I’m getting fed up now, just want something to happen but doesn’t feel anywhere close yet.

Has anyone used clary sage to try and help shift things along?

jadey1991 · 12/12/2021 16:50

@Decadesbcun I've not heard of that hun. But I've tried absolutely everything to try bring on my labour but nothing happens. I'm getting fed up myself. I'm so swollen. My skin is soooo tight. I can't walk properly. I actually feel like an old women. I'm only in my early 30's.. I just don't know what to do anymore. I find myself crying a lot now because I'm so frustrated and exhausted

I'm literally getting no signs of impending labour. Had some BH last week but that's it. Definitely in agreement with you all that I just want little one here. Have my growth scan this week (baby measuring small). If it's not grown much I'll hopefully be getting induced pretty sharp. Only 37 + 4 and I am so done with being pregnant 😂

jadey1991 · 12/12/2021 19:47

Well, the last 2 nights I have been so restless and up and down with my sleep and just not feeling quite right. Woken up today with headache, been sick and a feeling of vertigo every time I move. Going to give assessment centre a call I think as I just can’t put my finger on it x

jadey1991 · 13/12/2021 10:29

@Decadesbcun what is you BP like normally? Have you noticed anything else? Let us know what the assessment centre say

Congratulations @burtle4 he's gorgeous! 💙 bet your other children were over the moon to finally meet him!
Hi everyone hope your all doing OK.... I had my takeaway with hubby on sat night and wrapped all the Christmas pressies for all 5 children which I was happy about.....but I woke up at 2:30am with an awful tummy ache and severe diarrhea sorry tmi and it went on for 6hrs!!! Must have been food poisoning....apparently because my immune system is low I could have caught it quite easily! Ended up going upto hospital to be checked over as now have the bronchitis, food poisoning, dehydration and increased movements from baby 😷 was monitored and baby moving normally thankfully.... although was showing contractions/braxton hicks and probably due to all the illness! Friday really can't come soon enough 😩

cutejeans · 13/12/2021 12:47

Hi everyone, just an update... I've been booked for an induction on Sunday! But I was also given a sweep and I'm already 2cm dilated and 50% effaced so the midwife said it's likely to work on its ownGrin feeling very nervous and excited!! Xx

tashx · 13/12/2021 13:54

Hi everyone
I'm being induced on Saturday
At 37 weeks as baby stopped growing
He's only 4lb 14
So scared of the pain 😢

jadey1991 · 13/12/2021 14:47

Hey ladies, oh wow your all having your babies soon. Damn my baby is one stubborn boy... I need him to come.. feel like I'm gonna be the one that has baby last🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🥺🥺.... I do pray and hope I don't
@tashx oh no hun I'm so sorry to hear that. Everything else is good with baby tho yeah? Like movement etc etc

@jadey1991 I feel like that because I have 8 more days to my c section and feel like everyone’s having babies

jadey1991 · 13/12/2021 15:30

@xTinkerbell hun I feel like my son won't be coming till his due date or just a day or so before. I've been having irregular contractions since 27/11. Been to the hospital 3 times I was contracting every 10 min one day then every 5 min the next. I was contracting again yesterday every 5-9 min for about 2 hours then they stopped. I can defo feel his head in my pelvic area. Hurts when I walk too.

He might still come sooner @jadey1991 🤞

I had a bit of a shit growth scan appointment today. They had a trainee do it and she took ages to find everything and at the end never shared the baby's weight or percentile on a graph. All I found out was the amniotic fluid has increased further 😔 it's not looking good for me to have a birth where I can stay at home until in established labour. I really wish they would just book me a c section as I'm so worried the placenta is going to fail and he won't make it. Just feeling so anxious about everything today! Sorry for bringing down the mood I just feel I have no one else to talk to.

jadey1991 · 13/12/2021 16:06

@2020mission aww hun, maybe you should call your midwife and explain to her what was said today. Why they didn't plot babies growth on the chart is beyond me. Don't stress about anything hun just see what me says and then take it from there.

Thanks @jadey1991 in NHS Glasgow & Clyde (Scotland) we don't have an assigned midwife so I've not got a number for anyone to chat to, just a few general phone numbers for the maternity hospital departments. I'll at least have the doctor appointment tomorrow afternoon. I'm going to push for them to induce me soon or book a c section as I don't think I can just sit here at home and wait with the risk of placental abruption on the table. I was really hoping I'd go today and be told the fluid had resolved itself. I'm surprised really as I can feel him moving a lot and I don't think I'm looking any bigger than average for 37+5, so it just doesn't feel like I've got excess!

It's nice to hear a lot of you have inductions and c sections booked... more happy baby news soon!

jadey1991 · 13/12/2021 16:59

@2020mission aww bless you hun, I'm can only imagine how you are feeling beautiful. As long as baby is moving and doing what babies do then that's s as good thing. Keep us updated with appointment tomorrow...

2020mission · 13/12/2021 20:16

@xTinkerbell The Princess Royal is where all my appointments have been so I assume I'll be giving birth there although no one has mentioned anything about a birth plan! I'm due 30th December. What about you? Did you ever get access to your maternity notes? They told me they can't give me access to the badger app due to the time I booked in with my pregnancy so I've got no access to anything. It's not been fun as a FTM having no allocated midwife, no notes, etc.

xTinkerbell · 13/12/2021 20:18

Ah I’m the QEUH. Due Christmas Day but c section booked for 21st. That’s rubbish! I have access to badger app but one of the community midwifes is a family friend so I got it through her.

I was exactly the same as you when I had my first though!

2020mission · 13/12/2021 20:43

@xTinkerbell I think they don't tell me anything at appointments too as they probably assume I have access to the app 🙄 I'm actually in the west end just across the water from the QEUH so I have no idea why they ever assigned me to the PRM when the other hospital is closer, it's all so disorganised. Glad you're getting your C-section early so baby will be home with you before Christmas!

xTinkerbell · 13/12/2021 20:51

That’s so frustrating!

I was similar with my first, all my appts were in the Victoria which made no sense. Then meant the midwifes who saw me postnatal weren’t the same ones I saw antenatally. They did ask me at a really early appt where I wanted to give birth though.
