@paintfairy I meant July not May 😂 sorry my head is all over the place today. My brothers birthday is July and it's always been good!

paintfairy · 06/12/2021 18:46

@Lexber I flick between both! 😭🤣 DH is like- so you ever stop moaning?
@DKDK123 that's concerning. He pisses me off a lot as standard. 🤭 He was singing earlier. I'm like- can you not. 🤬🤣

Juno231 · 06/12/2021 18:49

@Bea14 I'm sorry you're feeling so crap!

@DKDK123 GA sucks but hopefully you don't react as badly to it this time? So do you think you'll have your tubes tied whilst they're in there rooting around anyway?

@2020mission bloody hell already?? That's really soon! Are you all set? Have you set up a nursery? Also I had no idea you could have too much amniotic fluid, gosh.

Due date would be 15/08 but at only 4 weeks I feel silly for even saying it.

paintfairy · 06/12/2021 18:49

@2020mission 🤣 The audacity! Yeah my birthday is Jan and DHs is early March, so shit weather. So summer will make a change!

Lexber · 06/12/2021 18:51

Mine and my youngest birthdays are July and we love having summer birthdays!! Outdoor bbq parties and sunshine!!

Juno231 · 06/12/2021 18:56

@paintfairy @2020mission I'm Jan and OH March as well so having summer birthdays will be so fun!

Sunbird24 · 06/12/2021 19:46

I’ve got a 14 Aug due date based on my transfer date, which would be good as all the other birthdays in my family are between Nov & Apr. I specifically wanted to avoid Christmas as there’s already 2 birthdays and a wedding anniversary between the 23rd and 27th!
I’m currently sulking because somebody in Sainsburys had mixed up the houmous and I’ve accidentally got sweet chilli instead of Moroccan. Still eating it, but grudgingly.

2020mission · 06/12/2021 19:51

@Juno231 don't worry about the amniotic fluid it apparently only happens in 1% of pregnancies so I'm the minority 😅 thankfully it's mild polyhyramnios so I'm not too big. I've heard for some it's like a tsunami when the waters break with it 🌊 There is a risk baby has a problem with the gastrointestinal tract or central nervous system but sometimes there's no explanation for the extra fluid. I'm hoping that's the case here!

We've not set up a nursery since he'll be in the room with us for the first 6 months and we're still house hunting so hoping to move some time next year 🤞 but we've got all the main things we need. I don't think I'll ever feel fully ready. I completely get it feels weird to think of the due date early on but it's nice to! It's brilliant you got your job move in. Even though the wait has been long and painful I'm sure you will be happy with how everything worked out in the end when baby is here.

How are January birthdays? I might end up having him in January. I have a feeling it's worse than a December birthday since everyone is skint, or on a health kick so not as open to birthday celebrations with food/drinks.

@bez91 I think more discharge is normal with all the pregnancy changes but no harm in asking the midwife if it seems strange to you. I definitely have had an increase in discharge throughout the whole pregnancy.

paintfairy · 06/12/2021 20:04

@2020mission I personally have hated my parents all of my life for having me in January. 🤣 My birthday is before payday and so yes, everyone is skint. And can't be bothered after Christmas. The weather is shit so its limited what you can do. Also as a child it annoyed me that my birthday and Christmas were so close together. Because you got loads of presents and anything else you wanted all year round, you had to wait. Where as my brother had a summer birthday. I often requested to move mine to June. 🤣
But I think December is potentially worse. Not much you can do about it now though!

Juno231 · 06/12/2021 20:05

@2020mission I hate to say it but I'd def say it's worse than Dec birthdays 🤭. I'm on the 23rd (hence the 231 in my name!) so not only are people doing dry Jan, eating healthy and are completely partied out after Dec but in my case they're also extra extra poor lol. Doesn't matter for kids though I think and as an adult surely most aren't that fussed about birthdays? I hear you about the nursery - I think our house will either still be a dump or in the midst of huge renovations by the time we have this baby... I don't mind ultimately though. And you're right that I'm so happy I moved jobs when I did!

Juno231 · 06/12/2021 20:06

Take what paintfairy says with a pinch of salt as she's very angry today 😂

2020mission · 06/12/2021 20:18

@paintfairy haha we could give him a conception day celebration in late April to make up for a January birthday?

