@2020mission oh Scotland is completely different to England (London) we have maternity notes. I have all my documentation in a folder at home with me. Maybe you should speak to the hospital and find out because that's bad you haven't been given anything. I thought all hospitals give maternity notes.

How's everyone getting on? A week today and il be a mummy of 2, surreal but feel a bit better as i wrapped all the christmas presents today, although the 2 and a half hours sitting on the floor did me no favours! Between uti's and thrush i am done!! Currentlty on antibiotics which has caused another bout of thrush so uncomfortable.... but just glad im getting better i had a horrid chest infection and prayed everyday i didnt go into labour by myself as i couldnt breathe very well.

I had a bad day on sunday, i think caused by seeing my partners family on saturday it was his nephews birthday was just a quick birthday cake then home, but as i was leaving everyone was like next time i see you youll have another baby. Left feeling sick like reality was hitting home, spent most of sunday in bed depressed moping, angry at myself because i wasnt excited (little boy was at his dads) so had nothing really to focus on.

Sorry about the big warbling post between thrush, not feeling good and my hormones being over the place im a bit of a mess lol!

jadey1991 · 13/12/2021 23:53

@julzx not long to go now hun. Glad everything is getting better for you. I wrapped some presents myself today. Still got to wrap some more once they are delivered lol.

Oh. Stop hun you can rant and rave all you like.. some women feel like that because it hasn't hit them yet. Not that you should feel bad about not being excited. Once the day comes you will forget about all of that.

I've been feeling rather frustrated myself and have been ranting and raving about that on here to. I can't wait for my son to be here.

@jadey1991 its all fun and games isn't it, wish i could have been one of they woman who breezed through pregnancy, but it will be worth it when our baby's finally make there entrance. There is so much lovely baby boy things in the shops atm... i feel when i had my son the stuff wasn't half as nice! Im annoyed as all the little girl things are mainly a blush pink instead of a nice baby pink! Its driving me insane id like a newborn jacket in baby pink but without paying 60 quid from a baby shop as i no she will only wear it for like 2 weeks lol. Hope everything is getting better with you we are on the home run now, i feel the same as you can't walk ect and im very sick again randomly xx

jadey1991 · 14/12/2021 08:46

@julzx aww bless. This is my first son. I remember when I had my daughters there was loads of girls clothes then boy clothes. But some girl clothes I had from my eldest was used for my youngest daughter. Now I'm having a son I've had to start from scratch lol. I'm defo feeling like he will come at some point this week. I had a shower last night and I felt a big drop into my pelvis so I'm hoping this is a good sign. This morning I had the beginning of period like cramps but I'm not getting my hopes up just yet lol. I was feeling quite sick last night actually(not like me). X

@tashx you will be fine hun, you have done it 4 times already. I was like you once upon a time but then I came to realise that there is only one way I can get baby out. X

OP posts:
lovebeingmum9 · 14/12/2021 11:17

morning ladies
@tashx why are you so anxious about the birth hun....is it from a previous experience or just build up of anxiety because its now upon us!? I can understand both x
@jadey1991 Hi hun I saw your post further up about the weight gain....I wouldn't worry too much about what you've gained, the reason they don't weigh (except at the start of pregnancy) is because we all vary in size and shape so much.....I know woman who have gained 5st and lost is super quick within a month or so after giving birth and then others who didn't gain or lost weight in pregnancy and after birth put weight on....either is fine as takes upto a year or more to recover fully x
I'm feeling so much better today 😊
Last night after a nice bath I did my feet, face, hair and nails with masks, creams and serums and went to bed feeling glorious and ready for going into labour! Remember to take time and Look after yourselves it really makes a difference on how you feel on the inside ❤

jadey1991 · 14/12/2021 11:26

@lovebeingmum9 thanks hun. I just feel like a blob lol. I know I will lose it once baby is here but it's just how I feel now. So different to my last pregnancies. Aww sounds like you had a nice pampering session last night. I wish I could do all of that. I can't get to my feet. And I just have no energy to do anything. ❤️❤️

