Thanks @lucyrp x

bez91 · 02/12/2021 08:02

Thanks @lucyrp I hadn't realised the number!

@clolo yes 20 week scan 😬 I'm 20 weeks on Christmas Day.

@paintfairy I know I'm surprised it went ahead, it's wasn't even my departments Christmas do, it was a department I used to work in a year ago and never had a leaving do so it was a Christmas come leaving do 😆 I think a lot of people have cancelled theirs

@DKDK123 that phantom limb pain I can never get my head around. My brother in law has half a thumb after an accident and he has loads of phantom pain. Didn't know that about PP though so that's good to know!

@Minster2012 2 more sleeps for you! It seems to have gone quite quickly since the 12 week scans we had close together.

Both DH and DD saw/felt baby move this morning which was nice, feels a bit more real

Thanks @lucyrp just place marking! We slept in until 7:30 this morning so I'm feeling FRESHHHHHHH

Justanothercyster · 02/12/2021 08:58

Thanks @lucyrp

I can't remember exactly who mentioned things but in terms of when to take the belly ring out, it depends on how uncomfortable you are really, I couldn't go past 20 weeks because mine was getting sore by that point.

So I just can't stop crying, since yesterday 😭 I think it's because I'm feeling overwhelmed with dh back at work as whenever I think about him that's when I start with the tears, but it sucks :(

Minster2012 · 02/12/2021 09:25

@Kate105 don't say things like that out loud, or it jinxes it 😂😂

@bez91 2 more sleeps yes & I really need it tbh. I'm feeling so miserable, meh & like for instance cba with Christmas but I think it's just cos I still feel so ill and need some good news to perk me up. Slightly better sleep last night but then woke up with a migraine do head pounding urgh fortunately my friend has offered to take DS to soft play. You can feel movements?! God that's amazing

@Justanothercyster it's a tough transition but we've got you, and let the tears come if they are coming ❤️

@clolo 4 months at Xmas that's lovely

Thank you for the thread @lucyrp 🥰

Btw another new cracking OG BFP on the main thread 🤞🏻

lucyrp · 02/12/2021 09:41

@bez91 I know we've been busy chatting recently! More OGs making their way over 🤪 exciting on the movements!

@Kate105 omg! Lucky you! We have to get up every morning ag half 6 to take OH to work so no lie ins for me 😂

I've got to travel an hour away for a retainer check with my orthodontist today and none of my friends could come with me incase Evelyn needs Anything while I'm there so hoping she behaves 😬

Thanks for the new bus @lucyrp I didnt even realise we were so close to being full, just as well one of us was on the ball!

@bez91 it's a bizarre concept isn't it. When my cousin woke up after having her leg amputated she said she couldn't sit up properly to look but because of the anaesthetic still in her system she couldn't feel the good leg at all it was still numb but she felt every bit of pain in her bad leg that they cut off, she could still feel like the leg was there right down to her toes and started screaming that they'd cut the wrong leg off, it must have been terrifying!
How sweet that your OH and DD got to see and feel baby move this morning 🥰 I can't wait till DS feels it tho I fear he may never leave me alone once he does 😂

Great lie in @kate105 🥳

@justanothercyster big hugs, it's hard when they go back to work but you've got this, you'll soon get into your own wee routine. Do you have family or friends around you that can pop in during the day to give you something to focus on?

@Minster2012 that's good that your friend is taking DS for a bit, hope you take the time to rest up. Exciting that your scan is nearly here 😁

I sobbed for ages after seeing another OG bfp, definitely going through a big hormonal surge as EVERYTHING is setting me off right now, and not just a tear or two we're talking ugly snotty sobbing for ages each time 🙈 The nausea and morning sickness has also reared its ugly head, 3 times already this morning I've been sick, I had an asda delivery this morning and had to abandon the guy to run and throw up half way through, pregnancy is so glamorous 🙈 15 weeks, dont know why I'm getting a massive surge at this point, trying to look on the positives that it must mean everything is still going well 🤷‍♀️

paintfairy · 02/12/2021 10:58

Just marking my place.
Fascinating to read about phantom bump movements! @Justanothercyster I think feeling that way is understandable. Big step.

2020mission · 02/12/2021 11:24

Aww @Justanothercyster it will get easier I'm sure. Just keep doing what you're doing!

So happy to see another OG BFP this morning! I'm hoping this thread will soon be the main bus if we can get everyone over 😃

Thanks for sorting us out with a new thread @lucyrp

blackcurrantqueen · 02/12/2021 11:25

Thanks for the new thread @lucyrp
I'm a lurker but enjoying the pregnancy chat
32 weeks this week and feeling huge and heavy!
Absolutely over the moon at the new OG BFPs I feel all warm and fuzzy and emosh this morning 😂

becarefuloutthere · 02/12/2021 12:10

Thanks @lucyrp for the new thread! Must catch up when I get a sec xx

Justanothercyster · 02/12/2021 14:31

Ahh that's the other one, I had phantom kicks the day or two after she was born but nothing since.

