@Curlymam88 hello sweetie, I'm so glad you're both doing well and now I'm the comfort of your own home. No need to apologise about not keeping up to date. We know what it can be like. Leola looks so cute. OMG😍... I bet your daughter is having such a lovely time with her sister. Glad she is drinking/loving her milk. I'm so happy for you*@Curlymam88*

@PheebsJ hello hun, aww your bump looks lovely. Twins you say how lovely.. are you having one of each or not? I think you will get induced/c section around 37-38/9 weeks with twins. I've always wanted twins. It runs on both my parents side and I think on my hubby side to.
I can't comment on having children around the same age as my daughters are 13 and 7 so I have a massive gap between them all. ( sadly this isn't what we wanted but I suffered 2 baby losses). I'm really sorry to hear that you have lost a family member. I have lost 2 brother in laws in the space of 4 months. There is a funeral tomorrow for my latest brother in law but sadly I won't be able to attend.

@PheebsJ the gap between our first two is two years exactly, so not quite as close as yours and obviously I only had 2 under 2 rather than 3, but what I will say is that although the early days can be hard with the first one still in nappies and needing all your attention, they grow up to be so close. My two are now 9 and 7 and it's almost like they may as well be the same age! They've got the same level of interest in games they play, programmes they watch on tele, friends they play with, places we go etc. I think it just means it's easier as they get older so it's definitely worth it, even it is a bit more full on in the early days. I worry more now about the big age gap between this one and the older two!x

lovebeingmum9 · 09/12/2021 16:13

@curlymam aw shes doing so well for such a turbulent start....so glad you got to go home and I hope she gets a lovely cuddle from her big sis 💕
@pheeb Hi and congrats on twins! we have twin nephews and although harder while they were newborn I think it's easier for other things now they are older and at the same stage they keep each other entertained lol I havnt got as small age gaps as you but ours are 10,7,4,2 and soon to be newborn.....I like the saying 'fail to prepare then prepare to fail' harsh I know lol For me preparation makes things go a bit smoother in our household aswell as putting everything in a calendar/diary (feeds, changes etc)
@jadey1991 so sorry for your losses... bet that must be tough going on you and your partner 💐 hope the funeral goes as well as can be tomorrow xx

burtle4 · 09/12/2021 16:14

@jadey1991 I can't believe you've lost another brother in law so soon, your poor family. I hope the funeral goes well despite not being able to be there x

jadey1991 · 09/12/2021 17:59

@burtle4 and @lovebeingmum9 thanks ladies. Yes I know it's horrible. They are only young as well. One was 24 and the other 27. 24 year old died of a brain aneurysm and the 27 year is still unknown. He was found in a canal. So hard on my sisters

@jadey1991 So awful for such random things to have happened to both of them at such a young age and in such a short space of time. Your family must be wondering what's going on but so grateful for your little baby bringing you all some happiness ❤

lovebeingmum9 · 09/12/2021 18:34

@jadey1991 so sorry,my heart goes out to you all....they were so young aswell! Its been an awful couple of years for families who have lost loved ones X

jadey1991 · 09/12/2021 18:55

@jadey1991 thank you yes we’re having one of each which is exciting! Yes they haven’t given a date yet but I’ll be induced at around 38 weeks if I’ve not gone into labour by then. Twins run in my family too (I’m actually a twin myself) didn’t make me any less shocked when I found out it was twins though ha ha. So sorry for your losses, to lose 2 family members so close together must’ve awful. Although you are unable to attend I hope the funeral goes well, sending my love to you and your family ❤️

Curlymam88 · 09/12/2021 19:11

Thank you everyone. Its been a lovely day. My eldest is so loving and sweet towards her sister.
Well done @cutejeans on the expressing.
Sorry @LouLou0505 your sweep didn't go to plan.

What baby monitor does everyone recommend? Smile

cutejeans · 09/12/2021 19:58

@PheebsJ wow how amazing! I'd love to have twins but I can't imagine the pregnancy- I'm struggling carrying one baby never mind two🙈

@LouLou0505 oh no that's no good hun, sorry!! Hopefully the sweep next week will go better x

@jadey1991 that's awful! so sorry for your losses, can't imagine what you and your family are going through! Really hope tomorrow goes as well as it can😢 x

jadey1991 · 09/12/2021 20:26

@Curlymam88 we've always gone with the BT ones, really like them

Curlymam88 · 09/12/2021 21:52

Yes the vtech vm3254 has caught my eye in argos. Its bot a bad price and its got 5 star reviews. There's just so many to choose from.

xTinkerbell · 09/12/2021 21:56

we decided to keep our section date quiet so literally the only people who know are my mum and dad who will be watching our little boy. Partners mum doesn’t even know.

Tonight my cousin has got arsey with me over it and I just can’t be bothered!

jadey1991 · 09/12/2021 22:13

@Curlymam88 yes it's really good for the price. We got our one from curry's. I know it was under £100...

OP posts:
jadey1991 · 09/12/2021 22:14

@xTinkerbell it's up to your how you want to tell people. You and your OH want to keep it private. And a surprise, why is your closing being arsey about it x

OP posts:
xTinkerbell · 09/12/2021 22:28

@jadey1991 she’s that kind of person tbh so I’m not surprised but it’s still frustrating. She always thinks she has the right to know everything that’s happening. Literally no one else has been at all bothered when we’ve said we’re not saying!

jadey1991 · 09/12/2021 23:47

@xTinkerbell arghhh I see... oh don't let it stress you girl. She can't make your say anything.

@cutejeans wow 5ml, I’ve tried to hand express 4 times now (morning and evening for 2 days) and have got a measly 0.6ml in total Sad where am I going wrong?

@Curlymam88 so glad you’re home now, hope the meeting with her sister was super special.
We have bought the Hubble baby monitor from Argos. My OH works away a lot and this one is able to connect to the monitor and also to a phone app so at least he can see little one when he’s away still. Although of course I’ll be FaceTimeing all the time Grin

Curlymam88 · 10/12/2021 15:51

@Decadesbcun oh thats a clever idea. There's so many to choose from, we went with the vtech one on the end. I can have a shower without being paranoid that the babys crying now.
