@jadey1991 - haha! I've had 3 episodes of reduced movements the latest being yesterday. Turns out everything is perfectly fine but doctor said he's happy to just get him out sooner 😍

Surely though at 38 weeks all our babes have reduce movement simply because there’s just not enough room in our tummies
🤷🏼 All I seem to feel is higher up under my ribs think it might be his elbow - there’s still sufficient fluid in there though so I guess that’s good news right?

@JW2021 - they say babies should never slow down with their movements regardless of the space they may or may not have.

The issue I had was I was having no movements at all for long periods

Quick question to you all, I've notice within the last couple weeks I've gained half a stone. Before being pregnant I was 9 and half stone. Now I'm 15st... is this normal because I've noticed that my weight has never been checked

@jadey1991 - it was just the doctor on triage. My midwife is crap also 🤷🏻‍♀️ the midwives on triage however are so amazing

@LouLou0505 must be your area. My midwifes in triage are crap. They just want you gone. Just like the last time I went. My actual midwife is ok but she just doesn't listen to me at all.

He's finally here!! 💙💙 so sorry it took me so long to update, it's been a whirlwind! The midwife rang me on Friday lunchtime to ask if they could bring the induction forward to that day, cue full panic mode where I had all sorts of emotions over not being ready, what we were going to do with kids/dog etc. I also had my daughter's nativity to attend before I could go in so had all the mums at school wishing me luck as I was due to go in a couple of hours later. All very surreal!
So I went in, had a balloon induction which got me to 4cms by 2am, went to a labour suite but unfortunately they were short staffed so couldn't break my waters until around 7am, by which time I was back to around 2cms frustratingly. But they did manage to break them and got me on the drip at about 10 since nothing was happening on it's own. They started the drip off slowly and increased the dosage every half an hour so it was at max by around 1pm. It all went from 0-100 after that and I didn't get the epidural I had planned since the only anesthetist available was busy so I pushed him our using gas and air and he arrived at 2.14pm weighing 8lbs 13oz! So in love already and he's been so chilled through the night. Very grateful it's over and can't wait to bring him home to meet the kids later today ❤
Sorry for the essay 😂 got a bit carried away but needless to say we're so happy and relieved that he's here and healthy. Good luck to all of you with the rest of your journies, they will all be here before you know it!x

Wow congratulations he is a cracker ‘pardon the pun!’ I’m not sure if I would be able to cope with them phoning me the same day & saying come in 😫 I’d be a nervous wreck! - on the other hand I suppose you don’t have another two weeks in which to worry about the what if‘s ……you did an amazing job he is so precious 💙👶🏻 - love from the USA xx

Thank you everyone 💓 yes it was definitely a shock being called in early and I was so nervous all afternoon but in the end I'm grateful because otherwise I'd still be in the throws of it now! No name yet but going home to decide with the kids in a minute! Have attached another pic which I took this morning x

@2020mission hey hun, I'm not too bad, been getting bad cramps. I'm in no rush to get to the hospital food then not to do anything. I feel so drained my how are you?

It's a shame you've been teased with the contractions @jadey1991 I thought you'd have had him by now. I'm all right just feeling big and fed up 😅 I'm not even 38 weeks until Thursday. I've got another scan on Monday to check up on the amniotic fluid.

@2020mission I know it's been a long time since having these irregular contractions. Last night I was having too and they were painful. I know how you feel hun with feeling big and fed up. My whole body is swollen. Fingers legs ankles feel and face. I'm 38+1. I just need him here now. I literally cannot do anything other then lay down.

@2020mission it was 18th December but they wanted to induce me early due to his size - very grateful for that now!
@jadey1991 must be awful being teased with it for so long, just hang in there, d-day will be here before you know it x

@burtle4 yes hun just under 2 weeks. I do hope he doesn't come on Xmas day tho. It's crazy coz I've literally tried everything to bring in my labour 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️

@burtle4 congratulations he is adorable. Can’t imagine the last minute panic was fun though but he’s so worth it.
