@Theawkwardblonde I'm sorry to the news that you was given. I would say try not to stress about it. Baby could be laying more towards your back. When are you 38 weeks?
@Curlymam88 aww I'm sorry to hear about babies glucose levels. You must been pulling your hair out. Main thing is she is where she needs to be. As a new mum it must be difficult not to be able to hold her straight away. I'm glad that everything is working out over there.
I'm so happy that everything is getting better and you was able to hold her. Aww I do feel for you hun. Hopefully you and baby will be home in no time x

The maternity ward....the only place where you get congratulated for having a poo 🤣

Hope everyone is doing well? Any signs of the little ones to come??

lovebeingmum9 · 06/12/2021 13:30

Its mad saying baby's due next Friday.....that sounds crazy that could have baby by next weekend lol
Hi @curlymam bet your on an emotional roller coaster atm.....but hopefully once you get the all clear to go home you will be on a high for a week or two! How are you and baby doing? xx I've had a few random braxton hicks/contractions here and there but my belly is rock solid all the time so it makes it hard to tell! I thought this one may come early but now I'm thinking he's going to wait it out lol 😆

Curlymam88 · 06/12/2021 14:01

Hope you are doing well? Bit crap you can't get hold of midwife hope she gets in touch soon.

jadey1991 · 06/12/2021 17:02

@Curlymam88 glad you are doing well and baby is doing great... yes I really do feel like crap. I'm sure baby head is in my pelvis coz I'm finding it hard to walk.

OP posts:
lovebeingmum9 · 06/12/2021 19:43

@Jadey1991 I can never normally get hold of my midwife when I need to either!
@curlymam that will be a special moment when your girls meet aw it's magical!
my day took an unexpected turn today.....I got 2 emails from school saying that covid cases have risen within the school and that my daughters classroom would be going into a bubble to try prevent the spread! I've pulled my 3 children out from school for the remaining 9 days because I can't risk us all catching it what with me feeling crap already with bronchitis and baby due in next 11 days.....too close for comfort for me! Kids are happy to be home and I will be homeschooling for next 2 weeks
😅

jadey1991 · 06/12/2021 19:52

@lovebeingmum9 I think you did the right thing hun. Can't rush anything now. Got to make sure you're safe as well as the children x

@Curlymam88 glad to hear you snd baby are doing ok, hope you and baby get out of hospital soon.

Was on checking to see if anymore baby have arrived, i was in hospital thursday again more contractions but cervix is closed so no idea what is going on they were picked up on monitor and the doctor could feel them on my belly, they wanted to keep me overnight but i said no as all they were doing was on ward for monitoring and i would be better and more comfortable at home, which ended up the right call nothing happened. Im 37 weeks today and this time in 2 weeks my little girl should be in my arms! Its all so real now!

burtle4 · 06/12/2021 22:13

Good to hear how everyone's doing. I had my final growth scan today at 38+2 and he currently weighs 8lbs 7oz so quite glad that I'm being induced on Saturday! Had midwife straight after who gave me a sweep to see if we could start things moving more naturally but don't think it's done anything. I'm getting painful braxton hicks every so often, but have been having them for a while now so don't think it means anything. Just can't believe that in 5 days I'll be going in to have my baby!! Just hope we can avoid covid until then....

Curlymam88 · 06/12/2021 23:22

@lovebeingmum9 I had a message from the school friday after I came up from my c section saying there's covid in my daughters class. I wrote an email to the school straight away saying my daughter won't be in for the rest of the term and explained the situation with baby in baby care unit. Iys not like they do alot of work the last 2 weeks of term anyway.
Thank you @julzx shes doing really well. I even got her dressed tonight. Its the littlest of things that make my day at the moment. She looks different in clothes from where I've just been seeing her in an incubator in her nappy all the time. I bet you can't wait for your little one to come now. The end/beginning is so near Smile
@burtle4 you really are on the final countdown. 5 days will be down before you know it Grin

jadey1991 · 07/12/2021 07:05

Good morning ladies. Update from me. I have t slept all night yet again. Been having so many contractions but have been about 10 min apart. I can actually feel baby in my pelvic bone. Really hurts when I walk. Pain tolerance isn't great I get the shakes. I'm 37+3 so I'm
Hoping this is the time for him to come. Feel like crap. Hope to hear some news from you all soon. X

Fingers crossed @jadey1991 that this is it, all the stopping and starting must be a nightmare. Can you see a midwife to find out if you're dilated at all or at least to get a sweep like I did to try and get things moving more quickly? She said I was about 1cm when she did mine but that's mostly to do with the fact I've had children before!

lovebeingmum9 · 07/12/2021 07:17

Thanks @jadey1991 and @curlymam Thankfully school have been understanding ! They said it will have to go down as unauthorised absence but will make sure nothing comes of it with fines or anything. 😊 like you said the last few weeks of school is mainly filled with class parties and Christmas activities etc I'm sure I can do enough at home to keep them all busy and happy! aw I bet it was lovely getting little leola dressed! hopefully the days in hospital go quick for you both now and can be home at weekend or next week if not sooner 🤞

lovebeingmum9 · 07/12/2021 07:20

@julzx and @burtle4 not long for you both now ladies! really good size for baby too! I've got midwife app this morning and 10 days until my due date/induction now 😊💙

burtle4 · 07/12/2021 07:23

@lovebeingmum9 exciting!! There's going to be babies popping out all over the place soon!

jadey1991 · 07/12/2021 07:43

@burtle4 oh hun my MW seems shit. I messaged her Friday last week and to this day I haven't heard nothing from her. I think I will go up to triage again today and find out because it's starting to bother me. When I was last in hospital I wasn't dilated. But my cervix was opened slightly. I was contracting every 10min in the Saturday and then every 5 min in the Sunday last week. I really do hope it's 3rd time lucky.

Isn’t it crazy how it’s all starting to happen now!

Again this is my first baby so I have no idea what I should be feeling but I went for a walk yesterday up and down hills and it was such a struggle! I now can’t walk properly 😂 I ache down there and feel so heavy but I don’t think my bump looks low at all 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’ve got my first sweep on Thursday and I’m nervous but excited.

A question for all, when I have examinations I tend to bleed a bit which is totally normal for me! But, because i’m Rhesus negative and baby is positive is there any risk now with bleeding do you think?

I’ve had my anti-d but my midwife has literally not given me any information AT ALL about it!