@Juno231 yeah I'll be regretting being on a job hunt with a baby during maternity having not moved jobs sooner! How long have you been in the new job now? You don't have to tell them until about 4-5 months into the pregnancy but if you want to go to appointments or aren't feeling good you might want to share earlier. I waited until about 18 weeks to tell work but was WFH so could easily hide everything. One of my colleagues is due this month too so I'm sure work were thrilled 😂 also one of the finance team found a new job on her maternity and didn't come back. No surprise given how dodgy the company was during furlough, making us work full time while claiming for us for most of the year and never giving us anything in writing. I wouldn't want to be in the finance team associated with that!

Bea14 · 06/12/2021 20:21

@Vil10 I didn't really have any symptoms other than sore boobs till around 6 weeks - then it hit me hard! Sounds like there is a mix of experiences of early pregnancy though.

@2020mission My due date is 26th July I think. You don't have long to wait now then! I agree boys names are much harder. We have a decent list of girls names we like but I really struggle with boys names. Glad you have one or two in mind though.

@DKDK123 Glad to hear the test came back low risk, that is one less thing to worry about. Really sorry to hear you are not going to get the birth you had hoped for. Also sterilisation is quite a surprise if you weren't expecting them to say that. Thank you for the advice! I drove to school on Friday with a carrier bag on my lap, the things we have to do! You are right those, this will eventually pass. My new mantra lol.

Thanks for the advice @Lexber. At the moment I seem to vomit within about 60 seconds of waking up. I am sleeping with a sick bowl as I can't even make it to the bathroom in time. They have prescribed me cyclizine and I am to take 3 a day. I have taken one already and will have another before bed. Hopefully will stop or at least lessen the nausea and vomiting. I had to go to the surgery to do a urine test to check my ketones and it came back positive for ketones which apparently isn't great. So if I vomit lots more tonight and tomorrow the doctor wants me to phone back and I also need to go back on Wednesday for another urine sample test. If it hasn't improved I might have to go into hospital for fluids. So I am really trying hard to get some food and water into me at the moment so I don't need to go into hospital. I also had to tell my head teacher I am pregnant as I didn't feel I could lie about why I am off work. Luckily she was so kind and supportive so that was good. Hope your DH isn't suffering too badly with covid.

Thanks @bez91. The GP was really good actually. It was the same one who did my fertility referral so she was like oh congratulations. She was happy to prescribe me medicine immediately and has been on it with urine samples and phoning me with results etc. Unfortunately we move house next week so will be moving G.P.

Haha @paintfairy your man needs to read up on pregnancy. Just remind him you are literally growing a human, that is exhausting.

Minster2012 · 06/12/2021 20:25

@Sunbird24 begrudgingly eating the hummus 🤪

@Justanothercyster don't say things like that aloud about no poo 💩nights as it jinxes it 🤪

@paintfairy I think any poo 💩 or no poo is just normal in pregnancy. It's so difficult (in many ways) and just a shit situation (pun intended) but do hassle your gp

@Vil10 heyyyy good to see you!! And great frer, see they are totally helpful

@Juno231 I think 8+1 is a great time for the scan, and hopefully Xmas will keep you somewhat busy til then. We've got you. Did you say that you aren't seeing lots of friends at Xmas so not drinking will be ok to cover? Let us know how the maternity bras are, I've been wearing one of my "normal" bigger ones today when my non wired one in the wash & it's hideously uncomfortable. I think that's quite nice about the friends bridesmaid!

@Bea14 hello! I'm pleased you are getting anti sickness, on the eating (same for you @paintfairy) the best thing is to just try eat what you can and don't worry "what" it is. Like it doesn't matter being super healthy if you can't keep it down, it's better to just eat "something" instead. And sip water. Try squash maybe. Anything. Just keep plodding 😩and baby sill take their nutrients from you

@2020mission my DD is 22nd may but will likely be a week earlier with the c section. So you aren't sold on your boy names? I think boy names are harder. Tell your hubby he can have his side back if he does all the night feeds

@DKDK123 really pleased all is well but grrr on running late and the early delivery but it's all for both of your safety. When's your next scan?

@Lexber boom for big booties then!

@bez91 so all the poo talk isn't tmi! Cool! I was going to say mucus plug but it's worth a call I think to the midwife. From what i think then it's only yellow you need to worry about

also no symptoms here. And apparently a very healthy baby! And glad of the weeing support, knew I could count on you lot!

