@clolo lightening crotch I'd say 🌩 or I prefer "fanny daggers" 😆 yes totally a thing. I have them occasionally when not pregnant for some reason but definitely a thing in pregnancy, nothing to worry about just annoying 😁

Kirky658 · 06/12/2021 12:28

@juno231 @sunbird24 @vil10 hello you lovely people ❤️👋

blackcurrantqueen · 06/12/2021 12:47

@paintfairy fybogel is a bulker, sounds like you need a different type of laxative. Something a bit stronger x

@Vil10 fab lines! Don't worry about the 3+ thing with lines like those! Xx

Bea14 · 06/12/2021 13:33

Hi all, hoping I can join in here too. Don't want to fill the other bus up with pregnancy chat. I'm currently 6+6 with our first baby. We had been trying for about 19 months, had one miscarriage in that time and had had an appointment at the fertility clinic and had dates in for investigations etc. Anyway we were delighted to fall pregnant again and things are looking much better this time as I had a lot of early bleeding last time which I haven't had at all this time.
As happy and grateful as I am to be pregnant I am feeling pretty miserable. I have been really struggling with nausea and food aversions. Lots of retching all day and finding it hard to eat anything. It got worse over the weekend and I have been vomiting lots. Woke up and vomited about 4 times last night. Woke up this morning and vomited multiple times. Same thing happened about an hour later. I have had to phone in sick to work as I am a teacher and I can barely get showered and dressed let alone teach my wee ones. Haven't been able to eat yet today and just taking small sips of water. I phoned the doctor who wants me to come in this afternoon to give a urine sample to check my ketones and hydration levels. She has also prescribed some anti sickness medicine. So going to give that a go. Don't know if anyone else has been through this can give any advice? I've done the eating little and often, tried ginger and sickness bands. Nothing really helps. The vomiting is worst in the mornings and evenings but I still feel nauseous all day. I am trying to take it all as reassurance that all is well with the pregnancy and be grateful.

I am really pleased to see your line progressions @Juno231 and @Vil10. They are both very promising! Love the dye stealer Also I only have one non wired bra and when it is in the wash I really really miss it so definitely need to get more.

Sorry to hear you are struggling with eating and drinking too @paintfairy. Pregnancy is hard!

Also so sorry to hear your story @Sunbird24. I really hope this is the one 🤞

Nice to know there are people here who have had their babies and also at various stages of pregnancy. I feel like I know nothing and I am just trying to take each day as it comes.

Vil10 · 06/12/2021 13:40

@paintfairy I was going to do it tomorrow initially but with going away on Thursday I'm worried if I only get a 2-3 it'll ruin my time so I'm going to wait, or try to wait, until Sunday!

@Juno231 your line progression is fab!! Go us!!

@feliznavidad2 I know what you mean, when I originally booked the early scan I was like wow it's pretty much 4 weeks away, and now I'm like it's just over 2 weeks!!

@bez91 @Kirky658 @clolo Thankyou for the welcome girls!!

@clolo @bez91 I had a bit of lightning fanny over the weekend🤣

@blackcurrantqueen Thankyou! It definitely helped my nerves seeing a dye stealer!!

@Bea14 sorry you're struggling!! Hopefully the medicine will help🤞🏼

I don't really have many symptoms to be honest boobs and nipples are a little bit sore, but on and off and are more sore first thing in the morning then fluctuate throughout the day, I felt a bit nauseous this morning but nothing too bad, the twinges and cramps seem to have settled down, so praying I'm just feeling okay and it isn't a bad sign🤞🏼

Kirky658 · 06/12/2021 13:46

@bea14 hi 👋❤️

For those of you in early pregnancy and no symptoms, wanted to reassure you that I had zero symptoms aside from being so so tired from about 5 weeks on.. I remember going running and being a absolutely exhausted so early on. I didn't really feel pregnant till about 12 weeks when I started with headaches, the joy.

