So many messages we'll be on thread 4 before we know it 😂 Sounds like everyone's aches and pains are getting worse, I'm definitely in that club, everything is such a struggle these days and sleep so disrupted! But I keep having to tell myself that this is my last pregnancy and I want to make the most of feeling him wriggle around inside me as I'll never have that again. When I think of it that way 5 weeks doesn't seem so long, they will be here before we know it and we'll probably miss our wriggly, massive bumps!
@Curlymam88 mine was measuring 6lbs 9 at 34+2 so we're very similar, completely off the charts! Will be interesting to see when they suggest c-section as I think I'm going to get induced early too, I'm thinking will be around 38/39 weeks x

Hi everyone, im having quite a tough time very sore and almost bed bound, baby is head down and engaged im just shy of 34 weeks so shes in position rather early or my boy was a bit lazy he never went down until the last minute typical boy, little does this lady know she is coming out the sunroof anyway its making it incredibly difficult to walk. I hurt myself yesterday i had to sprint after my toddler he ran to me at nurseru as if he was going to hug me but instead swerved me at the last minute and ran out the gate nearly on to a main road i almost died ( he ran past 2 other parebts who didnt stop him !!) I no hes my responsibility but if i seen what happened unfold infront of me as another parent i would have grabbed him. So that has left me even more unmobile only relief is bed and painkillers...

I was thinking how strange it was last time i was on raspberry tea ( it defo worked for me) and bouncing on the ball by this point, but im the opposite i dont want my waters to break on there own i have strep b! So completley different, ive been in the hospital twice in the last few weeks with contractions then they go away so we shall see if this little lady stays in.

Hope you are all well and not feeling as miserable as i am! X

jadey1991 · 12/11/2021 23:43

@burtle4 hello hun, yes we will soon be on thread 4. Yes everyone is ha img the aches and pains now. Wow tour baby is a really good weight. How has everything been with you!?

OP posts:
jadey1991 · 12/11/2021 23:47

@julzx hey hun long time no speak. Aww baby is engaged already. She isn't wanting to be cooped up anymore. Bless you. As for your son I totally agree, I'm sure parents are aware that you are heavily pregnant so helping to stop hun would have helped. I really do hope everything goes well for you. When is your next appointment? Have you lost your mucus plug yet?

@jadey1991 aw wow that room does look amazing and very tranquil! I went for a waterbirds with my 1st in a simular room....music dimmed lights etc but I was too comfortable so had to get out to give birth lol what pain relief is available at birth centre or are you opting for none?
@LouLou0505 Thanks for clearing that up.....are you hoping to have a c section?
@Curlymam88 wow 6lb 8oz what a weight! Bet your excited to find out on Tuesday so you can be organised!
Hi @burtle4 wow another good size weight! Yes all feeling the strain but I keep singing 'its the final countdown' 🎶 lol like you this is our last and I will come to miss it all! its emotional closing the door but we have fully enjoyed this stage and feel very blessed!
Hey @julzx sorry your having a rough time this pregnancy....I've occasionally felt baby engage now and again and I couldn't imagine having to get about if he stayed there! Tough having a toddler in tow too....our youngest will be 2 on 4th of December and he is very good at walking but if he does throw a tantrum I'm not agile enough to get down low and strain to pick him up etc so we are in-between buggy and walking for now!
I'm 35wks now....got next midwife app on Tuesday and last growth scan on Saturday followed by a consultant call when i should get confirmation of my induction for dec 17th! The excitement of having a new baby in the next 5wks has hit us all, hubby and kids are all super happy and helping out with more chores etc to help me out which I really appreciate!

jadey1991 · 13/11/2021 19:29

@lovebeingmum9 aww sounds nice hun. I'm opting for just gas and air. That's all I've ever used with my other to children. But it will depend. If I don't need anything then I'll just go ahead and give birth lol.

OP posts:
lovebeingmum9 · 14/11/2021 10:29

@jadey1991 thats great....with my 1st i didn't have any pain relief and could have done 10x over lol 2nd time was totally different I tried gas and air/pethidine but they wore off by the time he was born and I had a traumatic assisted/forcep delivery which I felt every painful second of 😓....since then I've had 2 epidurals for 3rd & 4th and plan on the same this time! Its wonderful having such lovely and different birth plans and delivery options/pain relief etc....I always thing of the past generations who didn't have our luxuries x

jadey1991 · 14/11/2021 10:48

@lovebeingmum9 aww sounds like you did have a traumatic experience.. my sister had to have the suction cup and when my nephew came he had a cone head. Anyone else had this? yes I totally agree. Different birth plans. Like I said I'm trying to enjoy every moment of this pregnancy as this is (I'm planning) to be my last pregnancy. X

