They rushed us to get our final offers in and all our proof of funds, deposit, ID etc because they said they wanted to get it done and sorted, yet here we are 24 hours after giving our offer and still haven't heard anything!! This is torture!!

God I'm soooooooo unmotivated today.

@larrythelizard A booking app in 2 parts eh. Im a bit like that on the weight, with the MCs I put on weight with a couple of those pregnancies so I feel like my baby weight is more than just this pregnancy 🙈

@kaylsd we are currently watching afterlife. I don't want to cry! So far I haven't. But have in other seasons. When we were watching older ones it was not long after my dad died and I found it extra hard.

@larrythelizard I got asked about the flu jab today and I think it was frowned upon i haven't had it. But I thought the same? We both wfh and barely see anyone so the risk isn't exactly high? And it seems a bit pointless now. If it were November then yes I'd maybe get it. I said I'd get the whopping cough one though @Juno231 they said after 16 weeks to me though?
@Vil10 Jesus, the estate agents! And I only got my results because I had an extra appointment (I'll update on that below) and I was there. So I asked. If you don't ask, you don't get, right? So I know there won't be a phone call, just the letter. So we'll see how long that takes!

So- my mystery appointment today (got the letter at the same time as my 12 week scan letter) was for the pre-term labour clinic. This was due to (didn't know) me mentioning the ivf consultant said I had a heart shaped womb. The hospital are questioning it because it was never picked up there at the hsg or scans but since he measured it and everything, I'm not sure he made it up? Another scan lady after that also mentioned it. Anyway they can't really check now, so have to assume it is. It means some internal scans to check cervix going along and then additional scans after 28 weeks to check growth. With a few other bits. So maybe no bad thing? Apart from the inconvenience. I did have the choice to have no extras if I preferred but I said as long as its nothing harmful then I'm OK with it. They were of course running 45 minutes late and that was not ideal. Whilst there I just cheekily asked about the screening results and they were on the computer, which is why I got them early.

@paintfairy mines came back at 1 in 2500. Not sure what your age is but I assume you are above 30? For context...

'A 25-year-old woman has a one in 1,200 chance of having a baby with Down syndrome. By 35 years of age, the risk increases to one in 350—and it becomes one in 100 by age 40.'

So I'd say anything in the thousands is very good when you are aged above 30!

@2020mission yes, she did say based on age alone my risk would be much higher. If they didn't factor the other stuff in. I'm 38 (39 tomorrow in fact 🤣). But obviously if everything else is good, it brings your risk down. I knew my measurement was ok as its on my notes (1.5mm) but the bloods can sway it massively. Clearly mine weren't awful. 🤷‍♀️
