As I'm avoiding doing any of the useful stuff I should be doing I thought I'd just pop another sidecar up x

@Kate105, I have also sliced DD’s finger when she was around 3 months. So traumatised that it became DH’s job and I have only JUST started doing toes again - DD is nearly 4 years old 🙈

@Minster2012 @larrythelizard ha it's the same place as my last scan so luckily I know not to take my pants off unless asked to and that the gel is heated! They saw nothing abdominally at 8 weeks due to my womb tilting backwards so I hope I won't have to take my pants off today as well!

@vil10 that's mental how quickly that progressed! What kind of house is it - new/old/detached etc? Best of luck!

@Juno231 isn't it!! I put the first offer in at 9, OH put the best and final in around 11 and now we're just waiting to hear back, it's crazy the market at the minute!! It's an old semi detached! For reference when I say old, it's got a lovely big window at the top of the stairs with stain glass running through it, and the back of the house looks over the golf green, main bedroom has a little balcony with French doors looking over the garden and the green🥺

@Juno231 I mean in this country I'm not sure how often I'll get to sit out on there but the dreams there😂

On the stretch mark front mine have come out only on one side where my lap scar is bigger so one to look out for @Juno231! I can't find my bio oil annoyingly so have ordered some more today. It does work for fading thankfully. Good luck for later!

@Haiyaa hope growth scan goes well, my final one will be next week at 36 weeks. 35 weeks today and got such a good video of her moving last night, think I'll put it on insta actually.

Has anyone in the third trimester used any perineum oil or similar? Unsure whether to buy any or just use olive oil or just massage without? Do you think it helped if you did use any/do massage?

@vil10 omg I hate you, that sounds amazing 😆😆 I really need to move out of London! I hope you get it and that all goes smoothly.

@becarefuloutthere I'd go for something with vitamin E in it for max effect lol. I've read that although any organic oil like almond oil or whatever is technically an option - some of them might make you a lot more prone to thrush so I'd perhaps stick to a perineal oil just in case? Lansinoh, myexpertmidwife and the natural birthing company all seem to have decent ones? Oh and before you buy - make sure you can reach! My friend failed miserably at that 🤣

@becarefuloutthere I did some perineum massage/stretching from about 35 weeks. Usually daily when in the shower. I sometimes used KY jelly but didn't use any oil or anything. Not sure if it was worth it as they ended up giving me a small episiotomy at the bottom corner during pushing but I didn't have any additional tears and it is a small cut that has pretty much healed up now (3 weeks on) so who knows if it would have ended up worse without the effort? If you have the time there's no harm I say.

Good luck with the house @Vil10 🤞 my house hunting is parked until my maternity leave is over unfortunately! Hoping by later this year the market will have calmed down 😅 I'll be job hunting in a few months so I can hopefully move to a better job on a bigger salary which might help with bidding.

All went well with the scan! Baby was very wriggly, flapping its arms and legs and jumping around. It's measuring 10+4 vs my conception date of 10+1 so it's ahead still. Didn't manage to take any good pics though as it was sort of facing the wand so no side profiles - plus there wasn't a single screen where we could see its entirety. It was either torso+head or legs but not all of it lol.

Had to do it up the foof again due to my tilted uterus!

I’m a Lincs immigrant - no webbed toes yet but then I do manage to spend a lot of time away from my house, mostly thanks to my very loud neighbours! I couldn’t afford a Manor House though…

@Juno231 hahaha Thankyou!! So glad the scan went well and you saw the arms and legs flapping🥺 at my last scan I was 9+5/9+6 and we could see the little stubby arms moving around so I can't even imagine seeing the legs too, melts my heart😂

@2020mission thankyou!! I don't even blame you, it's such a stress at the minute the market, people are getting more greedy and there's so much competition!! Oooo that'll help then! All go for you!!

So very annoying, we've both been waiting on the call for the house all day, got to 4 so OH rang the estate agents and they said the owners hadn't made a decision yet🙄 hoping it's between us and someone else though because surely they'd have said already if our offer had been declined?? Now to wait until tomorrow, it's making me so anxious!