I'm so excited for you all, I miss being pregnant some days 🤰❤️

becarefuloutthere · 06/12/2021 13:52

@Juno231 all sounds very sensible! I went straight to 3+ when I thought it'd be 2-3 first so be prepared for that too! So exciting eek 😃 and omg to knowing the lady on the fb group! Similar happened to me on here where we had friends in common with each other and she knew a bunch of my old school friends!
@Vil10 yay 😀 good to see you over here too! So lovely having all you girls over here now.
Great dye stealer! Just try and keep calm now, all is looking good my sweet 💕

Justanothercyster · 06/12/2021 16:24

I also didn't have many symptoms other than struggling to eat and tiredness, so don't worry! You'll soon feel pregnant x

2020mission · 06/12/2021 17:07

Welcome @Vil10 @Juno231 and @Bea14 great to see you all here! Some nice line progression there too. I only ever got the dye stealer with this pregnancy and never with the chemicals so I'd take that as a really good sign. I got the 3+ digital at exactly 21 DPO but that's with quite an accurate DPO as I was tracking BBT so anyone not tracking that might be a little off with the ovulation date and again everyone is different so wouldn't panic if 3+ doesn't appear when you expect.

I also had minimal symptoms in early pregnancy. My breasts were sore for the first week or so and then that eased off. Didn't really have any cramping or anything. I worryingly had a red bleed (light) followed spotting for 4-5 days at 6/7 weeks. All was fine though! My nausea kicked in at about 8 weeks but never actually threw up the whole pregnancy. Also a reminder my RHR never went up until I reached the end of the second trimester too so try not to worry about that either. Everyone is different so a lack of symptoms definitely doesn't mean not pregnant anymore!

@Juno231 😬 that Facebook group! I joined a December babies Facebook group earlier in the year and spotted a friend of a friend on the member list but thankfully not someone I've met so it was fine 😅 it's nice to have a group of ladies on Facebook due around the same time as you.

What's everyone's due dates actually? I always wondered if we should include them on the start of the threads - it might work better now that we have a lot more pregnant ladies here 🙌

I'm due 30th December, but my mum had my brother and me at 38 weeks so I'm hoping I might follow her and have him around the 16th December 🤞

I've got a growth scan booked for next Monday to check up on the polyhydramnios (excess amniotic fluid) I have so hopefully it has reduced and I can aim for a normal birth 🤞

@Justanothercyster thanks for reminding me on the book, I'll have a look! Might be too late to start another though 😆 how is everything going with you by the way? Breastfeeding ok? I'm also curious how is your belly just wondered how long it typically takes to lose the bump. I know you got your piercing back in at least!

@Minster2012 ohh you've got
2 girl name options already! We had a girl name ready quite early on but no boy name 😅 we've got a couple of boy names now that we both think are ok but we are hoping we'll still find one in the coming weeks that we both love more.

DKDK123 · 06/12/2021 17:08

A late update but the consultant was running an hour and a half late 🙄 Well the good news is the 2nd test didn't come back high risk so she said there's a good chance (tho not 100%) that baby doesn't have down syndrome. Not that we'd have loved it any less if it did but its one less additional worry.
The bad news is my due date just jumped from the end of May to the 5th May or earlier as I'm definitely not getting to go beyond 37 weeks. And it definitely will be done under general again as they're expecting high blood loss in theatre again 😫 Gutted at never getting those firsts but it was to be expected, as long as baby comes out safely that's what I need to focus on. And she said 1st pregnancy was high risk, this one is even riskier and she highly recommends sterilisation after this one as she doesn't think my body could safely carry a 3rd. I always wanted 3 kids, after the trouble of getting pregnant with this one I kind of already knew we'd need to stop at 2 but when the choice is taken from you it's still a bit of a punch in the gut. It also adds a bit more pressure as of course my head started thinking shit if anything happens to this one I can't even try again! 🙈 Silver linings is I'll be getting regular scans from 28 weeks till birth so they can keep a close eye on things so I'm hoping that helps ease the anxiety knowing I'm never far from another scan.
Going to grab some dinner then go back catch up on everyone's news.

Lexber · 06/12/2021 17:22

I brought bacon today ready for next time I w at back 🤣

I logged off everything last night as had. A really crap emotional evening feeling sorry for myself and just crying at anything and everything so curled up in the sofa with my hot water bottle and the cat.

@bez91 I have pint blank made it clear I am never having a baby again after this pregnancy🤣🤣 4 is more than enough when I agreed to 3... 🤣🤣🤣

Oh @DKDK123 im sorry your first experience with DS was so traumatic and hard (((hugs))) no wonder you are worried

Welcome to the dark side @Sunbird24 @Juno231 @Vil10

My nipples have suddenly become over sensitive again recently @bez91 @paintfairy I find myself sat bralews holding them to relieve them. My boobs have actually grown too which is new to me as last 2 they didn't!!

