@Curlymam88 hey hun how did your appointment go today x

OP posts:
Curlymam88 · 16/11/2021 18:56

@jadey1991 thanks for asking 😊
I had to see 3 different people...I was there for 3.5 hours. Im aching tonight. They want to rescan me in 2 weeks to check babys weight again then book me in when I'm about 37 weeks for the c section. So didn't get booked in for it today. Im 35 weeks tomorrow so I'm assuming I'll be early December time. Maybe week beginning 6th December. No definite answer though.
I asked the midwife about that feeling last night and she said it sounds like the uterus practicing ready for birth.
How are you doing?

jadey1991 · 16/11/2021 19:16

@Curlymam88 oh wow you was there a long time. How comes you had to see 3 different people if you don't mind me asking?
Oh so at least you know a rough time of when they will book you in and when you may have baby. So maybe I maybe experiencing the same as you. I'm feeling so exhausted today. Been having back pain and pelvic pain. I see my midwife next week Friday.

@jadey1991 I had to see diabetic midwife, diabetic doctor, obstetrician then I had to have bloods taken and wqit in pharmacy for more iron. Its been a long day. But yea I guess at least I know around the 37week mark ill be having baby.
Same as me I got midwife next Friday but I dont see the point in going to her if I'm having growth scans and I see diabetic midwife anyway. I dont find her much use tbh.

jadey1991 · 16/11/2021 19:31

@Curlymam88 oh I see, yes you have had a busy day today. Yea I see what you mean as you have other appointments. I think midwives these days don't have a clue.

I'm starting to struggle to drive aswell now and the 2 hospitals I go to I need to drive there. I try not to park the car if I can help it, i rather drive into a space as its easier. Belly is in the way. Even when I try have a shower belly is getting in the way of me reaching places 🙈🤣

jadey1991 · 16/11/2021 21:00

@Curlymam88 🤣🤣 I'm the same, I can't shave I have to get my hubby to help me🙈🙈... I can't fit in the bath without being squashed too. I don't drive. But it's a struggle getting in and out of hubby's car.

I'm definitely in the nesting zone.....cleaning and sorting everything! yesterday I washed baby clothes,pram/car seat, playmat, packed hospital bags and even hired a carpet cleaner for me and hubby to freshen up before Christmas decs come out and to bring baby home! I will be 36wks tomorrow its getting closer now everyone 😊

Curlymam88 · 18/11/2021 10:50

@lovebeingmum9 wow you sound so organised and energetic im glad I sorted my stuff early because right now I just don't want to do anything. Have zero energy. We are planning/hoping to put our Xmas decorations up this weekend and next weekend because I think not long after ill be booked in for my c section. And I dont fancy doing it when we get home from hospital.

lovebeingmum9 · 18/11/2021 12:35

Thanks @Curlymam88 But I wish like you I had done it all sooner, would have saved me the trouble of doing it all now! lol Honestly don't now whats got into me I've been like a crazy woman this week....even today I havnt stopped cleaned house from top to bottom, cleaned sofas, washing pillows & got curtains to do,in and out and up and down with washing etc I was going to clean widows inside but I've had to stop for a lunch break as I'm shattered, actually worried I may bring on early labour the way I'm going!? By the early evening though I have 0 energy left x

lovebeingmum9 · 18/11/2021 12:37

@lovebeingmum9 Shock making me feel tired just reading what you've been up to! Yea we are looking forward to it all. Weve even started reading our Xmas books at bed time 😁 keep thinking how different this Xmas will be compared to the not so good one we had last year when I was in hospital on boxing day for a tfmr. Was terrible, so this year we are making the most of it all Smile

lovebeingmum9 · 18/11/2021 16:00

@jadey1991 aw its awful trying to get good sleep at this stage....my sleeps all over the place too! Worse thing is when people say 'enjoy your sleep' in the last trimester lol Hope you get enough rest but at least its conditioning you for when baby arrives x
@curlymam88 So sorry to hear what you had to go through last year that must have been an awful time! super happy that its going to be full of happiness and love this year 💖
