@Curlymam88 how exciting!! That's so soon! I've just had my induction date for 11th December so 11 days to go at most! Can't believe how quickly we're all nearing the end!
@lovebeingmum9 that's great news about your test results but I'm with you on feeling like getting it is just around the corner. Just need to stay covid free until the 11th so my husband can come into the hospital with me 🤞🤞🤞

jadey1991 · 30/11/2021 13:20

@lovebeingmum9 oh no way. Schools are not good with ventilation. I do hope u all get better soon.

Thanks everyone. I need to get my brain into gear and sort out childcare etc now. I was expecting next week not this Friday. Im not complaining think im just in a bit of shock. The next 2 days are going to be boring as hell ive literally just got to sit in the hospital for 2 days being monitored after the steroid injections. Think im going to go buy a book or some magazines to pass the time.

jadey1991 · 30/11/2021 13:28

@curlymam can't wait to see and hear your news and how all goes for you on 3rd!
@jadey1991 I see a pretty girls face with black curly hair......I always wonder if its a ancestors looking in when I see faces on people's scans!
I've got a Dr calling me this afternoon as I feel so poorly I think I may have bronchitis.....now I've had negative pcr can rule that out but I'm super chesty/wheezy so hopefully they can suggest something....I don't want to feel this crap going into labour in next few weeks....I had to cancel mw app this morning because hadn't had test results back so will see them next Tuesday now and I've got consultant call tomorrow about my induction so should get booked in! x

jadey1991 · 30/11/2021 13:56

Hello everyone just got back from my 36 week check up - had the group B test - didn’t hurt a bit - considering what’s to come! OB thinks my belly measurement is 39 weeks yikes I have to believe that it’s a ‘guesstimate’ though anyway he’s going to give me another scan next week so that’s a bonus in my book! That really will be a heck of a lot more accurate than a measuring tape I’m certain my dates are correct - jezzz if not I could be giving both this time next week!

JW2021 · 30/11/2021 19:40

Just saw that scan of the scary but super cute little face Jade! Strange really how our minds work in mysterious ways you only have to look in the clouds or the coals on a fire to get the same effect - although I do believe in the afterlife and people looking over us…… it’s probably just my pregnancy brain working overtime anyone else?

jadey1991 · 30/11/2021 20:08

Aww glad all went well @JW2021. I'm measuring 38weeks myself. Sonographer said I'm quite Big too. Yes our minds to work in mysterious ways. I believe in after life. Always have.

jadey1991 · 30/11/2021 20:11

@JW2021 I also heard that apparently midwives that use the measuring tape are more accurate then scans

OP posts:
LouLou0505 · 01/12/2021 06:14

@jadey1991 - really? Everyone I’ve spoken to says to ignore tape measure readings.

And In my experience so far, two times I’ve been measured, my bump has gone flat due to his position so I’ve measured super small, which is why I had 2 growth scans and both of those scans then showed just how big he really is. it was just the position he was in. So I personally ignore what they say when they measure me 😂😂

Theawkwardblonde · 01/12/2021 06:34

@LouLou0505 I was the same with the tape measure. Sent for a scan a few weeks ago as bump was small-baby is fine.
I was measured yesterday and bump is small again (despite midwife saying I'm all baby) and a scan booked for Monday.

jadey1991 · 01/12/2021 06:56

@LouLou0505 yeah I think find the measuring tape accurate. Could just be me and my opinion...

OP posts:
tuxedocat · 01/12/2021 08:35

Wow I’ve missed so much!
I think the tape is useless personally as everytime I’ve been measured I’ve been sent for a scan. I think it depends on the person and how they carry to how accurate it is.

I had a false start on Saturday where I had some cramps for a few hours but thankfully got in the bath and it died down. I’ve come down with a rotten cold the last few days so I’m def glad it was false as I’ve hardly slept and worked non stop all week!
Been waking up with lots of watery discharge most mornings - thought my waters had gone yesterday but my nose is blocked so I couldn’t do the smell test 😂

Was told baby is fully engaged last week so will have to see how things go. I’d love another weekend to chill out and fit the car seat and get my bag properly packed and then she’s free to come!

jadey1991 · 01/12/2021 08:54

@tuxedocat aww hun, I'm the same as you. I was in and out of hospital Saturday and Sunday. I am in my early stages of labour.(that was then) now I'm still contracting but not as often. I've felt baby move down a little more so I'm hoping within the next week he will be here.

I've been having a lot of watery/thick discharge myself the past few days. I had a growth scan yesterday and noticed that my AF has dropped since a month ago so I'm think I may have lost some water.

I'm all prepared now and waiting for him to arrive.