Sunbird24 · 06/12/2021 20:31

@Juno231 did you say you’re getting a scan on 4 Jan? I think that’s when my viability scan is likely to be with my clinic

Lexber · 06/12/2021 20:33

@Bea14 they were my first try of tablets and Altho they eased it I could feel them wearing off - if they don't help ask for something else as they're the cheapest I'm less to believe and they start you on them but they don't work for everyone! I had the exact same issues and was threatened with hospital 3 or 4 times 😬 thankfully they let me stay home as I was trying and my keytones weren't too bad Altho I was borderline dehydration a few times. Rest where you can it's exhausting!
My nausea started before my BFP - now I know why 🤣🤣

@2020mission I was massive with dd 1 and told she would be huge but turned out I just had excess water but 15 years ago they weren't as clued up as now - all was absolutely fine with her

We have middle names (family names) but and actual boys and girls name I have no clue about - I keep changing my mind on the girls name I like and can't find a boys name yet that makes me go "yes that one" so I've given up for now! Plus they need to sound nice together AND sound nice with Alexia and Amber..?! Eurgh it's so difficult!!

Feel free to throw ideas my way!! I probably won't like any cos I'm an irrational knob at the minute haha but worth a try!

Lexber · 06/12/2021 20:37

Oh I'd love no symptoms today - I feel like I've have ridiculous heartburn ALL day today!! I think I'm growing hairy babies!!!
My eldest gave me heartburn but not This bad, it's constant!!

I agree with @Minster2012 eat what you can @paintfairy and @Bea14 when you can. My midwife recommended I ate high calories foods if I could as I was eating so little, but also reassured me that even if im not eating not to worry and baby will be taking all stored nutrients so it won't effect them at all xxx

paintfairy · 06/12/2021 21:00

@Juno231 its true! 🤣 I actually hate January as a month too, I'm not a fan of winter and by then I've lost any sense of positivity. 🤭 @2020mission to be fair I was an accident. My mum was on the pill, so it's not like they planned it. For most of us now, we have the opposite issue and its got to the point where beggars can't be choosers! 🤷‍♀️ Just buy him presents in the summer. 🤣

paintfairy · 06/12/2021 21:04

@Bea14 God that sounds awful! I hope the tablets help. And yeah it is exhausting! I'm struggling to stay awake tonight. Its funny as some days I'm OK, others I'm really tired.
@Lexber @Minster2012 the acupuncture lady did tell me to stop worrying about eat now. Before I was doing good health wise. But suddenly you just can't force yourself to do it. My baby also likes pepsi! 🤣

Justanothercyster · 06/12/2021 21:30

@2020mission all good! She's breastfeeding with no issues thankfully, although it's quite intense all hours of the day. Tbh I was very lucky and didn't have my bump after she was taken out 🙌🏼 I'd say my "normal" belly was back within a few days, albeit with slightly stretchier skin and the ridge from the section wound.
Good luck with the scan!

@2020mission ooh I'm pleased all you ladies are causing the company grief when they were such asshats last year! I only started at this job at the beginning of October so this is my third month 😬. Not ideal but hey ho. I don't think I'll want to delay telling the boss too much seeing as he'll be off on pat leave in April and we're a small team so I need to leave him enough time to sort the logistics out.

@Sunbird24 yes that's right, on the 4th! I won't share any updates on here about it though until you have?

@Minster2012 @2020mission I'm not sure if my standards are lower for boys names but I find them much easier than girl names!

@Bea14 I'm so pleased you have a good GP - i really hope those tablets kick in straight away

@DKDK123 I forgot to say, excellent news on the DS results! Was that a nipt they did in the end then?

OH just asked me if my prenatals contain enough calcium or if we need to get me supplements 😍 (and I checked, they only contain 22% of NRV!)

Minster2012 · 06/12/2021 21:40

Relaxing into a decently hot bath. With my no alcohol cider
Just sayin

My nipples are chapping, peeling. Not nice. Also I have small little red itchy spots (not like normal spots though) in between my boobs. Anyone else get this/had this? Is this a thing or are my massive boobs just a horrible sweaty mess?? (They aren't but you know what I mean)

@clolo 10th June sounds nice, my brothers is near then and it's always nice & still in school year where's mind is mid July & I used to get annoyed it was out of school time so ppl were on holiday for parties

Minster2012 · 06/12/2021 21:41

@Juno231 lower standards 🤪I don't think so! And that's really sweet of DH, you do need extra calcium. Cheese is your friend mmmmmm

paintfairy · 06/12/2021 21:46

@Juno231 I suppose supplements don't contain the full amount as they'll be expecting some to come from diet? I've just checked mine and they contain 63% calcium though.
@Minster2012 jealous of your bath. Not your boobs though. 🤣