OP posts:
burtle4 · 14/11/2021 19:25

@jadey1991 yes, I had that with my first. He got stuck so they had to use the ventouse which meant he came out with a cone head! I also remember him being a silvery colour when I first saw him and it being my first how shocked I was that he looked nothing like a cute little cuddley newborn that you see in all the pictures 😂 It didn't take long for him to look more as I imagined though thankfully!

jadey1991 · 14/11/2021 20:42

@burtle4 oh no bless you. My sister had that and she was amazed at how my nephew came out with a cone shaped head and they rubbed his head it went down slightly. I don't think they are allowed to use that anymore.

OP posts:
lovebeingmum9 · 15/11/2021 09:06

Haha yes my daughter was born with a cone head too.....no suction cup but because she kept in the same spot with her head crowning for too long and just as I was moved to have help with the cup she was born! I remember the lily newborn hat balancing on her head because of the cone shape lol obviously went back to normal a few days/weeks later x

jadey1991 · 15/11/2021 10:40

@lovebeingmum9 aww bless,, at least suction cup wasn't needed lol. And her head is ok now

OP posts:
lovebeingmum9 · 15/11/2021 10:48

@jadey1991 yeah exactly ❤ my 2nd because of the assisted forcep delivery looked like he'd done a few rounds with Mike tyson bless him! The forcep marked his face and he was bruised etc he is 7 now and gorgeous but I can still see the faint scar on his eye brow from the forceps.....I feel super blessed as know it could have been alot worse though x

LouLou0505 · 15/11/2021 10:52

@lovebeingmum9 - C-section is the way we are heading right now. There’s a few reasons why none medical right now but just waiting to see a consultant.

I know a lot of people have their personal opinions on c-sections but as this is our first it’s something we feel is right for us🤷🏻‍♀️

lovebeingmum9 · 15/11/2021 11:11

@LouLou0505 everyone's different and so are the birth options,I hope you get the birth plan you want.....I don't have any strong opinions on c sections if its something someone wants or needs for whatever reason then I just hope like any birth its a good experience! I was very tempted to request c section after my 2nd but I settled for an induction instead....didn't make induction as 3rd came 3 days early anyway but 4th was induced on due date and planning same this time too....its not everyone's choice, but my choice. 😊

jadey1991 · 15/11/2021 13:59

@lovebeingmum9 yea I totally understand hun. At least your son doesn't have obvious marks. We don't have long left now. Then we will be welcoming our babies ladies. I've noticed I've dropped a lot. My midwife said baby in celphlong(meaning he is head down in birth position). I'm not sure if he is engaged yet. I googled it but I cannot find anything on my notes that symbolise engaged position.

OP posts:
Curlymam88 · 15/11/2021 20:44

I'm having a really strange feeling and I'm not sure what it is. It feels like a sort of wave in the lower part of my stomach and I can feel it in my backside too. Any ideas what this could be? Braxton hicks? Or maybe im just being paranoid and looking out for any little sign. Not felt this before.

jadey1991 · 15/11/2021 21:10

@Curlymam88 snap I've been feeling the same.. it's goes into my buttocks too.

OP posts:
jadey1991 · 15/11/2021 21:10

@Curlymam88 have u passed your mucus plug yet

OP posts:
Curlymam88 · 15/11/2021 21:38

@jadey1991 all I can explain it as is like a wave feeling. Not felt this before. My bump also went solid earlier. I had a bit of something the other day after going to the toilet but dont know if it was mucus plug. I dont remember feeling any thing like this with my daughter 8 years ago, plus she was born c section so have no idea if its start of anything. I got consultant tomorrow luckily so I'll ask them about it then. Its probably nothing, waters not gone or anything. How long have you been feeling like this?

jadey1991 · 15/11/2021 22:08

@Curlymam88 oh I've just noticed a lot more white discharge. Last night I had the same wave feeling as you. It affected my back and pelvis. I was in a little bit of pain. My Neely tends to go hard when he moves. I can also agree with you on not feeling like this with my previous pregnancies. This pregnancy has been so different.

OP posts:
Curlymam88 · 15/11/2021 22:40

@jadey1991 same about discharge and my back is hurting too. I think any little change or difference im looking for it because I know its coming to the end. The weeks have flown by x

jadey1991 · 15/11/2021 23:11

@Curlymam88 yes I think so too. I've had some pressure down below too literally 20min ago. Felt like I was gonna pee myself. Hopefully the consultant will tell you more tomorrow. Let me know how you get on .x
