@burtle4 same here. I did post a pic a while back of how mine looked just in case as it's been a long time since i was last pregnant. So I've forgot what to expect.

@tuxedocat aww bless you. I was like that yesterday. There was one women screaming out in pain and I turned to my partner and said I feel for her but I hope I'm not like that lol. I'm nervous about giving birth myself. It's been so long. But apparently the more you have the more easier it is.

I'm getting nervous for Saturday too. I think when you know what to expect it's almost worse! And like @jadey1991 it's been such a long time since having my last it's all become a distant memory that's going to be real again very soon!

lovebeingmum9 · 08/12/2021 19:57

@jadey1991 yes it is tiring but I'm glad they are all safe at home......covid cases are rapidly rising in our area/kids school and the fact all the nativities, parties etc are still able to go ahead I wouldn't feel safe at this late stage in pregnancy.
@Tinkerbell oh bless it couldn't have been nice having that kids of traumatic labour! When is your c section booked for? 😊
2 of my labour's were induced as 2nd was 13days overdue and 4th I was induced on due date but my other 2 I remember getting a sudden increase of discharge and then in the evenings cramps/contractions that I couldn't sleep through.... but both of them times by the time I got seen in hospital I was already 6cm dilated lol the main difference between braxton hicks and real labour contractions is I could easily talk, eat, laugh and carry on through the braxton hicks but the real ones are much stronger/painful and you wouldn't be doing any of that through them! 😅 Also with the looseness 💩 its your body clearing itself out ready for labour but could take weeks, days etc before labour actually starts....could be an early sign though! Even though this is my 5th and final labour and baby I'm no expert and still as nervous and excited as I was 1st time I did it 10yrs ago! To think though now I'm coming to the end of my journey with my last pregnancy I look back and think wow.... I've had 0 pain relief with 1st, gas and air and pethidine with 2nd,2 x epidurals for 3rd & 4th,I've had good birth experiences with dimmed lights, sitting I a birth pool & music on a relaxing ward aswell as traumatic forcep assisted delivery in the theatre with a team of trainees looking on in horror,I've had female midwives and also a male doctor who delivered 1 of ours! All I will say ladies is no matter what your birth story or labour experiences (if they go to plan or don't,if you manage without pain relief or not and if you choose to feed breast or bottle) that's just it.......its all experience to pass down to your beautiful babies your carrying x

xTinkerbell · 08/12/2021 20:08

@lovebeingmum9 the thing that upset me most that I was another horror story. I always wanted to be able to tell people that mine wasn’t that bad but here we are.

C section is booked for the 21st, I’ll be 39+3. My little ones birthday is the day before

lovebeingmum9 · 08/12/2021 20:59

sorry for the essay 🤦‍♀️ got carried away lol

jadey1991 · 08/12/2021 21:04

@lovebeingmum9 yes I totally agree with you. No matter how your north goes it will always and forever stick with you. It a day you will never forget.

lovebeingmum9 · 08/12/2021 21:25

@Tinkerbell hopefully this time will be a much better and totally different experience than your last! 💐
@jadey1991 100% true! ❤

burtle4 · 08/12/2021 21:51

Totally agree @lovebeingmum9, and with this being my last one too I just want to make the most of the whole experience, however it ends up going!

lovebeingmum9 · 08/12/2021 22:17

@burtle4 aw it's emotional knowing its the last time isn't it......can't wait to complete our family and enjoy life 😊 will miss the bump and baby wriggles inside....but won't miss the aches, pains and sickness lol

jadey1991 · 08/12/2021 22:49

@lovebeingmum9 and @burtle4 I'm with you both on the last pregnancy. It's emotional but exciting. As much as I'm in pain and frustrating with no sleep etc I'm defo going to miss my belly bump. And the journey.

@Curlymam88 hope all is well hun and baby is doing ok. X

@Curlymam88 wow she really is absolutely gorgeous!! Look at those cheeks🥺 so glad you're both finally home and doing so well! X

cutejeans · 09/12/2021 11:22

After seeing @LouLou0505 message last night I thought I'd try a colostrum harvest to see if it got anything more going with me but no luck! Cramps have also gone away now too😩 who'd have ever thought I'd be sad that I'm not in pain anymore?!🤣

LouLou0505 · 09/12/2021 11:23

@Curlymam88 - oh look at her she's so yummy 😩😍

LouLou0505 · 09/12/2021 11:25

@cutejeans - keep going girl!! I did a little more last night managed to get a whole syringe in a day! Got braxton hicks but that's all.

Got my sweep in 2 hours so going to have a nice bath to try and relax, have my sweep then harvest again and have all my fingers and toes crossed

cutejeans · 09/12/2021 11:30

@LouLou0505 wow that's really good! I was surprised how much I got actually it's the first time I've done a harvest aswell, and I was exactly the same with the braxton hicks! Good luck with your sweep, hopefully it gets things going for you! How far along are you? Sorry not sure if you've said, there's too many dates to keep track of hahaha xx

LouLou0505 · 09/12/2021 11:34

@cutejeans - did you use a warm compress before hand? I used a hot water bottle but didn't get anything out of my left at all!

I used to have both my nipples pierced and my left one messed up a lot so I did wonder if that would have an impact on it 🤷🏻‍♀️

Thanks! I'm 38weeks today! Finally feel as though he's dropped!

cutejeans · 09/12/2021 11:44

@LouLou0505 I actually did it in the bath! I was reading about expressing breast milk and lots of women said they got more doing it that way, so I had a nice long soak and then gave it a go. I got 5ml in the syringes, I couldn't believe it!!
I'm 38 weeks tomorrow and definitely feel like he's dropped too, I saw some family last night and they said my bump looks lower so hopefully he doesn't leave me waiting too long🤞🏼

LouLou0505 · 09/12/2021 11:50

@cutejeans - bloody hell that's good!! I have all my fingers and toes crossed for you too! I'm getting a bit sick of everyone tell me how late he'll be as he's our first 😔

We haven't told any family that we are being induced on his due date either because I'm sick of everyone telling me their opinions 😂

I don't know about anyone else but my patience is wearing thin now 😂 I found myself shouting at I'm a celeb last night 😂

burtle4 · 09/12/2021 12:26

@Curlymam88 she's absolutely gorgeous! So glad you're home at last and get to enjoy the siblings meeting each other for the first time ❤

JW2021 · 09/12/2021 12:27

Hi all not sure if this was the chat I was in before since I haven’t been on here in at least 2 months both as I forgot about it and things have been tough (we suffered a loss in the family unfortunately) I’m technically due on 12th Jan but as I’m having twins they’ll probably arrive late dec/early Jan. I’m now 35 weeks and they’re growing away, I feel ginormous! Can’t wait for them to arrive now we finally have their names picked out and have everything we need, so nervous though as we’ll have a 1 year old and 2 newborns! Have anyone else here had kids close in age and have tips? 😅

PheebsJ · 09/12/2021 12:29

@Curlymam88 congratulations she is absolutely gorgeous!! ❤️

LouLou0505 · 09/12/2021 13:53

Couldn't get a proper sweep 😔 cervix is soft but still too high she tried to pull it down apparently but gave it a good massage 😂

Got another booked in for 39weeks so we'll see!