@2020mission I've been told that the Aldi formula is pretty much Aptimal and cheaper - if I don't BF I'm trying that I think as 2 will cost a fortune!
Aww @Minster2012 X is the cutest!! Love hearing all the stories of the little ones reactions to new babies - my pair are older so there is no cuteness! My eldest informed me my ass has grown as well as my belly in Tesco 🤣🤣 then told me it's a good thing as everyone wants big asses at the minute - it wasn't exact tiny before hand! Teenagers 🤦🏽‍♀️🤣
@Minster2012 totally normal ! I'm glad to have stopped severe vomiting because I was getting sick of peeing myself (full blown ) and letting my dignity run down my legs...

Continuing with the lack of dignity @paintfairy it's me with the lack of 💩def ring your dr that's how I've been. I'm on lactulose which helps a little but it's awful when you can't go. I sat and cried on the loo yesterday! It's like so much effort for a tiny ball...!! I was in such discomfort it hurt to sit down, there was so much pressure!
If you pay for prescriptions it's cheaper over the counter I got a massive bottle from boots for £7.99 Saturday - also tip for you when you ring GP make sure you tell them you are pregnant as they will make sure you get an appointment. I had issues early pregnancy and had to call MW as was so sick and didn't know what to do anymore and she rang Drs and went mad they'd not sorted me as I was pregnant

Lexber · 06/12/2021 17:33

I'm struggling trying to plan my leave as I am likely to have them early - plus tryin g to plan financially it's a nightmare @bez91
@clolo yup I get them too!

Welcome @Bea14 also - I cut my catch up short as realised it's was getting long 🤣 I suffered with sickness really badly my only advice is to take the tablet in bed before you do anything and rest a while then try and eat something like a biscuit (I moved onto banana after a while) and take your time. If the tablets don't work then don't be afraid to call back, I ended up on the 3rd lot I tried. At one point I was taking 2 types (5 tablets a day) I'm 17+5 and still take one each morning. As reassuring as it is, it's awful too! I feel for you! I was worse first thing and evenings too. If you need any more help just shout!

@2020mission I'm struggling with names - and we need 2! 🤣🤦🏽‍♀️

What a lot to take in @DKDK123 take your time to process it all. Xxx

My due date is 11.05.22 but more likely going to be April and hopefully not before!!

DKDK123 · 06/12/2021 17:56

Finally got back for a catch up.
Loving the line progression @Juno231 are you starting to feel excited yet? And great dye stealer @vil10 welcome to the bus ladies 😁

@justanothercyster glad to hear Molly's back to her sleepy self at night, long may it continue!

@paintfairy rabbit poos are my life now too no matter how many prunes I eat or water I drink and lactulose seems to only do the bare minimum help- joys of pregnancy playing havoc with our digestive systems it's either running out us or refusing to come out us there's no in-between 😂

@bez91 being made redundant and mat leave must have been emotionally and financially worrying! I took a year off with DS, it was tough financially but we muddled through it just had to make major cut backs to make it work, hoping to do the same again this time round.

@bea14, welcome over. I can sympathise, with DS I was constantly sick, had to drive to work with a bowl in the passenger seat ready for mid journey throw ups and a change of clothes in the boot. I found jelly babies eased the nausea part (just not the throwing up bit) and used to keep some in my pocket and nibble on them throughout my lessons. Hopefully the tablets from the doc help you, keep reminding yourself that it will pass in a few weeks, even tho it feels awful at the time.

How are you and Alice getting on @kirky658 is the new milk helping her reflux any now?

@2020mission glad to hear you've got a growth scan soon not just another pointless appointment again, hopefully the fluid has come down.

@lexber at least your DS was trying to give you a compliment with telling you your ass is getting bigger 🤣 No wonder your boobs are getting big already tho, they'll be prepping to feed 2 hungry mouths! How's your DH doing hoping his symptoms didn't get too bad.

Oh gosh that's rough @Bea14 hope things went ok with the GP? keep pushing with them if things don't improve. My friend had HG and was really poorly and dehydrated so look after yourself and hope it doesn't get that bad for you.

@2020mission oh wow not long at all for you. Hopefully on time or that bit earlier so you don't miss out on a Christmas dinner!

