I've stopped receiving notifications again!!! Good luck @jadey1991 I hope you can maybe get a sweep or something to get things going. Id keep telling them how uncomfortable you are and tell them you just can't do any more like this. I really hope you get things progressing soon.

Hey ladies, I've just left the hospital. I am only 1cm dilated. They refused to give me a sweep. I was so pissed off(mind my french) I can't wait till it's all over with now

@LouLou0505 how far will you be by then. I can't quite comment on the bleeding side of it. I'm not to sure.

@jadey1991 - I’ll be 38weeks exactly and then I have another booked in for 39weeks

@loulou walking alot helps bring on labour.....one of mine was 3 days early because I went on a long walk! I doubt the small amount of bleeding on examinations would hurt but if your worried hun question your midwife to put your mind at rest x what examinations are you having and why if you don't mind me asking?
@jadey1991 why wouldn't they give you a sweep to help you along.....or do you have to be 38wks? I had my last midwife app this morning....all good baby in good position and went over some birth details but that's it now until next friday when I go into hospital to be induced! 10 days 😁💙

@lovebeingmum9 - I wish I could of walked today but I honestly struggle to go to the loo today!

No examinations just my sweep on Thursday, I meant when I do have examinations normally 😊 Yeah I’ll ask my midwife but she’s just awful which makes me dread being around her 😔

Hi everyone, baby keeps having reduced movements so now on twice weekly monitoring at triage! If it continues I'll be induced at 39 weeks so next Friday😬 feeling nervous but excited and just can't wait for him to be here now!!

@jadey1991 that's very frustrating but I suppose at least you're dilating and on the right tracks! I had an examination on Saturday and cervix is still long and closed😩

@LouLou0505 that's exactly how I feel with walking!! So much pressure down there it's almost unbearable🤣

@lovebeingmum9 if I'm induced next Friday our babies may have the same birthdays!!☺️

@loulou The midwives aren't sounding very helpful for many of us this time....mines been ok but just standard,I've had some lovely ones over the years too though!

I honestly don't know why they didn't give me a sweep. I see my MW on Friday so I'm hoping she gives me the sweep. Friday is going to be a hard day as it is as my other brother in law passed away so his funeral is Friday. Unfortunately I won't be able to attend that but what can I do. I'm like you @LouLou0505 my baby needs to come now. I've never experienced anything like this before. So typical. It must be a boy thing..

Wouldn't it be great if we both can get our sweeps and things start moving.

I don't know if sweeps do much with first babies. My mums told me I just have to try and relax as much as I can in the hope they can get a good one 🤷🏻‍♀️

@LouLou0505 I don't remember having a sweep with my first. With my second I did and my labour progressed so quick. I was already 2cm dilated when they gave me a sweep. Then before I knew it I was pushing lol.
I suppose your mum is right in saying to just relax. Easier said then done lol. Especially when your feeling so rough. I wonder who will having there baby next. I'm just praying that on Friday I get the sweep and then things happen quite quickly.

@LouLou0505 and I also forgot to say thanks. Since being pregnant I've lost 2 brother in laws in the space of 4 months🤦🏽‍♀️🥺

I've been watching birthing videos and I really shouldn't have 😂

I've been having braxton hicks this afternoon but wish it would turn into actual contractions 😂

@JW2021 it's a membrane sweep, the midwife sweeps her fingers around the cervix to separate the membranes. If it works it helps release hormones.

They don't tend to do it earlier than your due date unless there is an actual need for it i.e medical reasons

@LouLou0505 aww bless you. Where is baby positioned in your belly? Midwife and hospital say baby is in ceph long position which is great as he is in birthing position

@jadey1991 - they haven't actually told me! My last 2 midwife apps they couldn't figure out his position

@loulou Haha I used to be fascinated watching one born every minute when pregnant 1st/2nd time.....I prefer not to now 😅 its lovely how this is your 1st....bet your excited! Your midwife should be able to know what position baby is in by now otherwise how would they know if babies not back to back for labour?
My belly is rock solid most of the time so when I do get braxton hicks I get a bit confused as to if its mainly just babies back! Is everyone set on babies names now or are you waiting to see them before you decide? 😊

Well as I've got my sweep booked he must be head down and in a good position 🤷🏻‍♀️ I keep dreaming that I'll go for my sweep and she'll say I'm dilated 😂 wishful thinking I know!

We've been set on his name since we found out I was pregnant won't be changing!

Listening to my little niece walk round saying his name just melts my heart 😍

@loulou no harm in wishful thinking lol this is my 5th but I've never had a sweep....obviously been offered but just never fancied it! Mixed reviews some say it worked for them and others say they had 3 attempts and nothing.....hopefully works for you 🤞
Aw thats lovely....yes we're set on a name too! Our children come over and talk to him,tell him they love him etc its just too cute 😊

We are set on one particular Name but still waiting till he comes. I use to love watching one born every minute too. Haven't seen it in a long time.

@lovebeingmum9 my first baby was back to back and no one picked up on it in my pregnancy and even when I first went into labour even with the painful contractions in my back. Though this time midwife looked at me and said she could tell from my bump baby was back to back. All I was told with my first was he was head down and was given multiple sweeps.

@LouLou0505 mine may of worked with baby 1 but not sure…my first attempt at a sweep was 40&3 and they couldn’t do it at all because my cervix was totally closed. Tried again at 41+3. Went into labour 2 days later. I was booked for induction at 41+6 so went in even though I was in labour and they gave me a few more to try and avoid induction.

We aren’t really set on a name. Well, we don’t know babies gender and have a short list of a couple of names for each gender but I have an absolutely favourite for each. I know my favourites aren’t my partners favourites though.

@xTinkerbell yeah that sounds like you had a rough time so to speak. I cannot imagine being over 49 weeks pregnant. I've never got that far before. Always been 38 weeks +... aww how exciting that you don't know baby's gender. To be honest I didn't want to know myself but me and hubby couldn't resist.
Do you have any ideas of what the gender may be?

Nothing much going on here for me! 38 weeks on Saturday and I’m so ready to meet baby now.

Hopefully there will be some news of more babies soon.