Thanks for the support 💞 we've had a walk this morning which helped.
@DKDK123 no family nearby unfortunately but I have some baby group friends that I've been seeing. I just miss "normal" sometimes I think, I'm surprisingly really missing work! Never thought I'd say that. I think I'll start tutoring just to keep myself sane.

@lucyrp hope she behaves!

Minster2012 · 02/12/2021 15:28

@clolo going to the Minster for midnight was a def thing when I was at college but I don't think I've done it since, so about 20 years ago, which is 😬😬😬

Phantom kicks! Whattttttttt all these things we never knew about 😂

Kate105 · 02/12/2021 17:09

Hope your first day flying solo went well today @Justanothercyster it's really hard isn't it! I was way more upset about it than I thought I'd be but it gets easier very quickly xxx

bez91 · 02/12/2021 18:34

@clolo ahhha that's you! I did wonder then I thought you must be called Chloe 😉😆

@Justanothercyster oh lovey, that first day without them is hard. It's being in charge of bloody everything and having to juggle it. Impossible job, as long as you and baby are fed and watered that's all that matters, don't try and be superwoman. If anything once you'll get into the swing of things you'll probably be annoyed that DH is in the way of your daily routines. I'm already asking DH how long he'll have off but only 2 weeks 😖 only thing that'll change that is if I have a section, he'll have to be more flexible to take DD to nursery if I can't drive.

@Minster2012 oh your friend is a legend! Are you still bunged up? I felt terrible last week with headaches but they have eased, I'm not sure how much was sinus related compared to pregnancy related.
Yes the baby is causing me a bit of jip with all the somersaults and causing pressure

@DKDK123 wow I can't even imagine that 😳 with you on the hormones. I've just sobbed because DD has a temperature 😂

Minster2012 · 02/12/2021 20:14

@lucyrp she'll do you proud 🥰

Pregnancy is anything but glamorous I've already learnt from others that too @DKDK123 you poor thing (& the Asda driver too not ideal for them 😂)

I think a lot of poo miss work @Justanothercyster because you lose your former identity a bit, if you can do a bit that would be great

@bez91 my friend was a total legend, and DS loved it. She brought him back when she went to collect her other 2 & she was like "they just played and I could tidy up all upstairs" so it helps her too, they are the best at entertaining each other!can't believe you've got movements, then maybe I will think it's real 😬

Minster2012 · 02/12/2021 22:02

Look at this...horrendous

To be absolutely LIVID about this email? http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/amiibeingunreasonable/4416090-To-be-absolutely-LIVID-about-this-email

Justanothercyster · 02/12/2021 22:07

@Kate105 @bez91 thanks! It's actually day 6 of solo though as he went back last Thursday 😢

@Minster2012 that's exactly it, I'm no longer me I'm just a milk dispenser lol
And whaaaaaat that email!!

bez91 · 03/12/2021 05:08

Wow that email 🤯 @Minster2012 the poor OP I wouldn't want to tell my DH either. How she describes him as a "penis" as if he walks around with it out. The same women will be preaching for equal women's rights I'm sure! Is that a thing though? Children playing together so you can tidy up, they usually just cause more mess in another part of the house 😆

Happy Friday all! Was supposed to be going to Manchester Christmas market today, spent weeks aligning work schedules for annual leave, day off nursery etc and of course DD has been up 4 hours unwell 🤦🏼‍♀️ anyone got weekend plans?

lucyrp · 03/12/2021 05:14

So ladies I'd thought I'd share my victory on here... after a tough start and feeding with breast shields for 3 months out of the blue yesterday Evelyn has started feeding straight from my nipple! 🥳🥳🥳 I hope it's not short lived as we've gone from not being able to feed without shields to doing every feed yesterday and through the night without them!

OP posts:
DKDK123 · 03/12/2021 06:54

@bez91 I swear little ones sense the excitement of plans made and choose that day to be ill ...... at least that's the way it always seems to work here too!
We're off to see Santa and some Christmas lights at the weekend and put our tree up so DS is going to be bouncing of the walls with over excitement 🤦‍♀️

Way to go @lucyrp and Evelyn! 🥳 Hopefully that's her now and you won't need to use them anymore

Justanothercyster · 03/12/2021 07:31

Well done both of you @lucyrp ! That's a victory indeed 🥳

Kate105 · 03/12/2021 07:37

Whoop whoop @lucyrp 🙌🏻🥳 hope you're on to a winner!

Minster2012 · 03/12/2021 08:15

I know @bez91 it's totally like he was walking around with it out! Hopefully he wasn't. Yeah our kids make a shit load of mess elsewhere but I've got a load of jobs done whilst them playing too, you just have to tell them to stick to their room & playroom, they play great these ones. Oh no on the weekend plans it's crap that is. We have our scan then DH at a rugby do all afternoon/evening and I've helped to organise a Christmas event in the playground/park next to us so DS & I are at that. DH then going away early Sunday til Thursday on his annual "fuck off with the boys" jaunt 🙄we might do some Christmassy stuff

@lucyrp BOOM YESSSS that's great!! Come on Evie!