@DKDK123 argggh sorry on GA seemingly being the way they want to go but yes definitely put yourself first and concentrate on baby just getting here safely

@Lexber yes I suppose the teenage insults are not the same when they're not as innocent. DD called me a fat chicken at the weekend 🤣

Ladies TMI ⚠️ I give warning because I've not seen a TMI on here yet 🙈 so pregnancy discharge has been a bit snotty texture like which I know is normal as everything works overdrive to ensure no infection etc but the last 3 times we've had sex a day or 2 after I've passed what is like a good blob of jelly like substance, size of a pound coin, off white, not stretchy and really thick. Never had this before and wondered if I should speak to midwife. Never saw my mucus plug with DD but it seems strange as it's obviously only when my cervix has been aggravated 🙈

paintfairy · 06/12/2021 18:38

@clolo @bez91 fanny daggers. 🤣 I keep getting weird feelings down there too. On and off. I wouldn't say it's painful as such, it is, but it isn't? I just assumed it normal.
@Bea14 I haven't got to the point of actually being sick yet. But what I will say is- the less I eat, the worse i feel! I feel much better for keeping things going in there, even though there isn't much I fancy.
@2020mission mine is 25 July. I'm guessing you aren't finding out what it is then? I'm tempted not to. But I think it's harder to pick boys names than girls and having to have a few of each seems like an effort. 🤣
@DKDK123 great about the test results. Less so about the rest. But yes a healthy baby is all you want. I suppose you don't have to do sterilisation? You can use other birth control. Rabbit poos are miserable.
@Lexber your post actually made me laugh. I don't even know why when I can fully relate. I was sat on the toilet earlier and felt like crying too! I also get pain in like it hurts to sit down. The pressure i guess? I have actually been twice today but its still not great. Yeah its probably cheaper to buy over the counter so I'll try and get some and see if it helps.

I thought I'd have a nice bath tonight to make me feel better. But the temperature it says you are allowed is bloody freezing. So it wasn't relaxing because I froze to death. DH is pissing me off too. The shit that comes out his mouth. Oh I never knew being pregnant caused so many digestive issues. Erm? And then earlier i was napping on the sofa and he woke me 3 times in half an hour. The last to ask me if he could pass the plug to the Xmas lights through the window to me. I nearly shoved him through the bloody window. Then at dinner I said how tired I am. He said- why, did you not sleep last night? 🤦‍♀️ FFS. Men are morons.

Lexber · 06/12/2021 18:38

@DKDK123 she saw it as a compliment 🤣
He's ok but got a tight chest so I've sent him
Some exercises to do and told him to lay on his stomach as most of your lungs are in your back so laying on your back makes it worse

@bez91 sounds like excess mucas as plug is usually blood streaked but if you are unsure def ask MW - god I'd love to have sex! We've tried twice and both resulted in spotting and now he has covid - selfish bugger haha

paintfairy · 06/12/2021 18:39

@bez91 is it not sperm?

DKDK123 · 06/12/2021 18:40

@bez91 not had that before but could it be leftover jizz? Like maybe the way things are pressing on your vag canal not all of the jizz is coming out straight away so concealing into a little blob that's working its way out a few days later? 🤔

Lexber · 06/12/2021 18:42

Def little and often helps ladies with sickness. I feel sick/heartburn when hungry!

@paintfairy I think I'm at that stage where if I don't laugh I'd cry- that's my current whoa is me life status! 🤣🤦🏽‍♀️😬
I was going to have a nice soak tonight but the thought of taking my clothes off to lay in Luke warm water and then get cold again when I get out... nah! I will leave my bullet nipples in their clothes 👍🏼🤣

DKDK123 · 06/12/2021 18:43

@paintfairy, your OH will get on your tits more than he'll ever had your whole relationship during this pregnancy. Hopefully he's a fast learner and will soon learn not to even so much as breathe wrong near the hormonal pregnant lady 😂

@lexber glad to hear he's doing OK. I saw that on a hospital programme about covid that they were getting patients to lie on their front and found it helped. Hope he recovers soon

2020mission · 06/12/2021 18:44

@paintfairy having a baby in May will be lovely! I never really liked the idea of having one so near Christmas/new year but after so long trying you take anything 😅 we'll make his birthdays as good as we can. We didn't go for a gender scan but we did find out at the nhs 20 week scan that it's a little boy 💙 always wanted to know so we could get used to the idea. Naming is definitely harder with boys.

😂 men can be a pain can't they. We switched sides of the bed a week ago as we realised my husbands side has better space and is more ideal for the bedside crib so I need to be on that side. He's been complaining it's harder to sleep on his new side 🙄 with the leg pain, restless legs, constant peeing, side only positions and insomnia I've had he still thought it was fine to complain about a bed side switch impacting his sleep!
