As I'm avoiding doing any of the useful stuff I should be doing I thought I'd just pop another sidecar up x

Minster2012 · 07/01/2022 21:31

And @Vil10 🥰🥰🥰🥰🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🤩fantastic news so awesome. How many tears?

blackcurrantqueen · 07/01/2022 21:52

@paintfairy oh god I meant sleepyhead sorry 😂😂😂

@Minster2012 pickles... yum. But mainly when pregnant. With DD my thing was pastrami and sweet mustard pickle bagels/sandwiches etc. YUMMMMM

paintfairy · 07/01/2022 22:21

@blackcurrantqueen 🤣 Don't confuse me any more than I already am.

DKDK123 · 08/01/2022 04:30

@paintfairy on talk of family/friends always having an opinion on what you do with your baby, the line that used to bug me (usually coming from grandparents/aunties generation) was 'In my days we never had such guidelines to follow and I had x amount of children who were all fine' when they had an opinion on something I was/wasn't doing with baby or they though I was being overly cautious about something 🤦‍♀️ In the end I started replying back with 'in your days there weren't seatbelts in cars and just because your kids didn't die doesn't mean that thousands others didn't that could have been prevented. Same with (whatever things they were claiming i was being overly cautious about) so I'd rather be safe than sorry and have an alive baby thank you very much' ......that usually shut them up for a while so keep that one up your sleeve 😂

Glad to hear you're slowly feeling more alive @lexber but keep resting up as much as you can. It's hard work growing one tiny human let alone two and while feeling shit!

@Vil10 great news that all was well, was your mum really emotional?

We were driving back from my mums yesterday and I started to feel a really heavy cramp then wet. I was utterly convinced it was blood but still had 60miles left till we got home so didn't say anything to DH as didn't want to worry him till I knew as he was the one doing the driving. Spent the whole journey in fear only to get home and find out it wasn't blood just random heavy discharge, phew! Think I'm going to be on hyper alert from now on because I know in less than 4 weeks time is when all the bleeding started with DS so I'm just kind of waiting for the inevitable. This is going to be a fun, stress free 4 months left I'm sure 🙄😣

Vil10 · 08/01/2022 08:22

@blackcurrantqueen she just kept asking the woman scanning to go back over to the heartbeat so we could listen to it, and she kept it together really well, then we got in the car and she was a blubbering mess bless her😂😂 then cried again whilst on the phone to her mum!

@paintfairy Thankyou!

@Minster2012 thankyou!!! Lots of tears, not sure who cried more me or my mum, we managed to hold it in until after in the car though, OH even made a comment when she was showing us the heartbeat "bloody hell im surprised you've both got dry eyes" 😂

@DKDK123 so so emotional!! She loves this little cashew so much already, it melts my heart🥺 I've had that so many times already!! Soo much discharge and I've convinced myself it's blood!! I know it's easier said than done but try and enjoy it and not stress, how many week are you now again?

bez91 · 08/01/2022 09:22

@blackcurrantqueen I think that's baby brain already right? I think we still have DDs Sleepyhead, I forgot about that they're bloody expensive too!

That's good news @DKDK123 it's a horrible feeling. I never remember this when pregnant with DD but I have those gushes quite frequently and it's like woahh😳

Oooh what a loved cashew already @Vil10 your mum sounds the sweetest ❤️

Day 6 for me and still testing positive but first day I'm loving life. DHs day 7 so he's testing later and he'll likely be negative which means he's got to play mum tomorrow; take DD to her dance class then a 4 year old party tomorrow full of screaming little girls in princess costumes so he'll likely be the only bloke there. I'm loving it 😆

@clolo that's lovely! I had one night of feeling movements then that's it, gone again now...am I worried?? Yep of course 😢

@DKDK123 that sounds scary but so pleased it was a gush of discharge, I def think also for you this pregnancy is a means to an end but it will be ok, Emily is here to stay & it may not be that you start bleeding again in the next few weeks

@bez91 please send DH in a princess outfit too 🤪😆is it your birthday today or tomorrow?

@Vil10 so lovely 🥰

I'm in a blurgh mood today. Feel crap & 3rd night of washing pissy pjs sheets/duvets, it's tipping it down with rain. House is a state
I'm with the f*ck it mentality today

@Minster2012 omg that table 🤤
@Lexber hope you feel better soon ❤️‍🩹
@Vil10 aww 🥰 that's amazing! So happy for you 🥲
@DKDK123 oh bless you, what a fright! Will they monitor you more than usual due to past history?
@bez91 same for Dh, he's still positive on day 8 I think this is. I'm negative still 🙌🏾 glad you're loving life now, lol to your dhs princess day tomorrow, I bet he'll secretly love it!
@clolo ah so sweet! It's the best feeling, until they're really intense and you're like ow stop it now 😆
@Minster2012 pj day for you it sounds then! I'm still in mine 🙈

Kate105 · 08/01/2022 11:35

Ah @Minster2012 he's anything but tiny 😂 although a shortarse like his parents so just chunky really...