OP posts:
tashx · 14/12/2021 11:29

@lovebeingmum9
I had 4 easy births
Last two at home
But
Youngest is 15
I think I'm just scared because of my age
And
The pain etc
I need to stay off internet and stop reading horror stories of inductions
Not getting on with my partner either
So feel very alone
Had a full on panic attack last night

lovebeingmum9 · 14/12/2021 11:51

@jadey1991 I know exactly how you feel hun....I'm the exact same! I was hoping this pregnancy being our last I would leave on a high but I've been so ill this last month its been the opposite! I knew if I didn't pamper myself last night I will keep going on the downward spiral and I need some go in me for labour friday x
@tashx Aw it's because it's so close now and because you've had 4 good births your probably wondering if you can be lucky again....I've got 4 and this is our 5th so I understand the anxiety, doesn't get easier no matter how many previous births you've had, infact I'd say it's prob worse because you know what's to come X you will hopefully be in a much better place and on better terms with partner when you finally give birth...my hormones are all over the place and struggling to find enjoyment in things until I have baby in arms x

jadey1991 · 14/12/2021 15:01

@tashx aww hun sounds like you are having a rough time. I'm sure you will be fine hun. You have had easy pregnancies/ deliveries before. As for the partner thing I don't know what to say other then it will work it's self out.
Soon enough you will have your baby in your arms. And you will be laughing looking back on these messages x

OP posts:
jadey1991 · 14/12/2021 15:02

@lovebeingmum9 aww hun believe me if I could do something I really would lol. I need pampering. I can't believe your having baby on Friday. I'm hoping this week sometime I'm having my son. Today I haven't been feeling great

OP posts:
lovebeingmum9 · 14/12/2021 15:36

@jadey1991 we all need a good pampering after what our bodies have been through.....not much chance of it for me once baby is here though! lol I turn 33 in January and I just want to get my body back/join gym and a bit of retail therapy lol
I know I can't quite believe it....a part of me is worried they will say they are fully booked and try push it further back 😅 induction Friday so baby might come sat/Sun normally it's taken a day for induction to take affect and baby next day?
I really hope you get a good week and the time goes quickly for you until d day....I know its absolutely dragging until the last minute for me!
@tashx forgot to say this will be my 3rd induction on Friday.....I know online has all sorts of horrors but I've found the inductions on a whole quite pleasant! For me I've normally had induction in the morning (pessary inserted) and I've relaxed in the room, watched TV on my phone sky go and been fed 3 nice meals/snacks.....just completely relaxed until the night or next morning when the contractions and labour have started! All I will say is if you are so worried about the pain......request an epidural 1st thing and keep pushing until you get it! I had so much pain with my 2nd and so opted for epidurals twice after through the pure fear of that pain and works for me.....hopefully you find a way to not feel too full of fear and anxiety when the day comes, try think positive vibes only Xx

jadey1991 · 14/12/2021 15:43

@lovebeingmum9 yes I agree with you in that. Lol. Once I'm fully healed etc I'm signing myself up to the gym. I'm sure they won't put your induction back. Apparently there is a shortage of midwives. I was gobsmacked when I heard that. Thanks hun I do hope everything goes to plan lol. You need to make sure you keep us updated with everything. 😜

Thankyou hun xx

burtle4 · 14/12/2021 16:53

@tashx I know how you feel about being scared of the birth despite having been through it previously. I think that because you know what's coming you almost work yourself up even more. When I got called in for induction on Friday I was so scared as have also heard horror stories. I will say it was really not bad at all and actually on a par with my daughter who I delivered naturally in the pool. I massively wanted an epidural if I was going to have to be induced but despite being prepped for one and being told all I had to do was let them know when I wanted it, it all went wrong last minute and the only anesthetist ended up not being able to get to me in time. I completely panicked that I was going to have to only do it with gas and air, knowing the pain and what was to come, I really didn't think I could. But we are amazing and our bodies can cope with so much, I mentally wasn't ready but there was no going back so just had to push through. And in the end I was so glad I didn't have the epidural as it was a much more natural experience, I was up and about straight after and I didn't have to have any intervention which can often be a result of not being feel how much you need to push. You will be absolutely fine, you've done it before and you can do it again. Plus the elation of seeing your little baby when you've been through something so tough is just unbeatable! You've got this x

jadey1991 · 14/12/2021 17:03

@burtle4 well said hun. Hope all is well with you and baby
