Hi all
Been watching this post and thought I would jump on it

I'm 44 and 36 weeks pregnant
12 days ago I was sent to hospital with high blood pressure and immediately put o medication
I am now having to visit hospital twice a week but blood pressure is back to normal

On Monday I'm seeing a consultant and having a growth scan
My mental health has hit the floor
And I'm in pain every day
Do I have a right to ask for a c section as soon as possible

I feel bad for you ….. but it doesn’t hurt to ask the dr after all the dr can only say no - but I’m sure they know best besides baby has a little more cooking to do yet!

They won't give you a section before term unless there is a strong reason to deliver baby on the growth scan, or there are more blood pressure problems.
Try and take each day as it comes and be kind to yourself, you are so very nearly there.

@tashx Hi congrats....no harm in asking I suspect they will go by your growth scan though.....hang in there its the last slog so to speak! 💐
I'm due to get induced next friday and tbh it can't come soon enough for me....I'm big,heavy,warn out and thoroughly pissed off lol 😅 This pregnancy has definitely taken its toll on me now and I feel like an emotional bomb ready to burst at any moment.....cried today because I just feel so overwhelmed with it all! But I know next week holding my new son in my arms I will be on top of the world and on a total high.....just got to hold onto that thought x

They have already said they won't let me go to 40 weeks

So was told at start of pregnancy 39 weeks is the max

But had enough now

Already had 5 scans and been under baby doctor etc

Baby fine think my body had enough now

My induction date got brought forward to today since they've got a staff shortage on Sunday so wanted to make sure I get him out before then! Came in at 5pm to be monitored, had a balloon inserted at around 6ish and now it's just a waiting game! Definitely getting crampy tightenings that feel a lot like contractions but they're very sporadic at the moment. Hoping to get a bit of sleep tonight before things kick off properly 🤞

@tashx I'm under consultant care and had extra growth scans aswell....this is my 5th pregnancy and my body is definitely letting me know its had more than enough lol

@tashx hey and congratulations. Welcome to the thread. There is no harm in asking. But if they agreed it wouldn't be until your at least 38+ weeks. Some women have c-sections earlier then that because of there previous pregnancies or because of health issues. See what they say. I feel for you tho hun. I've been in pain for a while. This isn't my first pregnancy. But this pregnancy hasn't been great for me.
I'm 38 weeks tomorrow.

I had me appointment today. She told me I cannot have a sweep until I'm 40weeks of baby doesn't come. I was so furious. As you ladies know I have been having contractions and been in pain. Midwife said baby is engaged but it all depends on when he is ready to come. I spoke to her about my sleeping pattern and was told that baby could be a night baby(so he will be awake at night rather then during the day). My iron levels are 104 so they are slightly high she said. I'm just so over it now. I haven't been out of my house for a few months now other then being dropped off places in a car. I went and got my youngest daughter from her school choir today which is 30min away from me and I'm hoping that has helped bring him on. I've been eating and drinking pineapple juice too.

I've just been told I'm being induced at 39weeks (Thursday) due to reduced movements 😳 it's so crazy to think this time next week our little boy should be with us! 😩💙

@loulou wow yes we have alot of action going on now! Thursday will soon be round.....I'm getting induced at 40wks on Friday 17th we could have babies on same day! 😊

@lovebeingmum9 - oh amazing!! I'm suddenly feeling super scared 😂 even though I new I was going to be induced on my due date bringing it forward is insane 😂

I got to see him in 3D today at the hospital so to see his little face like that just made my heart burst 😩

@loulou Aww its amazing isn't it! To think they are all ready,fully formed and just waiting to be born! 🤰

@LouLou0505 @lovebeingmum9 I've had about 4 episodes of reduced movement so I've got a consultant appointment on Monday to decide whether I'm going to be induced next Friday at 39 weeks aswell! So exciting but so scary!!!

@cutejeans - I would say from what my doctor has told me they probably will induce you if you are happy to be.

My doctor has been really lovely today.

Super scary but exciting, I can't wait to spend tonight doing lovely things with my other half tonight our last Saturday night in just us 😩💙

At MW appointment yesterday I was told if baby doesn't come by 20th dec then I will be given a sweep. To be honest I just baby to come now. I think I've suffered for to long now

@cutejean @loulou aw wow will be lovely that our babies will all possibly be born same day or very close so we can share the sleepless nights lol 😊
@jadey1991 aw your boy is still making you wait....I really feel for you hun! I hope the last week or 2 doesn't drag too much for those of us struggling! I honestly though I would go into labour sooner this time but obviously I must have a comfy inside!
Aw @loulou enjoy your last weekend with your hubby....we are planning a cozy takeaway indoors tonight....crazy to think next weekend will be completely different with a new baby x

I had my OB appointment & another growth scan yesterday baby looks good at the moment estimated 7 lbs. 10 oz. at 38 weeks yikes! Although they told me he has a big head nothing like freaking you out !! So I’m not sure what that means I think probably they are just concerned I may not have a natural birth ….going again next week to see if I am dilated any - so baby for the time being is still cooking nicely!