@Kate105 🤣 OMG. Poor baby. No wonder he was grumpy. 🙈 Yeah I'm sure you aren't the first person to ever do that so I reckon SS would be over run with calls if they were called for such things. 🤣 I would like to think I could cope with reusable nappies. Sounds like they wash ok.

@larrythelizard ahh I see, I wonder if there is no conclusion they'll say there's no reason why you can't have a VBAC if that's what you want?

@Kate105 going to look at those wipes, being able to scrape more off certainly sounds beneficial, you can use a lot of disposable wipes for a small 💩 😆

@becarefuloutthere I did perineum massage with my DD, I didn't use any specific oil, I think maybe just a bit of lube 🙈 I needed an episiotomy anyway because they needed to get her out of quick so I suppose just based on that I won't be doing it again as it was a waste of time personally but some women must find it useful and beneficial so if you have the time, go for it.

@Juno231 fabulous on the scan! Was this another private one before your nhs scan? Tilted uterus here too, I just find on the abdo scans they have to press down quite hard at times which is uncomfortable

@Vil10 oh gosh the suspense! I read earlier and thought by the time I came back on you'd know so I bet it's killing you, fingers crossed for you 🤞🏼

Manic few days here and DDs sleep is terrible 🤦🏼‍♀️ not her fault tbf as it seems she's having really bad growing pains in her legs but could do without being up for hours providing round the clock massages and playing musical beds 😩

@Juno231 I was fine over the weekend so went back to work yesterday, but the cramps kind of ramped up as the day went on. Actually woke me up in the night and I had a couple of big bleeds too so wfh today with my electric heat cushion permanently pressed to my belly. Should get some codeine tomorrow as I’m seeing the dr anyway, hopefully that will help. I got a call this morning from the ob/gyn consultant’s office and she is seeing me for even more blood tests the week after next. Fingers crossed they actually find something that my body is doing wrong and we can fix!

@Juno231 so pleased it's all well (except the up the foof bit and not getting good pictures) that's awesome! Proper baby!! I'm going boy 🤔❤️

@Sunbird24 eek that doesn't sound great - I hope it eases up ASAP. I'm also really glad they're running a bunch of tests on you - did they collect the embryo as well for testing?

@bez91 aw poor DD! Growing pains are no fun. I used to get high fevers for a couple of days every time I had a growth spurt and would basically wake up at the end of it an inch taller - kinda sounds easier than aching like your DD :/ . This was my NIPT scan btw!

@becarefuloutthere I can confirm that buying massage oil and looking at it in the bathroom cabinet does not help anything...! Small tear and a EMCS here!

Sounds positive @Sunbird24 that they're looking into things instead of sort of shrugging at you. Hope the pain doesn't ramp up too much and you've got friends nearby to being you supplies when needed

@Juno231 yes, consultant seems to think the extra blood test results will come back around the same time as the karyotyping results. It was 9 weeks last time, which puts me towards the end of March.

@Juno231 I'm always just pleased to see it's still there! 🤣 The rest is just a bonus.

I had my final acupuncture session tonight. Don't need any more. I'll miss not going and chatting to the lady- she was kind of helpful to sound off to. 🤣 She said to keep her updated with baby progress though.

@Juno231 see I was worried about thrush issues! My expert MW was the one that keeps showing up on my targeted ads, it's the only reason I knew about this massage! Good tip with actually being able to reach it's been a while since I've messed about down there 😂

@2020mission ooh I have leftover lube I could use, good tip, thanks! 3 weeks is great healing time! It does seem pointless if I might be cut anyway 😬 but like you say, no harm done if I do!

@larrythelizard haha I do have a habit of buying stuff, storing it, and never using it which is why I held off so long! I like the lube idea so think I'm doing that and save my money!

If any ones watched after life the new season wow!!! I sat and sobbed for the whole episode 6, DH also cried beside me at some parts! How beautifully written! Got my booking appointment today hoping for it to be a positive experience similar to the girls who’s just had there’s already 😘 hope everyone’s alright!