He did it again last night @bez91 so now it's one good night, one bad on repeat and he's definitely fucking with me here!

I can't remember who was asking (perhaps @paintfairy ?) but we also contravene safe sleep guidance by putting TSD up to bed (in a sidecar cot, Tutti Bambini one borrowed from a friend which we really like) at like 7pm and we leave him with the monitor until we come up and join him at 10ish (lol 9:30 latest, who are we kidding). We've been doing that since he was about 6 weeks old because he just seemed to need to go to bed! He definitely sleeps better without us and he's started waking up when we come to bed, even though we're creeping round the room in silent darkness like loons, so I am tempted to chuck him out into his cot in his own room if we ever when we sort the party arm issue.

Also TSD is a clingy fucker and I would have died of exhaustion by now if it wasn't for the carrier. Started with a fabric wrap when he was tiny, now onto a buckle harness and hoik him around in it most of the day. He likes to nap in it too.

Great news @Vil10 and @larrythelizard how lovely ❤️

paintfairy · 08/01/2022 12:01

@Kate105 how old is TSD now? I think many people break the rules. My friend had both of hers in their own room by 3-4 months old. It just depends on your circumstances. But then that doesn't mean you have to be careless with it. Putting them up to bed earlier than you go is probably also less of an issue now days as many people have those video baby monitors, so actually you can see they are ok?
Talking of baby carriers. I did have a question about those. There's a billion different sling type things on the market and I've no idea what's what. But when I see them all tied on- my only thought is - how easy are they to put on yourself (alone) whilst trying to hold a baby in place? 🤔 Are they actually easy to use?
@DKDK123 I can't believe you are still doing 4.30am replies. 🤣 And yes I'm well expecting the 'it was ok in my day' things and I can imagine it'll become quite wearing. Particularly when it'll literally come from all directions. 🙄 At the end of the day it's irrelevant which day we are in- its my baby and I'll do what I want with it. I'm very much a gather all the info and then make decisions for yourself type person. I don't just do what everyone else is doing but at the same time not everything from the old days is relevant now. My mum already said she didn't stop drinking tea (when I said I can only have 2 a day) or follow any of that. To be honest I'm not sure easy the caffeine based studies even are but it makes sense not to have too much of any one thing anyway. Ever. That being said I am eating not fully cooked steak tonight..... 😁 My only issue is that I'm not good at being polite telling people to piss off. My mum at least is used to me. Other people less so.......
@bez91 ooohhh i hope you get photos of the party! 🤣
@clolo how far are you? I can't wait to feel things and have a bigger bump. I know its way off yet though but I'm impatient! 🤣
@Minster2012 vile here today. 🌧 Its hard to be motivated when it's miserable. And my symptoms have calmed right down too, which you always question. Yet I hate having them. 🤣 I think mine were worse at 6-9 weeks. As I started getting to 10 they were much less and now (nearly 12) I don't actually have much of anything. Permanently hungry. Veiny boobs. Dark nipples. But not much else. Better than throwing up everywhere i guess! You'll start feeling stuff soon though.

Minster2012 · 08/01/2022 13:07

@clolo I think we need a bump shot!!

@Kate105 we moved DS into his own room cos he was waking when we went up, & also he was "snuffling" a bit as on stirring then back to sleep, so I'd get up thinking he needed something but no he was just moving around so it was worse sleep for us & him (& his room was cooler than ours during the heatwave).

@clolo lovely you're starting to feel things 🥰 I've just started to use the kicks count app now movement is more regular

@Minster2012 I think you need a chilled sofa day, any chance of that? My birthday is Monday ☺️

@becarefuloutthere well done on dodging it! DD never tested positive despite being on top of us all week 🤷‍♀️ with you on the kicking, it's the ones that shock you when you're in the middle of doing something 😆

@Kate105 day on day off sounds a workable pattern but I'm sure it'll soon change 🤦🏼‍♀️

Minster2012 · 08/01/2022 14:17

@bez91 I'm doing a mixture of house sorting stuff & chilling out. Luckily DS being pretty compliant & playing nicely whilst I sort...by that I mean he's got all his toys out in his room but that's ok if he's staying busy

It's a wonder what you find when sorting though. These aren't from this time 😩

Minster2012 · 08/01/2022 14:18

@clolo looking forwards to it!

paintfairy · 08/01/2022 17:29

@clolo oohh, it'll be interesting to see where my placenta is then. Hopefully they'll tell me at the scan.

I kept saying I'll post a scar update. Here it is! Obviously one day the colour will go out of it, so it'll look less obvious. But the fact it's stretched and raised won't fix. I think I've got crap skin. My brother had a big op as a kid and his healed horrendously. It was so wide and raised that they ended up cutting it off and trying it again. 🤢 It was a bit better the second time and they have him silicon sheets to use from the beginning. But obviously this is a concern for me if I had to have a c-section. It certainly wouldn't be pretty......

Minster2012 · 08/01/2022 21:08

I'm literally sobbing at beauty & the beast here. There is no hope 😂

Vil10 · 09/01/2022 08:30

@bez91 aw she really is!! She's going to make the most amazing grandma!! (Even though she doesn't want to be grandma, she said it sounds too old) 😂 sorry you're still testing positive but at least you can chill today while DH takes DD to all her events!!

@clolo @Kate105 @becarefuloutthere Thankyou🥰

@clolo ohhh that's so lovely!!!

@Minster2012 I feel ya on that one!! I feel like the house is constantly a state when the weather is bed because of the dogs, but there's boxes everywhere too from trying to pack, and everything is just everywhere it's stressing me out!!

Went to a friends baby shower yesterday and it was lovely, managed to wing that I wasn't drinking and nobody batted an eye lid as to why I wasn't! Also got some possibly exciting news, was talking to a friend there who I've known for years and know the family, she started telling me her dad bought a house last year and has fully renovated it himself (I actually remember seeing the house on rightmove and they were a mess so he's done a good job) and it's in the exact area we're looking at, he's put an extension on, and it has everything we want and are looking for and in the perfect location too!! She told me what he thought it would be valued at and it's in our budget!! He still needs to have it valued but he does this with houses a lot so guessing he won't be far out, she said he's just finishing off the painting and then it'll be ready so she told him we're interested and gave me his number and he said we can go round and look at it in a week or so!! I feel so excited and really don't want to get my hopes up but this could be it🤞🏼🤞🏼 she sent me some pictures of what she had and it was the extension and bi folds and the kitchen half done and it's just perfect!!

feliznavidad2 · 09/01/2022 09:41

Have been reading but posted ladies

@bez91 glad you're feeling brighter, hopefully you'll be negative soon. 🤞🏻 🤞🏻

@paintfairy bless you; glad you're over the surgery pre-buns though. And as you say, it'll fade. It is a big scar though x

@clolo movements make it feel so much more real don't they? Can't wait to feel mine this time. 🥰

@Vil10 your mum sounds the cutest! So lovely that she's so involved too.

All ok here. Feel happier that it's sunny today - the weather impacts on my mood so much. I'm sort of trying to distract myself whilst awaiting the NIPT results - we're going to a local butterfly today 🦋 I'm more excited than DS or OH but... 🤷‍♀️

Have a good Sunday all.

DKDK123 · 09/01/2022 09:41

@Vil10 I'm 20 weeks now. It was 24weeks it all started to go pear shaped with DS so although I know this one may be different (🤞🤞🤞) it's also in the back of my mind that I'm rapidly approaching the time where it started to go wrong last time.

@bez91 not so good on the still testing positive but the silver linings of getting out the kids party today and dance class are pretty good, make the most of the peace!

@Minster2012 hope today's a better day for you, if not declare a PJ and netflix day. Definitely a hormone hit sobbing at beauty and the beast. We watched Armageddon last night and I was sobbing within the first half hour as I remembered what happens in the end 😂 Damn hormones.

@becarefuloutthere yea the consultant already said they're expecting things to follow quite a similar pattern so I'll be closely monitored. From the start of March I'll be getting meetings with the consultant and scans approx every 2-3weeks. Closer to the time they may decide to keep me in hospital. I was in from 30 weeks with DS as they had to do numerous tests every day and it was on a day to day basis if DS was coming out that day or not. Luckily he managed to hang on inside for another 5 weeks before they called time.

@paintfairy I haven't slept through the night since about 6weeks pregnant. I try not to go on my phone when I wake most nights in the hope I fall back asleep but other nights I think fuck it's pointless hence the 4am replies 😂
Nice battle wound. I wouldnt worry too much if you need a section, I don't think anyone other than DH has seen my belly since I gave birth to DS, and if you're lucky enough not to have a mum tum and want to show off your stomach then rock the scar and wear it with pride!

@vil10 That sounds so promising on the house, I really hope this is the one for you! 🤞

Minster2012 · 09/01/2022 09:41

@Vil10 that sounds fantastic, and it's in his benefit if he can sell it without estate agents involved you can work out how much that would save him 🤞🏻🤞🏻by that stage you will have had your scan & could always tell your friend which could be passed onto him which may help sway things 😉. Surely you are the perfect candidate to do dry January as an excuse for not drinking seeing as you are mega healthy?

@bez91 I'm sure SH will love his princess party day, how are you actually feeling?

@clolo 👀👀bumpie!
